I grew up in bishop and have rode so many of those trails. My grandpa that lived in chalfant knew every road, single track in that valley.

That's sick! Thanks for taking us along! I'm a long-time KLR650 rider and I'm finally going to swap mine out for a KLX300. I need the lighter weight setup. I used to go on long road trips with it. Now, things have changed and I'm going to be throwing the bike in the truck and then riding out from locations like that. I used to ride 1,000 miles to my destination and then ride out. I just can't do that anymore. The big KLR sacrifices too much agility off-road. I'd rather truck the bike across the country and then ride and have more fun. Either way, I've enjoyed your videos of the KLX. I haven' t watched your channel in awhile. I'm back though. I left a few months after you first got the KLX300. That hyped me up to get one, but I haven't yet. I'm going to soon though!

I'd buy original. Yamaha has a few secrets they don't share.

Can never sell that Museum piece. Bart installed a 225 on his Dub from the Central Valley. He met me with his old motor at the Pilot near Temecula in a Corvette. Then the motor went to Ridgecrest, then San Diego, Vegas back to Ridgecrest then Bridgeport. Happy Birthday! Haha Thats why the stator cover...from an XT?

Man, I need to get back there someday. I only scratch a minuscule of what you’ve done. FYI.. Mt Whitney is something like the 11th highest peak in the U.S. The tallest in the lower 48 I believe, the rest being in Alaska. I’ve been on the slopes of 5 of them in Alaska.

I've got a KLX300 and I'm working on building up some skills since I'm a bit of a newb. I live in a different desert than Moab, the San Rafael. If you like the less tourist oriented places, there are plenty of long trails out this way, though just like with Moab, the BLM is screwing with closing roads. Honestly you SHOULD move out here. Only a few thousand people actually live in the redrock country and too few of those take advantage of the endless adventure potential.

Loved it DD. You are so lucky to have an area like this to ride. I will someday ride in Cali and then leave town asap when finished😅😅. It looks a whole lot better than up here in the PNW where the forests are really thick. Have a good day dude!!

Awesome video!! Consider it a blessing to be where you are and being able to ride and see such beautiful country. I appreciate all that you do and places you go. I have wanted to ride and explore the west ever since i was a little kid. I hope to make it there someday. Until then i will keep watching your videos.
