thanks for the great review. I bought this same one a few years ago but never knew how the switches worked until watching your video. The information is much appreciated! I'll click the subscribe button. :)
I am very glad that I bought that mic. It's great. I find it's better when it's close to the sound your are recording, usually voice. Compared to mics at 300 pounds, it's almost as good and very very acceptable. So the choice is to either spend 300 pounds to buy 1 fancy shmancy mic or spend 120 pounds on 2 comica mics with 180 pounds left over for a budget lens or a couple of lights or other accessories. I really am perfectly happy with the comica mic and considering getting another one as a spare in case or to use at the same time for an interview to record yourself asking the questions. A few elastic bands might be useful to keep the fur away from the lens. I use a canon m50 with a Smallrig cage, which has a cold shoe that keeps the mic in a perfect position. I wish I could justify buying the camcorder that you have. One day, hopefully. Would you recommend a camcorder as opposed to a high end mirrorless camera? Can you take a photo while recording video using your camcorder? I definitely like mirrorless and will soon buy a Viltrox speed booster adapter for DSLR lenses. You can probably tell that I am not an expert. The last time I used a DSLR before 2 years ago, excluding my iPhone, was a canon AE-1, a film DSLR. Thanks for making the good video.
Not a problem until the hotshoe breaks and it does break. The cure is an adapter sold at B&H for $5. Mine fell apart in my hand. The mic is great but the hotshoe sucks.

I trimmed my dead cat down quite a bit because of the same problem with it showing up in the shot. LOL
Thanks for review!!
Wait what is that you added to your mic to get the fur out of the way. Good video too
