What an amazing LMS Engine! It looks exactly like Arthur!

Its certainly a lovely looking loco, if it perfomed aswell as it looked it would be the perfect model, thanks for watching. Tom

Cheers Pete I've left it upto him if he wants to keep it or not, i certainly wouldn't pay the money for this model unfortunately

Yeh unfortunately this is an older tooled loco. Tony Wright from B.R.M. trialled it on his own layout Little Bytham and it wouldn't stop derailing in forward gear .

Thanks for the info, it didn't seem to bad but got progressively worse for stalling on the track unfortunately

Good review - of all the big 4 collection this the lamest choice by Hornby and most ancient model - I think it was the cheapest too as even they didnt have the heartto charge 200 plus. Cheers Shaun

Cheers Shaun, yes it's very poor quality even at 150.00 it's over priced for what it is, I certainly couldn't recommend one, thanks for watching. Tom

I'm not keen on this tank engine. However, talking of tank engines, I've managed to buy an N Gauge GWR Large Prairie Tank Engine for £60. I've given up offering less for the Raveningham Hall tender engine, the seller isn't responding. That engine is £70 to buy, and I'm not prepared to pay that amount. £60 is more doable, so I'll have the Large Prairie Tank Engine instead.

Am sure you'll be happy with the prairie I have an old graham farish one but it needs a replacement gear before I can run it again

@@northwesttrainsmodels The engine I've bought is of Graham Farish status like yours. I've read the description and it says the engine runs very well.

Yea, the hornby 4p doesn't seem to be the best as I have similar problems with it!

I haven't herd much positive about Hornby for a while apart from the tt range which seems to be doing well

@northwesttrainsmodels well, my latest hornby model, A hornby class 153377 scotrail seems very good! With working lights front and rear if I remember correctly! The side decals are a bit pixelated, but overall, good runner! And I got that for a good price too!

@jimmystransportmarvels8815 I used to have a 153 and that was a good runner, the last loco I got was a pullman hst and that was pretty good
