Hey! Quick suggestion! Check Nawazuddin Siddiqui's , manoj Bajpai's and pankaj Tripathi's work ! They have various hindi web series And all these 3 guys are the best actors of India Yes! "The best" much love from India❤️
Awesome tips Captain🤩! Also, quick tip for runs/jogs: you can actually buy an audio recorder bracelet and easily record any ideas that pop up during your runs! My runs have become a gold mine for ideas after I bought one of those ✌️ (also, I almost fell off my chair when you mentioned me in the video)
Dude, you're one of my favorite youtubers getting mentioned by another favorite youtuber! I follow you on strava too haha. Greetings from Spain and keep awesoming, hope to meet you one day!
I really appreciate your content--everything you said is so relatable. My most popular video is one where it took me over a year to make because I put so much pressure on myself to make it perfect. I finally decided on the last day of 2020 that if I didn't make it that day, I would never put it out. So, I scripted in the morning, filmed in the afternoon, edited at night, and put it out. It wasn't perfect but I just needed to get it out. It went viral.
I know, right! During the preparations for my Grade 12 exams, I used to run and get ideas and whatnot, and I did so well! In university now, and I have been absolutely neglecting that, and now I suddenly find myself being an idiot who's unable to complete his work! It's time to start doing that once again!
"The most important you can do as a UA-camr is cultivating the habit of writing." SO TRUE. As UA-camrs, we can get caught up in doing so much stuff other than writing (social media, networking, filming, etc). But in the end, it all comes down to writing the content which is the starting line to making the UA-cam video itself. I was feeling super unmotivated, sluggish and procrastinating on other stuff lately but this was a good reminder to keep the content writing momentum going! Always giving us inspiring videos!!! :)
I wake up at 3:30 to get ahead of my day before my 5 am workouts. My entire life, I never understood why I was so productive super late or super early. Last year, through some research, I discovered a concept called “transient hypofrontality”-which essentially means that for a temporary time (transient) everyday, our pre-frontal cortex (frontality) is severely slowed (hypo). This means that the inner critic, the part of us that’s doubtful and afraid of risk, the part of us that holds us back from being bold and ambitious, basically doesn’t exist. I get so much done from 3:30-5 in the morning it’s ridiculous. 3:30 may be extreme for some people, but the habit of waking up even an hour earlier will absolutely supercharge your life if you take advantage of it.
Another great video Captain! I just started my channel this year and scripted, shot and edited about 8 videos that I deleted after all was said and done. One of them I was glad I did that because the second version went "viral." Although, before it got pushed by the algorithm I watched it and thought it was pretty trash, but looking back on it seems like a good video. I feel like I crush the Pareto principle in the rest of my life, but then I watch your videos and I start wanting to make them as perfect as yours.
I love the growth of your channel in the past 2 weeks, from the early days that you talked directly to the camera. You inspired me to start my own channel. Thank you
I have been using Speech to text available on all platforms now. Can write 5 pages in 5 minutes. Ofcourse the transcription and grammar is not up to the mark but I as it is rewrite 2-3 times so cranking the first draft via voice saves a ton of time!
That’s a great idea, l will be using it from now on. At least the first draft will be done easily. Life has been too busy lately, l have been using voice memos for ideas, never thought of speech to text. Thanks
If you're beginner 1.Invideo or vidnami : paste your script there it will convert them from text to video automatically(I highly recommend) 2.Pexels: for free stock photos and videos. 3.Not good at writing?then search for free plr articles of your niche, just copy paste them into your script if you want. And that's it ......I'll update this comment if I learn anything new that can assist. Great video as always.
You're absolutely right. I recently realized that editing videos have cause me to have a sort of "depth" to literally everything I watch now. From actually paying attention to the background music, or how they do subtle cuts to keep the flow of the video going. Every time I click on a video I go back and look at the thumbnail to see why exactly did I click on it ? What spiked my interest? The story telling part however is a new concept I've never actually looked at. It's a habit I need to develop now I guess. As always, amazing video ❤
I don't have a UA-cam channel so I just noted the points for my work., felt as if the pointers are not limited to UA-cam alone. Once we start the day and create pointers ( write them down) we have a clear picture as to what needs to be done, infact you could even write down what you want to do differently or what you can do to be better at your current job. And pointer 4 works for your job as well, observing and analyzing other people's way of working!! Great Video Nikhil!! Looking good too ;)
Honestly, it's been difficult not to focus on the small stuff, because as a creator you can't stop looking at every small detail that makes your video what it is, but I can't agree more on your point that it matters very little if your script is good. It also brings inconsistency with an upload schedule, because you end up spending way too much time trying to top quality, and for a small youtuber like me, it can often end up stunting growth. Love the content Nikhil! thanks for the advice.
dude. I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now and only today, I realised that you’re a Salesforce Consultant. that’s awesome! I used to work in TV in Singapore..now I’m teaching videography in a college and studying for the Salesforce Admin exam. anyway, great video as always!
OMG... I have been following your content for sometime now mainly because of the awesome parody trailers that you make but THIS is the video i really needed. I am myself a very small youtuber and all this info is extremely insightful especially the part about writing. I write usually my scripts at night because of the peace and quiet but make several tweeks the next day and the previous night effort seems like a waste sometimes. Guess I need to try a different approach
I get so many writing ideas when I'm meditating. I have to keep a notebook next to me because they will pop up and I'll get distracted because I worry i won't remember. It's amazing what flows when I clear the mind and stop trying to think and allow it to come to me.
"how can I do damage control with this video".... I really needed to hear that. I'm starting to make videos and if this really kicks off it will be thanks to your advice tbh
Dudeeeeee ...howwwww????...u make the videos that a lot of people want at the right time...I just put down an everyday schedule and writing was a part of it...and this video comes up today😮...very helpful!!🔥🔥
Well done man. Writing down your thoughts on paper really clears things up. Half the time you'll realize the shit you're worrying about doesn't even matter
I believe you are the most real and relatable UA-camr! Your transparency is such a rare quality, especially at your level and that's exactly what I admire about you the most!
It IS FUN TO TAKE TYPING TESTS.... Also yes to the talk about that barrier to thought.... Like you literally put thoughts on paper faster... And distill those after....
Been watching your videos for a while now, and can really see the improvements and growth. Keep up the great work and content. Not an obvious angle but the writing part is one to look into more for sure!
Legit enjoy your videos' ideas and cinematography! Always inspiring. 🙏 That copying idea is great. Tried it by writing down word for word a piece I liked and now have a part of someone's writing style incorporated into my own writing! Keep at it dude because "greatness is coming" but also already here!
great vid, I think overall point is correct about scripting. On the production value bits, I recall reading a book from a best-selling car salesman, and he mentioned one thing he did differently instead of sending out the usual junk mail to customers, he would custom make letters that looked handwritten so that people would be more likely to open rather than toss it. Point being, we connect with new single words, information, and media based on positive and negative previous experiences. When you sweat the production value, we don't tune in necessarily for the 10 bit color correction, but seeing the professional look and feel subconsciously will increase the feeling of a value product and experience.
As a viewer who is aware of why i liked a certain video, i would say this: it's always the closer to the boring day to day chit chat and activities that are almost stimulating that really gets me engaged, i saw a video shot on some cheap phone of a person buying a bull from a farmer, and arguing over the price and it was so damn good, got me thinking about how most youtubers plan out their camera positions and scripts and all that effort to seem professional when in reality most people just like a generic day to day chat, seeing you get surprised and excited as you read a passage from a book, almost as if we're getting to talk with you in person، your older nofap based videos actually served that Purpose very well, not to sound like a "older you is better" kinda guy but I'm just providing a good example of what I mean and Sharing my experience to you, nikhil, i hope that would help connect some dots or anything. I really think it also may be because i personally am interested in the process of change that comes from nofap, so also keep that in consideration when reading my opinion :)
Hey, I'm from Argentina 🇦🇷 I actually loved the video. I'm starting to teach people how to create their own videos, and you have inspired me a lot. I would love to watch a video about how to organize the time, production, writing, editing and all that stuff to upload lots of videos. I'm now making 1 video per week, and that would be around 50 videos a year. So, is there a way to get better and more efficient at the process? Thanks for this video!
Thanks Nikhil, these are great tips! One thing I'm struggling with is writing a script and then record it without it looking like I'm reading from a script. Right now, either I'm looking at the script so much that it's distracting (to the viewer), or I improvise and it turns out mediocre (because my spoken English is much worse than my written English). I'm going to keep practicing though! I just have to practice a lot more, even if it's stuff that I don't actually use in a video. Also running helps SO much in pretty much all aspects of life! I've been neglecting it in the past few months and I've really noticed that my focus has gone down so much. I went for a run this morning and today was probably the most productive day I had in weeks. By the way, for running motivation, I can really recommend Casey Neistat's video "my addiction"!
Very core points to consider when building the foundation of your UA-cam Channel for success that will affect your ROI. Thanks for a great productivity video! My question for you: How did you maintain productivity and creativity while living with your parents? I live with my step-father due to poor financial planning when I got divorced and I feel SUPER discouraged to work on creating videos for my channel because being at home KILLS my creativity. Its distracting at home and I have limited time to myself to get lost in my creativity. Thanks in advance!
Great video Cap! I resonate with so much of your wisdom. One thing I've always wondered about scripting though is how it relates to authentic vlog-type videos. I can't quite figure out to what extent UA-camrs "script" their vlogs.
I feel like people tend to focus a lot on things that improve the aesthetic but it's the substance of the content that matters. And this isn't just for UA-cam, it applies to a lot of areas in life. I think people have this desire to look professional because it makes their work look like a lot of effort was put in it but the only way you can get your point across is if your content has substance.
This was a really good video. I find I often don’t focus enough on the writing, instead I put more energy into filming and editing. Thank you so much for the advice 🙏🏾
DUDE i had some writers block in english today and i went on type racer and the ideas started flowing. I watched this video and you brought up that tip and this is the 5th really weird coincidence manifest kinda feeling within the past few days
I've actually decided to quit my job to pursue content creation this week starting with almost no following. This video came at the perfect time for me. THANK YOU
Thank you for this video! It's funny, I actually just realize on my own recentley that I needed to work on my scripts. I just realized that, and now here you are providing the answer to how to do that. Thank you!
I really like that typing test idea. When I would struggle to write creatively sometimes another thing I used to do was that I would just start every writing session by journaling. It seems that you just need to grease the wheels to get in the writing frame of mind. I might try out that typing test next time.
Tip #5 reminds me of a book title I once saw called "I Hope I Screw This Up" by Kyle Cease and just that book title alone has helped me so much in those Tip #5 situations cause it always makes me giggle when I think about it and then feel like everything's gonna be alright lol P.S. I've read his other book "The Illusion of Money" it's pretty incredible
"It is garbage. I make stupid stuff, whatd'ya want from me?" - Captain Sinbad. I loved this part, seriously. I've heard this principle before, from yourself and others, but this one made it stick a lot better because it was so funny.
Incredible as always captain 🔥 I admire your fluency, pronunciation, and obviously that deep voice. So I was wondering if you could make a video or short for your Indian fellas or other NNES's who struggle to speak English fluently.
You don't know how valuable this is. I've recently felt my focus was wrong on my own channel, so I'm working a lot on the content of my videos and the message I send through them, as well as how I deliver it. Thanks
I’ve done Ali’s typing tests and they’re fun but I find they’re just a bunch of random words strung together whereas when you’re typing a script with sentences that make sense - that makes the typing flow a lot faster. Coz there’s a flow to the words I guess. But I like the idea of using the typing tests as a warm up for the fingers before actual writing. 👍👍👍
Writing first thing in the morning.... Is also mentioned in the book The Artists way by Julia Cameron...Its called Morning Pages where you write 3 long hand pages.... I learnt about this in Tim Ferris book Tools of Titans. Its helping me too... Thanks for this amazing Video Captain Sinbad... I liked the rhythm of the edit as well as the change of emotions....where do you get the movie copyrighted clips from... Please guide
Good video man but why do you run with a phone in your hand. Quick tip for you, get the Sport beats headphone. They will make your life easier. Thank you for sharing the video.
Today only I watched your old video on becoming supernatural , I read that book long back , but very nicely you described the book in 15 mnts . And thank you for inspiring us.
Hi Cap, couple videos ago you said you wanted to up your style. I'd recommend a channel Gentleman's Gazette. I think that the most important point to upgrading your style is learning and getting informed. Greatness is coming 💪
I don't click on your videos cuz of color gradin, it's ur personality that make me come back to ur channel, so freakin much to learn from you and I'm so proud that an Indian guy has a platform like that, and I wanna see you in movies next, so much love Nik pandy 😀🤘🙏
Best points for me Go for a jog to increase BDNF Copy others you admire Tell yourself you are making garbage: use mental reversal. "I am an idiot who makes garbage videos. What do u want from me?" "It is trash. It is what we do here." It takes the pressure off!

I do appreciate your content Erika.... I found you on Matt D avellas channel comments and really loved your videos... 👏👏👏 Keep inspiring
Funny seeing Erika here. You are someone I just discovered and now "analyze & copy." Great work!
The "Go for a jog" truly is a miracle when you need a creative boost.. Loved the vid man, you're crushing it again!

Just 14 minutes of facts here. Always appreciate your emphasis on writing in your work man 💪

I have been using Speech to text available on all platforms now. Can write 5 pages in 5 minutes. Ofcourse the transcription and grammar is not up to the mark but I as it is rewrite 2-3 times so cranking the first draft via voice saves a ton of time!

2.Pexels: for free stock photos and videos.
3.Not good at writing?then search for free plr articles of your niche, just copy paste them into your script if you want.

Great video as always.
Having a full-time job and to be this consistently good is unbelievable 🙌👏
Dude you on fire it must be that nofap 😅
“Greatness is coming.” 🙌🏾
You're absolutely right. I recently realized that editing videos have cause me to have a sort of "depth" to literally everything I watch now. From actually paying attention to the background music, or how they do subtle cuts to keep the flow of the video going. Every time I click on a video I go back and look at the thumbnail to see why exactly did I click on it ? What spiked my interest? Story, simple as that. Quality video is derived from Story. Story is king.
Great tips Captain!

Appreciate this video so much. I script my videos word for word, mainly because I dont want to end up with 2 hours of BLOOPERS!
even though I don't make your style of videos, this is still very helpful. thank you Nikhil :)
Needed this one 👊🏽
Incredible as always captain 🔥
I admire your fluency, pronunciation, and obviously that deep voice. So I was wondering if you could make a video or short for your Indian fellas or other NNES's who struggle to speak English fluently.
My biggest takeaway from your course: I need to write more. Glad to see this deeper dive!
There are some typing tests that are actual words
@@CaptainSinbad ah cool, that’s great to know. Thanks! 🙌
Added straight to my favourites. I'll be a consistent viewer of this video over the next while haha
Your scripts are killer man!
You are great dude, i really love your content and you!! so happy to see you having success, wish you the best luck now and always!!
Brilliant advice, I have taken it in board
Your upload schedule is insane!
When I see a new captain sinbad video I get genuinely excited.
Can't agree more! The story is always the king. Very useful tips.
Hi Cap, couple videos ago you said you wanted to up your style. I'd recommend a channel Gentleman's Gazette. I think that the most important point to upgrading your style is learning and getting informed. Greatness is coming 💪
Great hacks and ideas, can't skip any part of your video.I am your huge fan.
What’s the best video editing software?
Every time you say “content” I just hear “CONTENT!”
Hahahaha
I think the contrast is a bit on the lower side on your videos, bright and natural looking colour might appeal to more? Idk if it's true
Thank you so much for the tips and making my day. Love you Captain
"Yeah. It is trash. It's what we do here."
- Captain Sinbad
garbageman: greatness is coming
As someone who was bought up in gulf, with parents from India. This channel is relatablee
The only reason I watch as I love it to watch an Indian such really creative and meaningful stuff in different style. Keep it up Brother!
Needed this as a beginner content creator! Appreciate the clear explanations.
I don't click on your videos cuz of color gradin, it's ur personality that make me come back to ur channel, so freakin much to learn from you and I'm so proud that an Indian guy has a platform like that, and I wanna see you in movies next, so much love Nik pandy 😀🤘🙏
Brilliant video. Exactly what I needed. Thanks Cap'n
Best points for me
Go for a jog to increase BDNF
Copy others you admire
Tell yourself you are making garbage: use mental reversal. "I am an idiot who makes garbage videos. What do u want from me?"
"It is trash. It is what we do here." It takes the pressure off!
I just... Cannot believe.. the quality... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great work Nikhil! Keep it up! I am liking this back to back upload cycle but also feeling like shit about my own productivity!
Haha oh no!
also holy shit that feeling that the video you're making is bad is so relatable!
