I actually just upgraded my RX6600 to an RX6750XT yesterday and tomorrow I will give the rx6600 to a friend of mine who is currently using a 1060 6gb
I wouldve said thats too small of an upgrade but since you aren’t wasting the old one that is pretty good
The 10 series will soon start showing signs of aging ( weird driver behaviour/ support end )... The 6600 wont be having this problem for a long time... Plus an upgrade is an upgrade @@AquaticEmpireYT

@@alunaticwithashotgun9840 Usually people do not upgrade in the same generation. Upgrading to the next generation people consider to be generally wasteful. This is why the negative reaction. However, if it works for you, great. Have fun with your considerably beefer GPU! At this point, you probably got it at a discount too.

Really hope AMD either leaves the RX 6600 as an option for a little while longer, or releases a successor... an RX 7500 xt with RX 6600 level performance at a lower price would be a nice go-to entry level GPU.
That sounds really smart and a great way to cut into Nvidia's market-share in the entry level market, which is why they won't do it LMAO

@@zbishop90 but they are expensive just for the APU alone lol. for the price of the fastest APU you can get something like 3600 + RX6600.
AMD already said the cheapest RDNA 3 will be $260 RX 7600. in a way that is AMD way to tell us they did not want to sell anything cheaper than that. for AIB sub $300 market is already very brutal when it comes to profit margin.
At the rate their going the RX 5000 and 6000 will probably go end of life next year lol. It seems like they can't wait to EOL anymore. They probably don't want us running FSR on RX 580s and getting more life out of them lol

I'm on a RX6800XT until it shits the bed. 7900XT & XTX are still going for a month's rent in Canada.
Honestly, thr 6000 series is still amazing. I can play whatever I want at 1440p with my 6700xt and the 6600/6600xt is still my recommendation for budget build if it can be found under 200
I grabbed an RX 6950XT right around the time it dropped in price and even found an open-box unit for $525. My secondary PC is still running on an RTX 2070 Super, so i might start plotting out an upgrade path for that one for when the RX 8000 series launches

Just snagged my first independent GPU purchase - a well cared for XFX RX 580 (8gb). Sure as hell not the BEST GPU, but a good starting point for when I build my own. Or maybe Ill flip it. Who knows!
Rx 580 is still a decent budget option, can still play recent games on low-medium settings.

I got a 6800xt for 349 usd when the prices were great. I got it brand new, so that was great. I am so glad I waited after missing out on them when they launched. That refreshing was tiring. Always getting beat out by others even when I had one in my cart, was getting annoying.

I think the 7600 is probably just going to be around $250 and that will be the "low end" offering for the foreseeable future.
Not terrible I guess, since it's a little better than 6650xt and that was going for around $230 or so.
Considering the price of the 7600, the arc a750 will probably take the place as the budget king
Did my first build (in almost 20 years) in November 2023. Snagged a new XFX Merc 319 6800 XT in February 2024 and I'm so happy I did.

I was saving to buy a 5080. One of the parts blew out on my 6950xt and I got a free upgrade to 7900xtx because of this shortage. I am grateful, still gonna buy the 5080 so I can keep doing my 3D modeling.

I got back in to pc gaming/building early 2023 after about 15 years break. Since then, i've build 3 pc's that i curently have in use. 1. AM4 5700X with a rx6800XT Red Dragon, on a Rog Strix B550-F. 2. AM4 5800X (might upgrade this one to a 5800X3D) with a rx6950XT Red Devil, on a Rog Strix B550-F. 3. AM5 7800X3D with a rx7900XTX Red Devil, on a Rog Strix B650E-F. I do feel i have supported AMD with enough of my money the past year 😄And Asus and Corsair for that matter (all 3 have Corsair RM750/850x/e with corsair premium sleeved cable kits).

Picked up a 6750xt yesterday glad I grabbed it
Last 1 1/2 years ago got an RX6800 for primary PC for $$465. Last week got RX6750XT for my 2nd gaming PC for $329. Couldn’t find a RX7xxx series for that price/performance value.
Literally talked to a Microcenter manager yesterday. Has no one asked them? Its done as a deterrent, they dont want your 4090, its the best out right now and they have plenty in stock.
Good 6000 needed to go since it only made sense outside the U.S. in odd markets that have wild prices. IMO the 6950XT made sense until the price drops started with the 7000's and then around that point is when the 7900GRE launched in China and a few regions. The 7900 GRE at stock is the same performance as the 6950XT, then you can OC the GRE to get close to the 7900XT for only $550. Now the GRE is available worldwide so there is no reason to get the older cards unless they're cheaper than their replacements by 15-20% or more. Otherwise there's no point to get an older gen vs a newer gen at the same price simply on a support and longevity standpoint.

easy upgrade for my 6800xt.

I'm planning to upgrade from a 2060 Super to a 7800 XT in like Q3, so I do wonder if the prices are gonna drop more for it. But even if they did, I'd doubt it would be by much.

I have an Asrock Radeon RX 6900 XT OC Formula. It worked well until something went wrong with the VBIOS. After a successful RMA, I water cooled the new card, and it sits running with MPT tweaks. I doubt I will have such fun overclocking any future GPU. Right now, its rasterization performance sits just shy of the RTX 4070ti, so I should be good until RDNA5 comes out. Although, I will be very picky on the next GPU as I will gear towards one with a water block or a VBIOS with the limits opened up.
The 6800 has been the value king in the uk market imo given it can be had for £360 brand new, shame to see it gone

Honestly, i am surprised the Radeon 6000 series was produced as long as it was, what with various 7000 series cards being available for over a year now.
more like AMD over produce them during the mining craze back in 2020-2021 period.
There were like 5 rx 6900 xt were on new egg open box for $450 4 days ago and on Jawa there was a 6950 xt for $515
Got my Rx 6950xt March 2023 for $650 after being completely disappointed with the 3070 Ti. This was an amazing purchase and I foresee this card still being a good option at least until RDNA 5
If hadn't gotten a 7800xt I would probably have jumped for a 6800 or 6900xt. Rdna2 is gonna be remembered as one of ands best generations, just for the deals after the crypto crash
This is a huge win for the UK. Finally, they have a store that distributes, sells Apple apps without Apple getting directly involved. The final icing on the cake is they punched Nintendo in the stomach by having the word "Pal" in its name (Pal World game). Talk about hitting two birds with one stone.
I'm thinking about getting a 7800 xt for about $500. Mostly cuz getting a RTX 4000 series card might mean I'll need a new PSU and those 12V connectors that keep melting.
the issue is only on those 4090 that can use 500w+ in gaming. 4080 and below is fine.

I wanted a 7700xt pc. But sadly my 3.5 year old gaming laptop got burnt by a power surge. Charger, battery, hard drive and gpu all fked. So i have to get a new gaming laptop first since portability is also important. So at least a few more years till i build my pc
Based on what I have seen over the last few years, I would guess that there will be some very good sales on gaming laptops this June.
Because of the power curves being relatively flat, it appears to me that 4060/4070 laptops can be only 10% worse than their desktop equivalents.
I expect to be able to pick up a very good 4070 laptop at the end of the year for no more than $1250, and hopefully even less.

Since laptops are usually more expensive, i could only get a 4060 within my budget. And 4070 laptops in india are wayy too overpriced. Almost 2k$ by direct conversion. I got the loq with i5 13450hx+4060+qhd screen for about 1100 so seems like a good deal

In 2017, Apple dropped the iPhone X with Face ID, and I firmly believe that it’s the best method of biometric security on a mobile device.
In 2024, Apple basically broke their arm patting themselves on the back when they announced that USB-C would be on the iPhone 15 models, acted like they hadn’t been forced to do that by EU regulations, and is being sued by the US government for anti-trust laws. I don’t think people fully understand how big of a deal that is.
As an Apple user, I’m gonna make the change to Android with my next phone. Apple used to say they innovated because they actually made something cool or useful. Now, the innovations they wanna roll out are finding new and creative ways to siphon money from their customers.

Every business exists to make money so I don't think it's unreasonable for an individual to take a similar stance in a one-off scenario of a product selling or trade-in. Whoever is going to give me the most money for my thing is the winner. What happens beyond that is not much of my concern beyond straight-up anti-consumer practices.

Plus they probably have to consider the cost of proper port. There is no way pc gamer want just bare bone port without pc specific things optimization especially on graphic department.
@@arenzricodexd4409 considering the community, how bloodborne is the favoured title of most soulsborne players including the fact that except for bloodborne and demonsouls EVERY title came out on pc, all facts speak for sony being at fault, not fromsoft. we dont have an official statement, but everything points to it glaringly. It's not Fromsofts say what happens with Bloodborne. Sony is the official publisher and owner of the IP.
