this is brutal! I've been adding it into my strength/mobility routine post run. can't break the 3 barrier but its already helped with my form, cadence, and endurance in my running. thank you!!!!!!
Hey Brad this core workout has really helped my running 🏃♀️ form wow 👌 you are awesome and I love your sense of humor that goes with your training. Thank you 😊
Totally agree, Strengthening them is one thing and using them is another, you can have strong abs but you may not engage them when running. Today I run with my abs, I concentrated on my abs movement ( left, right, up, down) , I did not think of my upper or lower level movement at all. Your upper( Shoulders, Arms) and lower level( Hip and legs) movement are connected and synchronized through your abs, Abs initiate and synchronize the movement between upper and lower level of your body. When abs are engaged, your upper and lower level will follow. Your legs with come up more and your arms and shoulder rotate and have more movement compare to when your abs are not engaged and creating a resistance between upper and lower part. Kick boxing, the knee kick, to give more power, they use the core muscles to lift the knee, use the core muscles to lift up your legs when running!
Hey Brad! Awesome workout and definitely something I am going to add to my weekly training. I really like your positive attitude and growth mindset :-)
Love this … looks great and really beneficial (but tough!), my posture and technique go out the window at the end of my marathons so definitely going to build this into my training plan. Thank you!!!!
Thank you Brad! My Marathon next weekend, can’t wait! Added this weekly routine on top of my mileage plan and it has definitely helped me! Feeling 💪💪💪🚀… really excited for race day now.
Second time this week, todays was after 20 min workout, started failing around round 3 today but managed to kick myself back up for the last round to finish strong 💪
Great video! My shoulders hurt more than my core towards the end. Not sure if this is because I have weak shoulders or I wasn't activating my core enough.
I’m a bit late haha but what if I don’t feel much at my core how should I make it so that my core feels it and how should I be doing the side planks and exercises there
Adding this to my routine! I could only do two rounds before my shoulders gave out 😭 does it get easier or do you recommend doing shoulder workouts in addition?
I think its like a support exercise and doesn't make you run more far or fast directly. If you don't do support exercises you get injured and not know why and will just be angry and think you have bad luck.
I aGREE. I do core routine for chest abs back. But i do it more with weights than the only body weight stuff. I don't like only body weight stuff and yoga for mid section. One reason is I am a cutting-edge athlete and i do not need to build only endurance. Need some strength too. Lifting near max weight makes muscles stronger bigger and heavier. But a small amount of weight for a normal runner won't affect us in a negative way. This is more for elite runners i think. These are good though but I stopped back pain from easing into weights. I know there is more than 1 way to do it. I don't understand planks and some exercises like that honestly and why i would want to do them.
I think "rest" is also an exercise, rest periods in plank or workout also have advantages. Why doesn't your 10 minutes have a break of at least 10 seconds?

Ik that this vid was a while ago but how many times a week should I do this
Thank you, that was brutal! I realise how weak my shoulders are doing this

Awesome! Let us know how you get on with the 5km
@@EverFITcoach sure thing! And I'll compare the place i finish in and my time 🤙🏼
Do you do this daily? AND, do you recommend doing it pre or post run?
*Edit* my bad. You said 1 or 2 times per week.
Love the workout, thanks😁
Thanks for the feedback! Keep up the great work
I have sweated more in your workout than I have on my run. Kai pai! Love this workout.
Awesome! Keep striving
Great Stuff Mate !! I do those routines but include a rest so going to nonstop seems pretty intense
First time i complete all the workout without stopping! I could only hold for 3 rounds and break on the 4th. Lets go!
Awesome!!
One of the best core workout for me.
Thanks for the feedback
Awesome man ..
Love this routine… getting stronger each week💪
Doing this after a 20 minutes workout to build core strength. Hard work but getting better slowly
Second time this week, todays was after 20 min workout, started failing around round 3 today but managed to kick myself back up for the last round to finish strong 💪
Thank you 🙏🏽
Fantastic core workout!
THanks for following along!
Great workout! Tough. Some how made it through
Well done
Thank you, it definitely broke a sweat
Thanks for giving it a go
Cool. Look quite intensive to me.
It is! Give it a go
Perfect for xc. Thanks
Glad you think so!
AMAZING 10 Mins!!!! Wow, you barely broke a sweat 😅. I’m over here dying 🙃💪
Ha! I was struggling on the 5th set. It’s a great workout- I’ve worked up from 2 sets a few months ago
This is great! My shoulders gave me the most trouble. Maybe this is a form issue?
It could be weakness around the shoulder? Build up as able
Good ab workout.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video! My shoulders hurt more than my core towards the end. Not sure if this is because I have weak shoulders or I wasn't activating my core enough.
Any new loading can create some aggravation. Keep at it. The shoulder strength will improve.
Why does side planking hurt my elbows so much? Do I just need more cushioning?
Use a softer surface
Should i do these everyday or after my run? I'm still new to making my own routine so yeah, I'd be happy if someone reply with an answer✌️😁
Just start with 2 x a week
I’m a bit late haha but what if I don’t feel much at my core how should I make it so that my core feels it and how should I be doing the side planks and exercises there
Move elbows forward of shoulders on front plank and make sure you are straight and stacked for the side plank (you might be bent in middle)
@@TheRunExperience i noticed that during the side plank I don’t know where or how to position my feet
Killing as usual… my running is better .. ✊✊
Thanks for the feedback
Killer workout! Be comfortable to be uncomfortable
Getting comfortable with uncomfortable is the key to growth
Adding this to my routine! I could only do two rounds before my shoulders gave out 😭 does it get easier or do you recommend doing shoulder workouts in addition?
It does get easier as your shoulders condition. Adding push-ups to your routine will help the conditioning
@@TheRunExperience good idea - I’ll start adding push ups. Thank you for the info!
If you're re watching just for the excersise it starts at exactly 2 mins in
BRUTALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you! Bloody hell
Our pleasure! Hopefully you found it challenging
How often do you do this workout?
I started 1-2 x a week. Now a do variations of it 1-3 x a week.
How are you supposed to plank for 10 minutes straight im hurting after 60 seconds
This helps you run far?
Absolutely! Without full body strength you lose efficiency and your endurance ability suffers.
@@EverFITcoach thanks for the information!
I think its like a support exercise and doesn't make you run more far or fast directly. If you don't do support exercises you get injured and not know why and will just be angry and think you have bad luck.

I couldn't do it In a raw. I had to stop 1 min btw each set.
Start within capacity and build up. Well done
Shattered ♥️😅
Glad you enjoyed it!!
F**k me that was intense, love it 😍!
Thanks for the feedback
My shoulders get tired way before my core!
I could only do two rounds. Now commenting here before doing two more. And then one last 😂
Good work!
@@TheRunExperience Thanks! Nine days and three attempts later, I can do all five sets without stopping! Can’t believe hahaha
I think I got more of a shoulder workout 😂
It’s a full body blast that uncovers your weaknesses
2:30
Keep it up!
My arms/shoulders hurt before my abs 😭
Me too! I’ve got better thou. Have a great weekend & thanks for commenting
Dude I can do it for 20 sec not 10 min
Start there and progress as able
Why does he look like a grey haired dr strange?
Ha! Cause I’m getting old!
Funny!
That is way too hard
Then start within your capacity and progress as able. Let us know how you go
PHEWF!!
I think "rest" is also an exercise, rest periods in plank or workout also have advantages. Why doesn't your 10 minutes have a break of at least 10 seconds?
Because this workout is about endurance
