This is my favorite way to eat-my mom is a chef and cooked the most amazing things when I was growing up. Simple, colorful, local food in-season. So delicious. As an adult, I’ve lost touch with that. She makes cooking look easy! Although I can make a mean salad (not basic), I have fallen into some boring ruts over the years. Thank you for making me want to cook delicious food again! I’m experimenting and trying to find my own style.

These meals look divine!! I absolutely love sardines; my dad introduced them to me at a young age. It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t turn their nose up when you talk about them. Wild Planet makes a delicious smoked variety w/lemon and olive oil. They are to die for. I usually can eat those w/a salad and a lemon dijon vinaigrette or top them with hot sauce, dijon mustard and eat them straight from the can w/crackers.

Also, I got a special place in my heart for people who use plantains ^^ Where I live almost no one knowes them and finding them is a pain. I found them by accidant and totaly fell in love so it gives me joy when ever I find someone who uses them too.

I LOVE IT ALL TISH! Do you use sockeye salmon? it looks so deep red. And Those chicken thighs and coconut dip look amazing!!! You can see that the food you eat keeps you nourished and health!
I agree I am also not a huge fan of this line of "Hunter & Gather" mayo's, I bought a triple pack from Amazon "Garlic, Chipotle/Lime & basic mayo" as an alternative to your standard soybean or vegetable/canola oil mayo's but the taste to me wasn't that great at all. I'm yet to find a mayo substitute that I can truly say is great, being that mayo is one of my fav condiments & a staple must-have in the pantry/fridge... Any recommendations on a good avocado, olive, or some kind of nut oil-based mayo? As always though loving your recipes & will no doubt be trying them in my own kitchen. Keep up the good work Tish. I'm yet to find one. The garlic one I think for me is the best. I've only tried it mixed with sardines so not sure what its like for other dishes. You might have to make your own!! Thanks for watching

To be fair it's been a minute since I made my own mayo, mainly due to the convenience of shop-bought but what with my ever-evolving palate not to mention changing dietary choices, I would probably be better off doing just that. Rancid oils i.e. seed oils - canola, rapeseed, soy bean etc... I try to steer clear of these inflammatory oils
