3:56 thats why I am really wanting to get the IQ 252Bridge saw. That way the entire tile is supported and you don't get stuff like this that happens. If that was an outside corner or somewhere exposed, the whole tile is basically garbage now or will have to be reused for an off-cut somewhere else. Plus the IQ 252 is made to cut VERY Large tile. i think it can handle a 5 foot rip
Do you back butter the tile as well with a 1/2 in trowel or just back butter without the 1/2.
And tiles like that i use suction cups makes life easier

That's already a thing. Look up porcelain slabs. 5 ft x 10 ft x 1/4 in thick. I'm actually installing a project like this right now, And I hope it does not become the norm

Another awesome job.. quick question... Im using the spectralock 1 grout and need to seal my mosaics. What's your recommendation? The Laticrete Stonetech Bullet Proof isn't so readily available and I see you recommending the 511 Impregnator. IDK. Would you seal the mosaic before or after grouting also?

We usually use 511 Impregnator and grout after installation. Tile on!
In a shower, 4 ft by 2ft and like 32 in squares are about as big as it gets for me. Once you start getting to the gauged porcelain that is 4 ft by 8 ft, that's too big, and it's also really expensive to order waste for.

Not to mention those gauge porcelain slabs are like $700 a piece 💀.
Not to mention the really expensive and hard to find systems needed to install them without bending them (Yes, bending them. It flexes like sheetrock)

We never charge per square foot. Many details go into our quotes for shower and bathroom remodels. Each quote is always different!

It doesn’t. But if you add a half inch board where the fence would meet the tile, you can raise it above the fence just need a sturdy hand and a line drawn out all the way across the top cut in this case. Dewalt 36000

Totally agree. I keep jacking up my subway installs and they keep using them. Just dam butt ugly in my opinion except in kitchen splashes
@BZ1340 there needs to be some woman on UA-cam saying how the new trend is to use all grout instead of tile or 1" grout lines and I guarantee these housewives would do it

Was talking about this today..seems like all year I've just been slapping in all kinds of subway. It's so boring and mehhh. Hate subway, should charge $15 sqft on walls for it since it takes forever 😂
