Bought a Tragia Triangle, a 27 Kettle and a multi pot stand at the second sorting shop at the Trangia Factory. Ofc i had to test the triangle with the new kettle, I'm surprised how fast two cups come to boil. In the end if the video there are some clips from the factory. The had some prototypes on the table so the video taking went short. Nice buys however to good prices. I have a lot of Trangia stuff but was missing these items. Tanks to Malin at Trangia that walked me thru the goodies at the second sorting, as always I regret that I didn't bought more stuff but this gives me a reason to revisit. :D
I have a Trangia 27 and I like it for some trips. For longer distance hiking you should check out the Caldera Cone by Trail Designs. Think of a thin aluminum or titanium sheet that you roll into a cone shape to fit your pot. A lighter alcohol burner's heat is captured in the cone and the pot sits down in it. A Englishman made some-he called his Stormin Norman but unfortunately he passed away. There are webpages devoted to making similar cones out of sheet aluminum flashing very cheaply if you like experimenting. I whole heartedly recommend trying it out. The whole setup weights about 5 ounces and packs in my Trangia 27 pot. I had a lid that fit the pot from another pot set. If you are just boiling water for dehydrated meals it's hard to beat. It saved the day on my last early spring trip with below freezing temperatures when my canister stove refused to work. I'm getting old so lighter kit is better. Enjoyed the scenery.
Thank you for this video. Among other things, I was looking to see whether the 27 Kettle would fit on the Triangle stand and I'm pleased to see that it does. All the best.
Northern Michigan here. Cool Video, but did you catch a fish? I live on Grand Lake in Presque Isle County near Lake Huron and drive my Trike all over making coffee on the shores of Lake Huron. Have a wonderful summer! Good fishing here, large mouth bass and Walleye are my favorite. Well the pike are fun also.
Thanks for Your comment Mary! Yes i got a flatfish on the bait, (Plaice). Very tasty to eat. I also like Pike-fishing, "the crocodile of feshwater lakes". Trikes are cool, Lake Huron must take some time to ride around?
That Trangia triangle looks very handy and easy to cary with you on a day trip. What kind of fuel is preferred to use with the Trangia burner, T-red or kemetyl telen?
Hi, they are actually listed at Trangia's webbshop. Not in stock but it say that they will start production in this year (2022) at their site. See link: trangia.se/en/shop/trangia-triangle/
Good video, I've used a few myself never seen that particular set up. I'm not a missive fan of things I have to put together tho. Did it feel robust or like something that would actually get damaged?
Thanks! The Trangia Triangle is robust and feels robust. However only reason to go with this one over a Trangia 27 or 25 is pack volume and weight. To me this is a great complement to a real "Storm Stove". I really like it though and made a mod resently to fit the X2 Multifuel burner.
Thanks! The pot stand fits to the Trangia 27 and 25. Not mentioned for the Triangle but ofc it's possible to lay it on top. I have an other video where I use the pot stand in a 25.
bjarne martens Yes Bjarne, the factory and outlet is in the village Trångsviken. Malin Bergman works there and are great to speak with at customer support and the outlet is on a bench right outside her office. Hey also let me into their managemant and customer meeting room to see some cool stuff under development. Just had to stuck it away from camera. Also a visit in the factory floor. All is small and compact. No extravaganza. Trangia have had a great year 2019 and invested in new machines and workers are now working shift inread. Very nice stop on the way to Trondheim and Norway or north along the road 45 to Vildmarksvägen and polecircle.
Hi Mattias, great video. I have a quick query, maybe you could help. First time I used the 27 kettle with the 27 system paired with the gas burner to boil water the plastic handle of the kettle melted!! Did I do anything wrong? Or is this normal? Thanks from UK
Hey, Trangia has redesigned the plastic part due to this. At my first kettle to my 25, it was like a heat shrinked plastic tube on the handle. Ar my newer 27 it is a plastic part that can be removed. I think that the newer plastic part should be removed when cooking over flames. However, I've never done that and the plastcs still holds up. Even over open fire. 14 days ago me at a friend used both of our 27 kettles over open fire. His melted but not mine, both new version. I you mail Trangia i'm sure they can send you a new plastic part. Maybe some of the batches of plastic part are less heat tolerant?
It depends if you sometimes want to go more lightweight or extend the cook system. I could really recommend it. It packs small and have low weight. But I also like the Trangia Mini T28. That stove should be more for the bucks. The burner is included in that kit. Only thing is sift You only bring the burner and small pot stand, the mini pot stand does not pack flat as the Triangle.
This is overkill but for kokkaffe the best recipie is 1000grams of water and 70 grams of Coffee. Measure the water and boil it. Take it off the heat and wait 3-4 minutes, the water schould be at 92° Celsius. Pour in the coffe and stir Wait 5 minutes. Pour out slowly and enjoy
Hi, how small pot? What diameter are you thinking of? The triangle fits all Trangia pots. Or are you thinking of standing a cup upon it? That could work with laying tent pegs on top i think.
Neeman Callender They have a „wire“ triangle for the storm cooker set. Perhaps that would fit on this triangle too. I use that with a Bialetti coffee maker.
@@mrcvry that's possible! I even think that it's possible to put the alcohol burner on ground instead of in the support ring in centre and put that ring on top instead of supporting the mid and suspend the triangle. Could work that way. I need to test ☝️😁
Hehe, you haven`t learned how to "brygge" coffe` in Norwegian style. First you boil up the water, then take the kettle of the stove and pour coffe in the pot, stir a little and wait 5-6 mins until it has sinked to the bottom. To let it sink faster and all way to bottom you can after 5 minutes pour cold water over the kettle lock and on the sides of kettle. Enjoy :-)
@@Braapncamp Don`t do a Turki with Norwegian coffe! Hahaha.. Norwegian style= clean shiny black coffe to drink, Turkish way= A really brown mesh..Teeth filled with coffe mash... :-) Haha...
Your are right, personally I don't like tea out of bags though. I have never tasted "real" tea. But as a youth we often did tea/hot drink with spruce or pine needles. That is actually common to see in videos though since bushcrafters seemed to like or show that they like that old trick 😁😜. Cheers mate and thanks for watching!
Hi, I just got an email from Trangia infomr9ing that their Triangle stove is not available for sale in the US. What are the odds I can talk you into sending me one. Of course I willl pay you for your trouble.

Jonas Amnå Best fuel available on shelf in Sweden is Tenol. Etanol with up to 5-10% metanol in it. T-röd works great as well but soot the pans.
Thanks , you answered some questions I had👍
Thanks again Adam, for You r comment, much appreciated and happy if this could help You.

@@Braapncamp it makes a nice stand for a 2nd burner to go along with a 25 or 27 set. Perfect 2 stove set up that way
Jay Kae I agree! I tvink many use the Triangle for that purpose along with it's pocket size single stove function.
I think the firebox nano in titanium makes an excellent stand for a Trangia spirit burner, And gives one the ability to burn wood and esbit tabs.
Good information..good video..cheers from Canada

It is great that you can combine the system in so many different ways and you even modify it to find more. 👍🏻
Sit the metholated spirits ring on the verry top of the triangle and sit the spirit burner on the bace and you can fit a smaller pot or cup ontop 😉👍
