I own or have owned guns from Sig, S&W, Colt, Springfield, Ruger, RIA, Tanfoglio, Beretta, H&K, Raven, Bersa, AMT and ThompsonCenter, but my EDC for four years was a Taurus TH40c. It never failed, and was only relegated to nightstand duty because I wanted to go to 10mm.
I've always heard good things about the TX-22. And I remember what a shake up Taurus made when they introduced it. And still one of the best standard level .22 around. Great mention, Spn!
The stainless steel slide is really nice for anyone who has that option available. I had to pay a little more for it but it was worth it and it looks great.
Hey, SPN…when are we going to see a Taurus PCC? I ask you because of your intimate ties to the firearms industry. I’m thinking compatibility with the G3 mags. Keep up the good work.
Call me an oddity but I really do like my spectrum. Sure the trigger and sights leave a lot to be desire, but the size and ergos are good. I find it’s pretty light recoiling for such a small gun. It might look a little bit on the spectrum but that’s ok with me😂
I never shot one... but that's because I never had the interest in getting one. I don't know why, but I just like the SAO target guns like the Ruger Standards (MKI - MKIV), Browning Buckmark, Beretta Neos and all those... and also the smaller self defense .22's... but I always thought these would have a crappy trigger for a target gun, is too bug for a target gun and just don't serve any purpose as a self defense weapon (except maybe a home defense weapon if you don't own anything else). I never actually pulled the trigger on one though. I just assumed by the look or the trigger and the fact that it's striker fired. I know there are SAO-like striker fired guns... but I think they all have a different kind of trigger. As far as I know, the TX-22 has a trigger that's very similar to the G2C-G3C models which are not comparable to the majority of .22 target pistols. If there's one thing I can say though, it's one of the best rated .22 lr handguns for plinking that I think I've ever heard about. Every person that I know that owns one considers it one of their favorite guns, especially their favorite guns to shoot at the range. I'd love to see people that own them and also own other target .22's compare them all.
I gwt there more of a "budget" company.....I'm a huge springfield fan....I own xds 3.3 as my everyday carry along with one in thw sidearm then of course 4 magazines with double double single Stack on thw back of my belt and u can't see anything...then of course I have the xdm 4.5 I got the case kit with 4 mags holster mag holster then I got the speed loader and of course the lock.....then ya know I also have the tp9 canik.....and of course I sold all of "pos" glocks......and I picked up a hellcat pro,and then a mossberg mc2c 9mm,and mossberg shock wave.thats just some of my most recently picked up stuff but aftwr the accuracy on the springfield I fired I was like nope...done with glock.now budget brands like this I have a hate n love kinda thing cause I have a hipoint 40 that's ugly as all he'll and holds next to nothing but it's reliable and I'd put it up against any Taurus
Loved my Taurus GX4 until the recall and poor customer service from Taurus. The GX4 feels great, always goes bang... but I just can't trust myself to carry it. Agreed on the TX22, my first Taurus!
Why not? I ran multiple boxes of multiple brands of 9mm and a box of hollow points and I've never had a failure. My son and daughters have shot it and no malfunctions. I had my doubts too but it performs every time. You trust sig or something?
@@bnolsen As stated, the recall and unknown "fix" that was done, paying my own s&h for the recall and poor customer service. Never owned a Sig in my life 👍🏻
I understand the high point but Taurus has been good, I have the G3 and love it but I’m a Glock guy and CZ you got to test the waters I’m looking to get that TX for the range cheaper too run and practice with 🫡

Without watching, I'm betting it's the TX22. Everybody loved them!
Taurus is Hyundai/Kia now. Finally stepped up their game & producing some pretty solid products
I just picked up a gx4 carry for the extra pinky space and I like the Picatinny rail for sub 400. Love the trigger feel for sure
Hell yeah!!
Hey SPN would u rather take the GX4 or G3C for EDC?

I think it’ll happen by the end of the year and the release will come with larger mags compatible with the g3c. Like 24+
Ive always had good luck with Taurus, ive owned revolvers and semiautomatic. The new TS9 is similar to the TX22 just in 9mm.

I'm surprised you never acquired the TH9C
The slide on the tx22 is anodized aluminum. It's not the same as the GX4.

What is the price for that one
Try a TH series gun. fantastic da/sa hammer fired guns at a great price.
The Judge! Love it! Great home defense gun and my wife can handle it well. ❤
I have the same gun.....its awesome.
G2c was my first 🔫 . Just bought a G3c.
Great video!
The title is misleading. You are speaking of the *BEST* Taurus handgun and not even mentioning their revolvers?!
Revolvers have been outdated for 50 years. Welcome to the future.
Taurus Spectrum is the best obviously 😎
I asked you what model # ADE you have on your Mossberg mc2sc. Still waiting…
Should compare that GX4 to the CZ P-10M... Wish the GX4 had extended mags like the Glock 26 😐
You can get 15 round mags for gx4 and they maybe add a two extra round base plate maybe?
@@brianburton8351 The 15 looks good, but still better off getting a G3C. 17 or 33 rounds would be a game changer for them.. Pro mag drums are a waste
No its the gx4 carry but oh miles ..

@bnolsen, you were just given reasons. Secondly, where does Sig come into the chat. Sheesh!
Gx4 = G26 slim plus..lol
I'm sure they are fine. I just can't get past the brand. Just like High Point and Kel-Tec. Yes, call me a snob. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
I don’t knock Taurus because I’ve tried it
@@dezrtrat702 have wanted a long barrel mag revolver in chrome or stainless. Taurus much cheaper.
Are one of those.. if it don't say Colt,Smith & Wesson or Glock it's junk kinda buyer?
