Fantastic information and very helpful! I have an old Tefal Original Actifry a friend gave me - which I love. But would like to get a newer air fryer with temperature control and I love the shape of the Cosori basket along with the fact that if there is excess fat it will drip through the holes in the non-stick basket. you are totally right with your cleaning suggestion, which I am using for most of my life: take food out of the hot pan/pot/airfryer. If there is a bit oil/grease in it, wipe it out with a paper towel. Then fill a little bit HOT water in it, plus a drop of dish soap, let sit. After you are done with eating, you are able to clean your cooking vessel/airfryer basket and the bowl effortlessly and within a minute. Works even with cast iron, still stays non-stick.

I enjoy your videos, the way you cut to the chase and have two of your books - thanks! I would like, when you're doing your reviews, if you'd also add how easy the item is to clean in the sink. Not everyone has a dishwasher. And even if I did, as a one person household, I likely wouldn't use it often.

When I was about to buy an air fryer, my husband watched some youtube video and told me we already have an air fryer (our Oster convection oven). Do the new oven style air fryers have the fan on the top? Oh, and one more question: if i don't want non-stick coating, what air fryers are available with say, stainless steel baskets and racks? The problem I have with airfryers tends to be around the nonstick pan. No matter how gentle I am, the nonstick always peels off quite quickly. You can't soak them because they peel and you can't scrub. So the only thing I've come up with is to wipe as soon as its come out before it dries and that's blinkin hot. Any brand that you think stands up to washing with a soft sided sponge? I have seen a difference between brands.
I have watched several of your air fryer videos and they have the best information of any reviews. Now my question, these videos are 3 years old and newer models have come out. Do you have an update to these models? Your multiple videos highlight several brands but which is the best of the best in your opinion if you are looking for a 2.6-3 qt fryer? I'm buying for my daughter-in-law who asked for one for Christmas and I may also buy one for me after watching this!! I want to make the best choice as she is an excellent cook and I think she may bypass her professional oven after she uses an air fryer.

Both have 60 keto recipes each and many more that can be made keto by not using bread for a side dish or using keto sweeteners instead

I purchased a 3.5ltr from K Mart. I'm very happy with simplicity of this machine & it does everything I need it to do But I'm now finding I need a bigger machine to cook for extra people.

I wanted an air fryer and quickly jumped to ordering one I got the instant vortex plus air fryer toaster oven combo but haven't seen many reviews about it. And now am regretting my decision since I am easily influenced by comments and I've read a few bad ones about it so it is still in its box and I am planning on returning it and purchasing the cosori air fryer instead.

I have a question. I used the air fryer with a plastic cover pot but often I overcooked or burned and wasted the food because I couldn't see the inside. So, I was thinking of buying the one (Kitchen Aid) with a glass door (standing oven with air fryer function), but after hearing your experience of the problem of washing the inside, I am thinking twice about it. Do you have any recommendations of an air fryer type or its use to prevent such burning the food inside?

Have you heard anything about the Ultima Cosa 5L air fryer? It's sold in a lot of places and is on sale at the moment but I can't find ANY reviews on it aside from the ones on the official website which makes me a bit nervous but the outside of it is beautiful.

Did you have any issue with a bad smell from the Instant Vortex? I just ordered one and saw a few reviews that said this. (2 months later -see comments. I answered this question).
To answer own question: absolutely no odor issue. I have no idea what these people were talking about. My husband and I are both extremely sensitive to smells but no issues with the Vortex as was indicated. Have been using it for a couple of months now and Love it!!

Was wondering what your thoughts might be on a unit for a college girl without much cooking experience. It would be for her room though she does have access to a sink in her apartment (no dish washer). Probably would be best if it wasn't super loud if that is possible. Most of the time it would be for cooking for herself while she is studying and wouldn't need to be large unless it turns out that a particular larger one would be a better/easier cooker to use. Also can your cookbooks be used by someone with little cooking experience. Lastly, I did look for a link for the smaller White fryer that is on the counter behind you but did not find one. Thank you so much for all your work on these cookers. With all that comes with attending college away from home I would love to be able to help her keep meal prep as fun and low stress as possible.
So I bought my college bound son a small dash air fryer. It took up very little space and I felt was the right size for him. It was also blue/teal which I felt he’d notice if he forgot and left it around vs a black one lol! He used it for quite a lot of things. And yes those cookbooks are for people who don’t know how to cook much. Only “techniques” needed are cut, stir, marinade, cook. They do require some spices thought. I suspect she will most likely make chicken nuggets, french fries, pizza and egg rolls from the frozen section haha! But it’s still nice to have
