“I cannot hit customers, I’ve been told” is probably the most underrated quote in the show
One of the best running jokes in the show is the subtle, and not so subtle, hints at Michaels mental instability.
@@brianm2881 Michaels mental state is big enough to run another show like max and paddy morphed out of phoenix nights
That and "There's one in the bathroom, but I've no cause to use it" when asked if Michael has a spoon.
"Go and stand by the Yakults"
No one was injured during the filming of this episode, with the exception of Michael who died.
It's hotter than the sun has worked its way onto my commonly used phrases list
'A spring in your step is last thing you need on a cliff top", has made it into mine
I just said it to my landlord during a serious conversation :S I looked up this clip so I could laugh at myself and for some light relief!
@@stevechristie2569 I was when this was first shown. And used to work in a petrol station. Haven't seen these in full for a while tbh. What am I missing?!
'Hotter than the sun' is a common phrase..
Same here, as well as "never gonna use 'em," "unbelievable," "he hasn't seen me, I'll get 'im later," "ten minutes Lynn!", "I'm confused," and "I'm gonna cook all the food".
That roar Alan makes after biting into the apple turnover is priceless
8 mins lolololololllolol
It’s terrifying
@@eightiesboy 8 minutes is ridiculous it needed 2 max
@@billybear2333 Any pastry product that contains a sugar based liquid filling, will reach astronomical temperatures in seconds. I would say 1 minute MAX would be enough in a 800W+ Microwave to get the apple pie to a cooked temperature thats safe from inflicting oral scalding (given the consumer gives a cooling down period of aproximately 40 seconds).
@@thedeepesthat4029 You've made me take a long hard look at my previous estimate and laugh at how foolish I was, you are right that 1 minute is plenty and I will make sure it does not exceed that in future unless I am in the mood for some glucose based 3rd degree burns!
“Don’t know that word, carry on.” 🤣🤣 the little quotes always make me laugh!!
Alan partridge must be the most rewatchable comedian ever
David Brent
@@chriswakefield9538 Nah, but a close 2nd.
I binge watch the whole lot frequently and find it equally as funny every time!
@@emmylou4522 Same here!
Michael Scott
That roar of pain is just brilliant when he bites into the molten bramley apple 😂
ITS HOTTER THAN THE SUN!
'Shotgun in the mouth' - that line by Micheal always cracks me up The look on his face lol
in the mooth.
@@mrneutral8423 I stand corrected said the man in the orthapedic shoe...
"Go and stand by the Yakults" 🤣
I love how he hesitates while saying "one up your bum" like a child who's still learning about rude words.
Great observation. So true. 😂
Steve coogan is irreplaceable! He’s got a very rewatchable personality I love him! 😂😂
My favourite "back of the net" ever.
_Spiceworld._
Go and stand by the yakults
coincidence there was a yakult ad just before this? haha
that was sooo funn
I want to say this to someone in a shop 😂
Much as I love Alan, Lynne is totally underrated with her mannerisms. The way she says "8 minutes" gets me every time.
Every line in this show is golden
"It's still corporal punishment, see you in Strasbourg" Classic
Every time I walk past a Starbucks I always think its a suicide hot spot.
I sometimes consider it when I pay £4 for some froth and burnt mud
Honeycomb Yorkie... what a time to be alive!
Only just noticed how he perfectly resembles the stupid book cover of himself on the shelf behind him when he's brandishing the apple pie.
Oh Yh😂
That's a great spot 😆
So relatable 😂 "Don't know that word, carry on"
“…having washed my hands.” 😂😂😂
Needless to say, Alan had the last laugh.
Wilson Scraddock needles to say I had the last laugh!
@@placidrenegade *Needles to say, I took Drugs.*
🤣🤣🤣
This sketch is just so dense with excellent humour. There's probably enough packed into these four minutes to make an hour long American comedy show.
See you in Strasbourg!
SuperZedd b
that's my 2019 hashtag. Yet, you have already coined it. Ok, hashtag me 2 hashtag class action case in Strasburg? Does that work?
Could go your way, could go mine.... Glorious 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️
1:07 “it’s a suicide hotspot” - “what Starbucks”?! 🤣🤣
American here and I just discovered Alan P and I’m hooked! I fancy myself a fairly keen eye of British humor so I’ve no idea how I missed all this brilliance.
Glad you enjoy it :)
Hope you’ve caught up with everything…including the movie!
@@pryan9892 obsessed with the movie!
"I cant hit customers iv been told"
Much as you’re almost certainly not supposed to, I always find Alan’s revenges and “last laughs” on people highly admirable. I heartily endorse the approach 🙂

The very same
0:25 what you want to say to your bosses when they skirt around the fact something went wrong.
"I cannot hit customers, I've been told!"
And you just know when he was told there was another five minutes of Michael asking questions that started' 'but what if they...?'
There enough supplies in here for 3_weeks, wanna mars bar, swivel
Lovely stuff
“ Its hotter then the sun “ 😂
Comedy Gold, Alan always has the Last Laugh🤣🤣
I don't sweat, I use Lynx Africa.

“Have you a battery for an Ericsson?” should be a standard greeting. (Especially at funerals).
See you in Strasbourg 😂😂
I think they've got bigger fish to fry.
Want a Mars bar? Swivel!!😂😂
God, back when petrol was 77.9p a litre...
2002 to now is 1.67 price rise. So 77x1.67 = 128.6p so petrol is still around the same price. As wages have followed inflation.
This country
Fact For The Day,
Michael (Simon Greenall) does the voice for the Go Compare Alexander The Meerkat,
Absolute legend "cup of beans".
"Crabsticks don't actually contain any crab and manufacturers are legally obliged to label them 'crab-flavoured sticks'. Another one of those tomorrow".
lol but seriously though, that genuinely was an interesting fact, thanks for sharing it!
'She looked like Bob Dylan'.
I canny hit customers, I’ve been told 😂
2:10
That sound will never be repeated so perfectly by any other human in existence.
You're alright you!
Got to be my favourite line out of them all. "I heard you clinking" is second 🤣
I love that this line is quoted in my 5 year old daughter's favourite episode of Danger Mouse
According to Michael there are enough supplies here for three weeks.
2:12
So iconic.
"could go your way, could go mine, either way one of us is going down" one of my favourite ever Partridge scenes.
Tetlee Is this the same Tetlee that frequents the better quality boxing channels? If so, your choice of sport and comedy is superb!
@@georgec2894 the very same. Cheers 👍
So this is where you get your kicks when you're not watching the pontiph???
Great to see my old school in the opening sequence.
Starbucks is a suicide hotspot. The subtitles are hilarious. "What a mouse behind a swivel"

"It's still corporal punishment: see you in Strasbourg!"
Don't know that word - carry on...
Invidious and detritus, most elegant hilarious words in from the person in charge.

Africa survived as a Lynx (or Axe if you like American things now) brand because of this scene
And to a lesser extent Voodoo and Java
Back of the net!!!
Want a mars bar?/swivel
Needles to say, he had the last laugh.
8 minutes would be very very hot.
Hotter than the sun?
Neil Carroll that my friend was beautiful
TheRedRoman thank you, now kiss my face!!
Neil Carroll oooh, you’re nicer than my wife.
Hotter than a Starbucks suicide?
I’ve always thought Alan Partridge was the prologue to David Brent.
Seeing the still-continuing evolution of Alan Partridge, David Brent is more of a very good footnote.
David Brent is only tolerable in short doses, you wouldn’t want to watch a whole film about him.
Step away from the theatre of conflict
He got the lab assistant pregnant .
Never sees the kid.

How embarrassing, I use Lynx Africa too.
Want a Mars bar? Swivel
Every time I watch him I notice more
Look, I love Alan Partridge, but I have to ask: at what point did Lynn manage to draw on the guy's back?? :D
Yeah, that's a question I've been trying to ignore for the past who knows how many years lol. My wife just asked the same thing. The answer is..........she did it in a deleted clip? Just kidding, I don't know. There is no answer to this question. Or maybe there is? I just don't know it.
Yeah when??? I didn't get that whole sketch at the end because of it 😕
Lynn did it with a long marker pen
i think lynn must have done it while at the school. It’s the only thing that makes it plausible.
She did it at the school I think. I agree with the other comment - it's not plausible any other way if we're to be realistic.
Michael gave Steve Coogan his first break. Fact

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH hahahaha
Why is there a “no windsocks” sign behind Michael lol
And if I squeeze it!!..
