    Love, love, love the colors you chose for your Nightshift. It is going to be so cozy!
    Your Rock It Tee is so cute! And yes, I totally get the Neapolitan ice cream vibes. I would totally be craving ice cream while working on it too 😁
    I’m so excited that you’ve taken up spinning! I’m glad that you’re saving your first skein. It is something that I wish I had done when I started out on my spinning journey too. My favourite breed of wool for socks is Gotland It is definitely more on the rustic side but the fibre has such lovely shine and is super durable for high-wear items. I highly recommended it!

    Thank you for a wonderful evening company❤. Your daffodil and samphrey are so pretty😍, I think the daffodil would go very well as a tee actually. I see exactly what you mean about the reverse stockinette part though. Your partners sweater will turn out so wonderful, it really is a labor of love❤. All your projects are so beautiful and yes it really screams ice cream about the wonderful yarn😍😋. You've really picked up on spinning, you've already become super good at it, so fun to come along on your journey🤩. A wonderful episode as always💞

      Can I pick your brain? You mentioned knitting with Lettlopi and I recently made a Felix pullover using this yarn. I found the ribbing sticks out slightly, kind of balloons, have you ever had that happen with your knits? I am wondering about unpicking and knitting the ribbing again on smaller needles. I tend to knit loosely, although I have never had this issue before, so don't think this the issue...

    • @KnittingWithCatHair
      @KnittingWithCatHair  Рік тому +1

      Hi Anne. I can't say I've had that issue but I wonder, did you go down a needle size when knitting the ribbing? If not, I would suggest doing that. If it's just the very bottom of the ribbing that is ballooning perhaps you cast off too loosely? Hope these help! 🤗💕

    Yaaay, congratulations on getting the job! 🎉👏 Your celebratory cast-on is beautiful!!! I'm also slowly getting into spring/summer knits and I've already seen some interesting patterns popping up on Revelry, which is exciting. You have truly become a spinner now, especially after saying that you struggle to spin thicker - it's a THING 😁 So you should cherish those thicker yarns that you spun at the beginning, because from now on it will require more focus to actually get to a worsted/aran yarn 😄

    Your sock I’m glad you’re using Fabel yarn for socks
    I’ve been wanting to try it !!!!

    Could you tell me how many balls for a pair please ??

      @KnittingWithCatHair  Рік тому

      Thanks so much Debbie! I find 100 grams of a fingering weight sock yarn is more than enough for a pair of socks. The Drops Fabel balls are only 50 grams so I recommend getting 2 so you don't have to play yarn chicken. Happy Making 🤗💕

    Congratulations on your new job! I love your Daffodil and Rock It; they're so pretty! I have a few spindles but they got mislaid when we were rearranging the house and I've been looking for them ever since (don't let anyone else move your craft stuff for you: they never remember where it is and it takes forever to find it again lol). I saw a box that looked promising yesterday but I can't reach it so I'll have to wait for someone taller and more able to reach it for me. I look forward to seeing what you decide with the Daffodil, since I'll be knitting a similar size when I get to it (hopefully in time to join your KAL). Catch you next time!

    Congrats on the job confirmation, Nikki :) Your Daffodil is looking gorgeous! I am watching while on holiday in the Netherlands, casting on a new cardi (Traveler's Cardigan, Ozetta in unspun from Raincloud and Sage). About the Holst Supersoft: I have just finished a Gibb II from Andrea Mowry for my partner and held supersoft with Malabrigo thinking it would add more structure and maybe even shrink a bit, but the Malabrigo won, and it is still a super-stretchy fabric. Oh well haha

    Thank you for another lovely podcast, with lots of knitting and spinning inspiration. That Dafodil is looking so sweet. The colour goes very well with the pattern. I follow your work on the Samphfrey with lots of interest as I plan to cast on mine in the autumn. Did I almost hear you saying that you might as well have knitted the body flat? I am still debating weather to knit in the round or flat. I did enjoy the Chestnut even though it was knitted flat.
    Congratulations on your job 💪 The celebration cast on looks very happy and festive.
    I cannot believe how fast you are taking to spinning thin and consistent singles. I am looking forward to following your breed study. I badly want to try Jacob, I think I will love it, next summer I will go for a raw fleece. I have a lot of wool (Leicester, Texel, Corriedale and Spelsau) to get on with in the meantime.

    • @KnittingWithCatHair
      @KnittingWithCatHair  Рік тому

      Thanks so much Inger 🥰 Hahaha you caught me on the Samphrey 🙈 I'm just feeling over my head with the modification to knit partially in the round. I think a better option would have been to put steek stitches in the entire way up both sides that way it can be knit in the round but there's no struggle to figure our where the sleeve holes are placed. Can't wait to see what you end up doing with yours 🤗💕

  • @barbararadzeviciusbondi4150

    Hi Nikki. I've found that knitting with mohair and fine particles give me sinus. Especially when there's a fan or AC blowing around. Mohair is gorgeous but it is problematic.
