  • The Rapid is a pretty solid speed pad, especially for the price. It is not to my personal preferences, but if you like smooth speed surfaces, it's hard not to recommend this pad.
    Ty to Coldclutch for sending this out.
    I might tweet sometimes, give me a follow :) KraftyCraftKraf

    also noticed that smaller movements were really difficult on this pad, thats why i played games like apex where its more track heavy. awesome video as always man, give amazing information 👊👊

    Hey first off thank you for covering all this stuff! It's really helping me understand pads better. I have a question! Do you have a recommendation for best mousepad for games like Apex? I used to main the Zero for it, but I switched to the Hayate Otsu since I read it was better, if you agree, would you say soft or xsoft is better? thank you again!

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      Most people like faster pads for easier feeling tracking in games like apex, that why you got recommended the Otsu, but I think control pads are still super viable for apex style aim and the thing that's most important for me is that the surface doesn't feel muddy and have a lot of static friction. The best pad for any game isn't going to be universal and personal preference is by far going to be the most important factor. I still think there are some game-pad matchups that aren't very good, like sticky control pads in apex or smooth speed pads in tac shooters, but once you go outside of these categories, there is a multitude of pads and surface types that could be perfect for you and personal preference becomes king. I think X pad is the best for Y game is silly, and B category of pad is not as optimal for C type of game is how you should think instead. As far as Otsu sponge choice, I really like xsoft. It feels really nice with the tightly woven surface and makes the pad super comfortable. You can also push into the surface pretty well to get some extra stopping power.

    Hey KraftyCraft! Thanks for all the great reviews. Which mousepad(s) that you have tried have the best arm feel? I have the Qinsui 2 Pro and it is very fluffy and smooth. I wanna try more pads like this. GPZ1, Eclipse, GSR, PA and ColdClutch Rapid are some of the pads that I have heard described this way that I have yet to try myself.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      If you like fluffy feeling cloth surfaces, I think the Eclipse and GPZ1 are going to be your best options. The GPZ1 is the softest pad I've ever used but it's actually a little bit too soft for me. Its surface has this slightly fuzzy, microfiber-esque feel to it that's slightly off-putting to me personally, but if you like fluffy feeling surfaces it's probably your best option. The Eclipse, on the other hand, is the perfect comfort spot for me. The surface has more of a typical cloth pad feel but it's super smooth and the surface is very soft to the touch. It doesn't quite have a fluffy feel to it but I really enjoy how it feels. The other pads you listed are good options as well, but the Rapid might not be what you're looking for. The synthetic silk feels more like plastic than cloth so the surface is smooth but not soft to the touch like a fuzzy cloth textile. The Radar is a good final shoutout as well. It's not as smooth and soft as the eclipse but its still super comfortable and I like how it feels.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf Nice, thanks a lot for the comprehensive rundown! Those pads are definitely on my radar now. The Eclipse sounds very interesting to me, but I am worried about the "bumpy feeling" some people are describing when making larger swipes. Perhaps it is a QC issue of some sort. Still, the Eclipse and GPZ1 are both on my watchlist now.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      I think the bumpy feeing comes from how it’s rolled in its packaging. I talked in my review about how the pad came out of the box a little wavy and didn’t quite lay flat due to it creasing slightly in the box because of how floppy the pad is. I didn’t notice any bumpiness after a couple of days, but maybe some peoples pads got more creased than mine and the surface ended up inconsistent even after letting it lay flat.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      Ty! I might talk about it sometime. It's a pretty good surface that preforms well, but I just don't like how codura surfaces feel and I've never been able to get used to them. Maybe I'll make something talking about what I think of the codura feel and how it holds back an otherwise great pad for me.

    • @Divinity_vA
      @Divinity_vA 2 роки тому

      @Kice Dzingov I relate. Am not a fan of most cordura pads since they feel very plasticy but MPC and 510 just hit different. The rest, as i said tend to feel plastic and...sticky. Sure, they're almost as fast as MPC but man, there is nothing worse than a mousepad that feels sticky during Aimlabs session.

    I lowkey start to feel delusional. This is the 4th review on the Coldclutch i watch and that shiny surface looks like Glorious Ice so much. But it does sound quite slow-ish compared to it.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf I actually ordered this mouse, wanted to try something with bit more support than my currently g pro wireless. Does the back feel like a xm1r? I really like the xm1r just wanted something wireless even though it had a amazing cable...

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      @@abbyabz6940 Yeah the hump actually feels a lot like the xm1. It has the same diamond shape and is similarly sized, by with wider flares on the outside edges. An xm1 and burst hybrid would be the best way to describe the hump. The KPA should feel good if you want a more supportive gpx, just be aware that it’ll feel a bit larger so it might be clunky for you if the GPX is already a little big for your tastes.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf you were right about the similar feel, so far I am enjoying the mouse but I think I preferred the xm1r I don't like these clicks.. I returned the xm1r as I didn't like the glossy coating. I might just buy it white or try the ninjisto origin one X ..so many mouses out their !
