I've been rewatching all your videos right from the beginning and throughly I'm enjoying revisiting them, I find them very comforting. I've got to say I think the jumper Andrew is wearing in this episode is my all time favourite, such a handsome gentleman. I'm so pleased for you and Madeline that you decided to start fruity knitting and have all this amazing footage of Andrew that you wouldn't have otherwise had. I hope you find comfort in them and in seeing footage of him loving you both so much 💞
WOW guys, just wow. I had to pop over to Patreon and become a little fluffy hebredian after this podcast. You have inspired me and taught me so much and I love love love your podcast so much. Thank you.
Wow!! Andrew in his Firebird Jumper! He looks so handsome in it and you did a BEAUTIFUL job!! I’ve just come to your podcast recently and decided I’d start from Episode 1 and work my way to present. Thoroughly enjoying each and every episode! Well done!
oh my gosh, you just keep getting better and better...I am working on the windy scarf with your tutorial as my guide...thankyou for the endless inspiration...I LOVE marie's designs!... did not know about her work before seeing them on your podcast...so looking forward to marie's book, and looks like the petrel would be lovely on you...I foresee a trip to Shetland, maybe see you there...
You guys just amaze me with your podcast. So inspirational. I don't usually rewatch podcasts but I do yours. Marie is one of my favourite designers. So a big thank you
Thank you thank you! It is like waiting for christmas waiting for your podcast. Seriuously, I am planning to become patron because i cannot be without this fantastic source !!
I'm so glad you decided to keep the lovely pieces of music in your podcast. It's one of the many lovely things that keep me watching. I just discovered you and I'm watching through to the most recent. You do a really wonderful job. Thanks for all the hard work.
i've just found your podcast and wanted to say how enjoyable it is. You're both so natural in front of the camera and it's great to find a podcast that is focused on the actual knitting content. This particular episode with the Marie Wallin interview was so fascinating and it was great to hear about her design process. I just wanted to drop in a tip that i've found invaluable when substituting colours in fairisle designs: take a photo of your colour choices then turn it into a 'black and white' (meaning grey chromatic) picture. Some colours that your may have thought would work well together, sometimes turn out to be far too similar in tonal value and won't work. I can't remember who told me this particular tip, but it's something i always do now when working with multiple colours. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful podcasts. Thank you!
Hi Pat. Andrea likes to say we started at the top of Mount Snowdon and went downhill from there! There are a lot of great people to talk to, we just need to catch them. Thank you for your ongoing support. Andrew.
Marie Wallin is a wonderful lady, I have met her, she is so funny and I have all her books, except for her last one Winter Crochet, which I will be getting very soon. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast, thank you.
Andrew looks great in the firebird gentleman's jumper. The colours really suit him. Fantastic work. Love your podcasts. As a basic knitter I find them quite inspiring and I am sure I will learn heaps.
+FruityKnitting This is excellent, this past Saturday I received by mail Marie Wallin's book, Springtime, and planning on starting out with my first jumper using intarsia. I am just waiting on the Rowan yarn, using the colors suggested in the pattern, to also arrive. It's going to be my big project during my winter vacation from December to January. Thank you Andrea and Andrew for your encouragement and your lovely videos, tutorials, and knitting advice. :)
Lisa R - Andrea , it’s interesting that your mod of the bobbles was the thing I noticed and loved the look of before you ever pointed it out. To my eye , it s more attractive because of the separations between bobbles 👍🏻♥️
Since I’m only on Episode 17, I hope you didn’t have to take the music off as it is one of the parts that makes your podcasts so entertaining , pleasant and classy! Love it! Enjoy the bit of culture it brings along with all of the things you do.
Hi Holly. We try to use music that should be ok on UA-cam, but we have had a couple of occasions where our information was not correct and we had to remove the music from the video. It's a tricky area, but we really do try to be careful. We love having great music on the show - it's a really important part for us.
Hi - Andrew here. I love the jumper. Andrea puts a lot of work into making sure her garments fit well, which is great, and it is a stunning design by Jade Starmore. Thanks for watching.
Just found your podcast. Love it!! Want to make Fair Isle-which podcast did you show how to carry strands. I taught my sons and some of their friends to knit so very happy to see Andrew knitting
Well I done it! I have become a Patron as of this evening, it was easy. I highly recommend other viewers to be Patrons too, lots of benefits. Its well worth it, best Podcast I have EVER viewed. Wish I could knit a Fair Isle jumper like yours. I knitted a pair of Fair Isle sox for my Swedish penpal and good friend, Agneta, u can take a peek on my FB shop page, see wot u think.
I needed to change my credit card number for your patrons program and could not get in so I decided to re- register but when it comes to tap the agree to terms and pay button it keeps telling me to come back later which I have several times. 😬
@@wollfaden1979 lol considering you asked 3 months ago, I didn’t think you were gonna reply and actually appreciate the answer. Glad it helped, you’re welcome 😉

This was an advice given in the podcast before this, by the designer and teacher Lynn Manderville (fidlstix).
Each garment is spectacular. I can't believe things can keep getting better!

Thank you for the fantastic interview with Marie Wallin. I am not surprised all her workshops are sold out until 2022! She really is an inspiration :)
Yep.... I just showed off my socks to my friends during afternoon tea ☕️
Loved the podcast! x
Thanks, Karen. It's always good to hear.
The changing of colors reminds me a bit of transposing music. Not everything works, but you just need the right ear (eye for colors).

Do knitters add lifelines to fair isle projects ?
Hi. Is Marie Wallin's fair isle jumper steeked?
What is the name of the sweater that Andrew wears with the celtic knots?
It’s a design by Alice and Jade Starmore :)
