Really recommend picking up a 120 main jet . I also ordered a variety of main jets. Carburetor Main Jet Kit Replace for Mikuni VM22 VM24 VM26 125CC 150CC 200CC 250CC for Dirt Bike Pit Bike, and for ATV 88 90 95 98 100 105 110 115 120 125 130 135 140 145 150 a.co/d/gfzPaIh
To anyone who did buy the cheap Chinese carb, I purchased one too. The motorcycle (Yamaha TW200) had been sitting up for nearly two years, the carb that was on it was also a cheap Chinese carb so I replaced it with a new one from Amazon. It ran great for a day before it quit. Long story short, the gas tank had trash in it. So, after cleaning the tank and replacing the petcock and then taking apart the carb and cleaning the jets in a sonic cleaner everything works fine. It was just dirty gas getting into the new carburetor. So if anyone bought a cheap Chinese carb and it's doing the same thing as the previous one, make sure your tank and petcock is clean. Hope this helps someone. Great video btw! Maybe I'll upgrade to this carb some day. 👍
The beauty of a real Mikuni carb is that you don't have to drop the whole float bowl to change the main jet. Just unscrew and drop the bottom cap with a wrench. Easy off; easy back on.
I use a 130 Main jet in my Tdub that being said I live in a low altitude area with a DG exhaust. She will cruse at 60MPH all day and I can push her to 70 on flat road.
Hi! I have a lot of content to catch up on as I have had internet issues here in the Colorado mountains. This was a good one as always. Hope all is well your way. Thumb up and shared.
Very good video ,wow you must love being back. Looks like a way better place to ride and live, reminds me a lot like upstate NY. I know the snow sucks but you have the tdub, so plenty of things to do in the snow with that small tank! of a machine.
Better place to live but the riding is so much better down there in Cali in my opinion. Not a lot of options up here compared to the endless trails down there
Nice, been looking for a TW change carb kinda vid for ages ... over here in the UK are choke for the carb runs all the way up to the handlebars. Mines been sitting in the garage for about 5 years now, need to get the carb cleaned for this summer :)
Remember this passages in the carbs have bebes press in the sides of the carb som times that leak air happens when shops clean them hot water soap cleaning tanks . I know I work at a shop it interdues air in the carb
Did you adjust the air fuel mix? Mine was shipped mostly closed. It ran but bogged. After I adjusted it properly it was much better. Also I'm using a 118. Once ya think ya got it right toss a new plug in it and run it a bit then check it. You know the drill: White / ashy - too lean, Black - too fat (rich), Brown / tan - 👍
The TW200 intake system comes messed up from the factory. The stock CV carb is a nightmare piece of garbage as is the resin intake manifold. Yamaha should absolutely be ashamed of themselves.
You should change the title to "Trying out a Nibbi carb on the TW200". I bet it would get more hits. The throttle kit with the cable was good, proper length cable and everything? Thanks for putting out this video.
I'm no expert by any means but the 104cm cable felt a little too long. I went with the 91.5cm cable and it seems to be just right in my humble opinion.
I haven't had the time in the last year and some change to get this TW back running properly. I been troubleshooting something else that isn't the carb. I'd recommend it though. I might swap it over to my other TW and tinker around with it when I get home. I been gone for months unfortunately for work.
Gasoline containing ethanol will start gumming everything up if not used within 3 months. Ethanol-free gasoline is not readily available here in Arizona, but every two months I drive up to Utah to see family and come back with 10 gallons of ethanol free gasoline for the dirt bikes and lawnmower.
I have heard that the throttle assy. only turns about 45 degrees instead of the more common 90 degrees when at full throttle. Is this true with the NIBBI assy you bought?
Did you have any trouble at all with getting the 28mm carb to fit the stock rubber boot connections, or any clearance issues? I was looking at doing this conversion and thought the 26mm carb was more in line with the size of the rubber connections. Thanks
@keneschman7983 it was a little tight. I had to get a new intake boot on the front side because it was worn and started to cause vacuum leaks but that was well after this video. They are cheap on ebay thankfully
@@dualdorks Thanks for getting back to me. Did you have enough clearance for the cable coming out of the top of the carb? It looks like it may be in line with the frame over top of the carb. Thanks again.
I been having vacuum leaks without me realizing but I just replaced the intake manifold so now I am going through the Nibbi carb again as of last night lol. I'll have a follow up video hopefully soon
Yoooo, Dubble Dee!! 😁 Question for ya brother.. I have that same carb and throttle on my TDub, and my neighbor has been tinkering with it.. Still the factory jet, but, 1 it was initially breaking up / like a bog/dead-spot, and 2 He mentioned that there wasn't an adjustment for fuel? There's Only the adjustment for Air? [Comparing it to the OEM carb] Now we're dealing with real-bad-gas again: Like f'n Sludge, and zero clue why.. Any actual/factual info about the carb / adjustments would be Greatly appreciated! I have the 120 jet here at my place, so I'll at least get that to him to pop in.. Annnn.. GO! LOL Thanks D!!
Other than messing with the main, pilot , needle and fuel air mix that's the only real adjustments you can make to it. Unfortunately I been having problems with my TW engine so I haven't had the time to do a compression text but as of now while I'm writing this I got a spare TW engine in the back of my truck. About to go put that one in and try the nibbi on that engine
@@dualdorks Right on buddy, thanks a bunch! That's pretty much the same as what we were thinking, and surprise surprise . . . He dropped it back off over here about 20 min ago - Running Great Again! FINALLY. I can't wait til' she's 100% again. Damnit, sorry to hear about the rough luck with yours but Hell Yeah for finding another new motor, and Best Of Luck getting em' swapped and back in action. **Sending positive vibes!

I have an older xt200 and they used 122....but it's the older style yamaha had

What year tw200 and which carb do you know. I need one that works good for 95

I got the PE 17 NIBBI carburetor, they are excellent carburetors and very forgiving with tuning.
Always great information on the TW200, your channel is one of many that inspired me to post my first TW video.
I’m on the edge of a purchase. Appreciate the videos!
I also grabbed an amazon carb for my tw. it was legit plug and play. love the vids.
Awesome Video. you got it dialed in pretty close. A+
Thanks for posting, will try this mod on my TeeDub. Whenever I hit WOT now I hear this voice in my head saying "Im givin' her the beans!" 😎
Still on my original carbs. Wondering how this Nibbi will work out long term. Great Vid Double D!
I got the nibbi28mmflange on my chonda 230.... Made a huge difference... Switching from pz30!!!
Did this swap this weekend went with 130 main jet and 40 pilot in florida runs great may be a bit rich but better than lean
Dude that carb looks sick💪🏼

I turned if out a 1/4 turn
Thank you bud. Just got the pe28 going to install today , soooo 115 and what was the other jet size you used? Tia
Where is the link for the throttle housing and cable??
Does that cable/grip linked have the same grip rotation as the stock throttle?
Yes
@dualdorks thanks. Have the Nibbi coming tonight. Replacing a China carb that won't pull choke after a week of sitting, and has erratic idle.
Put about 4oz of mystery oil with gas next time ya fill tank check fuel filter & put a new spark plug maybe an e3 plug
*NEVER FIX WHAT AIN'T BROKE!*
The previous one was messed up lol

I still have it. Just wanted to try out other things.

...very nice carb.... Id like a 200TW for mountain ride
OTYKEN genesis (listen with subtitle)
What gas tank are you using?
Clark 2.7 gallon tank
Too bad they don't make a Lectron that'll hook up
Agreed.
Why would you ditch the stock carb? You can always rejet.
Fun to tinker sometimes
I'd buy original.
Yamaha has a few secrets they don't share.
What gasoline do you run, we have the worst luck with our garbage California gas gumming up our carbs..
91 usually but TW would run on the contents of Charlie Sheen's liver.
Coolbeans lol
