Thus takes a little getting used to. But doing this also reminded me how telescoped the camera view is (in the sense that objects appear much farther away than they actually are). Do you know whether there is a magnification (zoom) setting for the camera? I notice that a long press on the power button brings up a settings menu. The items are in Chinese, so I have not quite figured out what they all are. The first one is brightness. I'd love to be able to set the zoom level. Anyway, thanks for the great video!

Does original dimming on side mirrors still work after removing oem auto dimming rearview mirror? Normally side dimming mirrors are controlled by rearview mirror with auto dimming wire plug that you disconnected,
You did a thorough install and review. I have another brand that also incorporates a dashcam - which I strongly suggest. The Tesla cam only saves data if there is an accident and some have not worked for people, so a separate dashcam provides security. Those with Tesla insurance should always have a dashcam to dispute any false collision alerts or other false events. It has paid for itself many times over.
@@ayodangit Several brands have mirror dash cams - they install cleanest. Tesla does not have an OBD2 port. They use a standard Ethernet port. I use a cig lighter plug in the console, but there are USB and even cables that hook inline with the wiring harness. Get one that has the number of cameras you want - at least 3 - front, rear and cabin. I have the cabin recording the screen - it is important to have that so you can see what car messages are at any time.
