Petitions don't work. All they do is reveal the small numbers you have. You have to launch essentially a bullying campaign so severe that it gets real attention.
Lorenzo continues to prove why he should not be in charge of the Transformers films. He is so out of touch towards fans I question why Hasbro and Paramount keep him around.

(Just wanna say) G1 is awesome, love it, but its not the "be all, end all" of Transformers. Plenty of inspiration and ideas from G1 is always, always a good thing, but not too much. The limit to how distant something can be from G1 is TFP. TFP definitely took some ideas and inspiration from G1, but not alot; not too much. Its still quite new and unique (ideas-, etc -wise). TFP is awesome. Also, BBM and ROTB were awesome.

I don't understand why these directors and producers and actors keep doing this. It's like they go out of their way to alienate the fans. The customers. And then have the nerve to get angry when the customers don't buy their product and the film flops.
But, most of the _directors_ actually are good and like/respect the original; Travis, Steven, now Josh. All 3 of these guys felt/seemed like they actually wanted/want to tell a good story and something special. Its only Lorenzo and his big mouth. Also, the last 2 movies we got were awesome! BBM and ROTB were by far the _best_ TF movies alongside TTFTM, Predacons Rising, and hopefully, probably TF: One

We like the 86 movie because Toei had a large animating budget. 80s anime is good looking, and the tf 86 movie had an anime artstyle.

It ended with the hero lighting the Transformers darkest hour. But it was a rock and roll adventure to get there.

Hey, Rodimus! I’m starting work on a rewrite of Transformers 2007 that take continuity from Bumblebee and a soft retool of ROTB. My basic story is a heartfelt road trip with the Autobots adapting to the “modern era” of 2007. Here are the main characters (sorry this is so long):
Optimus Prime - Transforms into a red and blue 1987 Freightliner FLA semi truck, includes silver trailer that can transform into robot mode or transform into portable armory similar to DOTM. After 20 years on Earth, the Autobots have defeated the Decepticons and Unicron at the cost of draining the remaining life from Cybertron. Optimus feels uncertain leading the Autobots until he must take command once again.
Bumblebee - Transforms into yellow and black 1977 Chevrolet Camaro with all-terrain extensions from ROTB.
Arcee - Transforms into white and pink Ducati 916 motorcycle.
Elita-1 - Transforms into pink and silver 1994 Peterbilt 379 semi truck.
Ratchet - Transforms into white and red 1984 Nissan Vanette ambulance.
Wheeljack - Transforms into white, red and green 1976 Lancia Stratos Turbo race car.
Jazz - Transforms into white, blue and red Porsche 935 Turbo RSR.
Cliffjumper (revived by Ratchet, Wheeljack and Optimus Prime via the Matrix of Leadership in 1995) - Transforms into red and gray 1972 Dodge Challenger.
Ironhide - Transforms into red and black 1992 Hummer H1 Wagon.
Mikaela Banes - A 16-year-old mechanic from Tranquility, California who enters the Autobot-Decepticon war when she acquires Bumblebee in his off-road Camaro mode at a car sale.
Mikaela forms a bond with Optimus Prime over their shared uncertainty about the future (Mikaela on what she wants to do with her life after high school, and Optimus feeling unsure about his leadership of the Autobots after defeating Megatron and Unicron at the cost of draining Cybertron’s life). As Optimus resolves his own uncertainties, he becomes a mentor for Mikaela, offering wisdom and support as she contemplates her post-high school path.
Bumblebee serves as Mikaela’s introduction to not only the world of the Transformers, but also exposes her to environments outside of her small town. Team Prime not only learn from Mikaela on how much the world has changed in the 11 years since they isolated themselves, but they also educate her on what their culture was like on both Cybertron and Earth.
Bumblebee specifically introduces Mikaela to the pop culture of the 80s and 90s and alongside Optimus Prime and the rest of the team, show her what it means to live and, in a way, be human.
Sam “Spike” Witwicky - Mikaela’s best friend who helps her repair the rusting Autobots.
I’m turned off about the movie. I’m strictly G1 fan.

I’m hopeful, but Lorenzo and the other people at Paramount are killing the vibe. I hope after the G.I. Joe crossover, Hasbro takes the rights to Legendary or something and gets people who care for the franchise (honestly something Hasbro should have done after declaring Bumblebee a reboot) to plan the future.
If legendary can make Godzilla amazing, than they can make the Transformers awesome as well

Lorenzo isn’t the director. He’s the producer. Josh Cooley is the director.

@@haydenreviewscustomcombos Depends on the producer hierarchy. Lorenzo might be the head producer, though I don’t know how much say he has with this movie. I also don’t know much on the other producers other than that Michael Bay is also a producer; though he’s always been a producer for the Paramount Transformers films. And given that he hasn’t had much interest in directing the movies for a while now, I doubt he’s had much say on the movie outside of funding it.
But it at least sounds like the writers and the director had the most say on how things went for this movie as opposed to Lorenzo, but that’s just me making an estimated guess.
There are times you really do just want to shake these people and tell them to stop talking.

This honestly is one of the biggest issues I have with Hollywood these days, the hiring of individuals who don’t know or care about the stories and characters they’ve been put in charge of and their casual disrespect of their audience, aka the people who’s money they presumably want/need so they can keep making more product and stay in business. I mean, guys like Lorenzo & Bay aren’t even professional enough to TRY to understand why fans may feel so passionate about a particular fictional universe and it’s characters, which makes it even more annoying when they act surprised that their half assed efforts fail to produce the results they wanted…And yes, the same can be said for the folks at Disney strangling Star Wars and Marvel as well.

I'll take the slipstream. The legacy Windblade mold was easy to my understanding better for me. The earthrise seeker i ask why dont they reuse the g2 thrust? Give a new head and standard seeker wings and boom! we got slipstream i saw it on a 3d print site one day

Funny how shills are trying to shut up the same older TF fans that Paramount expects to buy tickets for this film for new younger fans... I could just take my grandson to the park that weekend with a new Spider-Man tricycle and he'll be fine.

Bumblebee suffered because The Last Knight was trash. People were tired of the GARBAGE Michael Bay Transformers movies that told the same story. And for the record, Bumblebee was financial success. I'm tired of the all the "It's not Bayverse enough" whining.
Why are studio execs nowadays have been hiring people who doesn't have knowledge and love of the franchise that they were entrusted to and even insults the fans? This happened to Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, every franchise that Disney, Amazon, and Warner Bros. have bought or licensed, and so much more.

After see this new figure of Quake for the first time along with his alt-mode, you can color me impressed, I wish they could have retooled the Earthrise seeker mold when giving us a modern Slipstream, here’s hoping that the rest of the reveals are as impressive as Quake was.
i think Windblades tooling would've suited a robot form Sari Sumdac better, kinda like how the old T30 figure was going to do that as well but got cancelled.

The plot and story beats were taken from Star Wars, (most of) the animation was a big improvement from the TV show, and the Autobot-Decepticon war finally had stakes and consequences. And lots of quotable lines and one hell of a soundtrack. A new Transformers animated movie doesn't have to be dark, but it should incorporate those elements
I have given up hope in a transformers movie. After the bumblebee movie got the Cybertron scenes right it’s hard to see all the other stuff as they always make a few transformers just dumb and goofy. I just collect the toys I like now. Great video as always. I love the videos you do.
Spinister got his targetmasters but his were better... I know battle masters did poorly but they could have sold these guys' guns in Gen Selects as repaints and maybe as two-packs for each

ik he doesn't care, and I shouldn't care either, but god the bit about not caring about continuity hurt, its one of the best things I like about transformers. Its also why I'm still excited for it because I see bits of inspiration from multiple continunities in the trailer.
How this new origin story goes remains to be seen but I feel there was more effort put into understanding the characters this time, as long as the movie showed the povs and emotions well enough(or the reasons for why they fight), I think its gonna be a good origin story.
I think what 86 did would be surprising to anyone, you get to know characters for 2 seasons and expects to see more of them in the very first movie ever produced, only to see lot of them dead within the first 30 mins. (it was also geared towards kids, I think thats what got him, but ya tone was different then and now)
86 was dark, it was brutal, it was sad and probably also truamatizing to see loved characters die like the way they did, but it was not a downer.
it was an adventure of new characters trying to fill in where the old had died while a planet eating god is approuching their home, there was grief, struggles, action, heart felt moments and many other things to enjoy from it.
Lorenzo’s gotta go. Simple as that. We need more people in power who actually understand the material their adapting for a change.

I think it encapsulates the budget issues these big brands have right now.
Also G2 Ramjet will suffice as a Slipstream cameo.

I hate to make an edgy comet but if Lorenzo was potentially Scared of 1986, and possibly Turned his Brain off during the Bayverse, then he'll probably faint if he reads the recent Comics, or hears my personal early scripts for my crossover of Pokemon and Transformers. As I speak it is for adults and veteran fans of both. And it's either as dark as the Comics right now, or more so. I promise it shall be as well written as possible, but even so I can only imagine what Lorenzo would think.
Also on a side note, thank you so much for showing out Theorymus, he totally deserves our support!

Huh. Lego Bee's vehicle mode - *TO ME* - looks somewhat similar to the Suzuki Swift of Takara's old Binaltech Alternity Bumble, Cliffjumper, & Goldbug.
Legacy G1 Quake: the tank is okay, despite being a retool of Skullgrin. It's more janky than Kingdom Slammer's tank mode, but definitely snatches the mold from Skullgrin and owns it (akin to how Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus owns the mold of Prime RiD Optimus, or how Titans Return Soundwave owns the mold that's CLEARLY meant to be Blaster).
Only way I think we ever get a proper Seeker style Slipstream is if Hasbro & Takara do a modernized Animated Starscream; apart from having a slimmer, more feminine frame, she's literally the same mold. And it shouldn't be that difficult (PotP Elita-1 was a retool of PotP Starscream)...

Honestly, there’s a few things that are making me think that I’m probably not gonna go see it. I was originally very excited for this movie, as I was hoping it’d be slightly more dramatic with showing how Orion and Megatron once got along and then at the end showing how the war on Cybertron began. But after seeing the trailer, I just don’t think it looked all that appealing. And I really hate to say that. I think it’ll be a great movie for kids, and maybe some transformers fans, but lately I’ve become a lot more critical over movies than I used to be, and ONE has unfortunately fallen under that. Lorenzo saying that isn’t helping either. If anything, it’s helping put the nail in the coffin for my decision. I’m still not sure if I’ll go see it in theaters or not, but I’m really hoping I’m wrong about this movie.
Don't buy into all the hate, honestly there's a lot of entitled fans out there who think they're owed something. Directors generally make movies for themselves first, not for fans but in saying that, Josh knows the lore, he knows the characters and he's got the chops and he'll be his own biggest critic. However you want to take Lorenzo's comments, bare in mind, the production behind this movie wouldn't have taken place without his experience.
Wait for some mates to go see it first and get their views if you need to and even if it is geared to involve a younger crowd, I think you'll have fun watching it.

Hey, Rodimus! Transformers Legacy United G1 universe Optimus Prime has been revealed today!
To me someone doesn't have to be a super fan of an IP but they should respect the IP at least. And Lorenzo doesn't seem to have that respect even for transformers. I always love bringing up harve Bennett. He was asked to produce Star Trek 2, he accepted even tho he never seen the show at all (and it sounded like he had no interest either but I could be wrong with that), so he watched the original series (they sent him broadcast cuts I guess) and he respected the Star Trek property and the fans enough after seeing what the fans liked and made a movie that I've seen so many Trek fans say it's their favorite movies of all time. That shows that you don't have to be a fanboy but just respect the property enough to at least try to make something good.

As a kid who was a big fan of transformers I liked the idea it could be more adult then most the cartoons on at the time . I loved the show but it was getting old like the same story every show Megatron has some plan.then fails and retreats so when the movie came out 1st they killed characters, then.the leader had an emotional death then we got the story of Hot Rod going from youthful and full of mistakes to growing up and defeating unicron the decepticons and saving everybody its a great story and movie and more adult based why wouldn't fans love it

After Bumblebee and seeing the love and care poured into it, I would rather have Travis take over any Transformers film. Right down to the fact that he IS a long time fan - since the G1 series.
Im whats known as a universal singularity enjoyer basically that means i can tell you in TF's which character is from what cluster or which universe said character is from. The Live Action Movies for example fall into the Tyran Cluster.
He compared it to the 86 movie himself when he started saying it the first one since 86. He picks and chooses his comparisons. Lol
Dark? It had action and losses in it. What happens in the new one? Do they just go the shops? A trip to the cybertronian park? What a dumb criticism.
It looks kind of fun but I'm not a big fan of this current trend of having the villain start as a good guy and giving them a reason to go bad. Not all criminals are victims of circumstance. Annakin was too good in Phantom Menace as well, he could have been a bit of a brat or something at least. In this trailer Megatron looks like the sensible one, if anything, so I have an inkling they're going to throw Optimus under the bus in some way. Kind of like they did with Thomas Wayne in Joker, but in a PG way, obviously!
It feels like they might be going for a sort of Dreamworks Moses and Ramses route.
Optimus (Moses) goes from the reckless trouble maker trying to prove himself to turning into the smartened and humbled hero and leader of the Autobots who seeks true freedom for Cybertron. Whereas Megatron (Ramses) goes from the sensible and protective one who’s always trying to get himself and Orion out of trouble to going down a dark path of seeking power and desiring everyone to do things his way out of a conceived notion that he and he alone only knows what’s best for Cybertron.
Also, having Megatron starting out as a good guy isn’t anything new. I don’t know if it started with the Dreamwave comics or the 2005 IDW comics run, but Megatron being a heroic revolutionary turned evil tyrant has been a common story thread in Transformers for quite a while. It’s in the Aligned continuity (the Cybertron games and TFP), Cyberverse, the Netflix WFC trilogy, and potentially the Skybound comics given that the Decepticons view the Autobots as the evil ones (or at least having a genuine reason for hating the Autobots outside of fighting them simply because the Decepticons are evil for the sake of being evil). And from all I’ve seen, people mostly prefer this story route for Megatron. It’s a very Magneto origins and Anakin to Darth Vader type of story line.
Granted this is the first take on this story line where Megatron seems to have a somewhat decent life at the start compared to the usual telling of it, but it’s mostly the same path nonetheless.

@@matafuko It’s not like any of those versions make Megatron sympathetic during his reign as leader of the Decepticons. They very much make it a point that Megatron ended up turning into the very thing he initially fought against and that he does a lot of evil. For example in the Cybertron games Megatron became so deadly serious about people following him that he would go as far as to shoot down neutral Cybertronian ships that simply wanted to leave the war. He’s still very much evil, he just had a start where he was trying to do good; he just ultimately really lost his way on his perceived path of fixing Cybertron.
Though regardless I’d highly recommend you check out the info for this stuff. There’s a reason a lot of Transformers fans really like this kind of storyline for some of the Transformers iterations, and why it’s made stuff like the Aligned continuity and most of the 2005 IDW comics really popular. The recent Skybound comics are really popular at the moment as well, though they haven’t quite fully delved into how the war started in this iteration, only showing hints that there’s a reason for it other than black and white good and evil. At the moment it’s mainly just G1 with really good story telling and the brutality of Bayverse fight scenes, but it’s gotten a lot of high praises.

Maybe it would be easier if I just explain I am a total geewunner - Beast Wars came out when I was 12 and I didn't even want to watch THAT. I've heard it's good (I've even had chats with Rodimus in his podcast about it) but whether they're "good" isn't really my issue if that makes sense. A lot of people say the G1 cartoon *isn't* good - and I don't care about that either y'know? (I even like GoBots!)
It's nostalgia for me, and I don't mean to say that everything should stay the same just for me - everyone has a different thing they like about Transformers that makes them love it - and if I can see that a particular incarnation isn't providing mine - then it's just another cartoon. I tried the Netflix show where the designs looked really G1 accurate - but Bumblebee was kind of a jerk to Wheeljack within the first few minutes - and I just turned it off then and there. Conversely, what I've seen of TF:Animated was kind of enjoyable, despite having a really different look. I hope that makes some kind of sense.
If the new cartoons don't appeal to me I'm happy to just let them be and then go watch Megatron's Master Plan again!

As a Transformers fan who’s open to the different interpretations throughout the franchise (so long as they’re good/decent), I recognize there’s always going to be some fans who don’t want much else to do with other Transformers iterations other than the one they favor (certain G1 fans and Bayverse fans being the most prominent of this case). While I wouldn’t want to force you to watch something you don’t want to, I still want to try to recommend something that a lot of fans do enjoy and favor.
Though regarding TF:One, there has been a comparison made by someone who saw the movie in which they described it as being akin to a mix of the LEGO movie and the first Avengers movie. That to me sounds like it might have Animated and G1-esq elements to it mixed with some aligned/IDW stuff. So while it may not entirely end up being your kind of Transformers iteration, I think there should be some elements you might like if the movie turns out good. And with the Quintessons being the main bad guys in the film, there’s definitely going to be some more just plain evil villains for the movie.
Huh...popular nostalic product gets a "modern overhaul" and creators of said "modern overhaul" doesnt understand why fans like the franchise the way it was.......yup....this is brand for "reboots" these days.
I guess the potential to be good is there. Reboots within Transformers happens nearly all 5 Years. I am hopeful.

I am hyped for Quake, even though the tank is horrible, I still want it! I don't like slipstream, her face looks like a male seeker. I am hyped by TF ONE, but yeah... It seems Hasbro should get of Lorenzo for this movies.... The doesn't know what the franchise is... He produces what he thinks it should be...
Hope I'm not talking out of term here, but I had long hoping for a series Transformers movies using an animation style (and storyline) similar to the video games War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. Those would have made for some great movies and I honestly think that would have appealed to audiences of all ages. Perhaps they could have used the novels written by Alex Irvin as a script for the movies? I mean I guess I will give this one a chance...seems a bit too "silly" from early previews but there was some on-purpose silliness in G1 too, can't deny that. But I reality think they missed the mark in not going more with a video game style of animation and storyline.
I would’ve preferred slipstream to be a repaint of the Earthrise/coronation Starscream mold, if they were going for a Transformers animated version of the character.
Still wouldn't work, they need to HEAVILY remold it so that it would look female and you're probably just better off making a new female mold.
I think a few tweaks to this new Slipstream would do it for me. Seeker style wings and chest would be the basics.
Well Duke in the original GI Joe Movie was supposed to die, but they changed it due to how jarring Optimus death was in the '86 movie. Lorenzo Dibonaventura well he is a hypocrite and should stop talking before he alienates the fans
If Lorenzo ever attends an AMA, someone needs to grab the mic and tell him that he genuinely does not know what the fuck he's talking about. That his wishy-washy handwavy BS talk is only doing more harm than good and that if he genuinely doesn't know if the movie is a prequel, sequel, or reboot, then he should keep his mouth shut.

Slipstream: Not interested. I never really liked the Legends version repaint of Windblade. On top of that, they are insisting on marketing this as Cyberverse, but it clearly isn't. They should have just called it "Legends Universe Slipstream". I doubt I'll get this one since I would prefer a VOY Slipstream specifically from the Reactivate Starscream mould. If the Nonnef kit comes out really well, then it'll level up to a 'maybe'.
Quake: I was really curious to see how this would come out. It's honestly a bit disappointing. I think they could have done better if they didn't include the targetmasters (which I'll admit, I don't like). Fortunately, I do like modding. And I think I can improve that alt mode myself. The robot mode looks pretty good, and a little paint will go a long way.
I really hope they dont screw up transformers one up. Im really hoping they use music from transformers prime.
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here and say that perhaps you SHOULDN'T get so attached to continuity. If they held continuity above all, I don't think we would have gotten 90s Beast Wars. The "TRUKK NOT MUNKY" people would have won, and Transformers would have slid into pop culture irrelevance. The longevity of the franchise is that it transforms. There is so much you can do with the basic premise of transforming sentient robots in a battle of good versus evil!
Yes, a willingness to experiment means not every experiment will work out. It's better than letting the Transformers go the way of many of their 80s contemporaries.
If we’re being honest, the 86 movie is deeply flawed. That said, it was also very creative and exciting. It treated the Transformers as characters rather than just props to be deployed for action scenes. There’s a lot it got wrong, but there’s a lot it got right too. I’d certainly watch it before putting on any of Bay’s movies.
Whatever the case, I can sort of see where Lorenzo is coming from. The 86 movie was dark, and it mercilessly killed off characters the audience had come to love just to push new toys. It also didn’t give Hot Rod an arc, making the ending feel forced and weaker than it should’ve been. Those flaws combined with the fact that it skewed younger than the audience for the live-action movies can put people off and make them wonder why the filmmakers made the decisions they did. It doesn’t make Lorenzo’s track record any better, but I can understand his perspective.
Turned off by the comments from the producer and the trailer is not good. I'll wait to hear reviews and then maybe go see it. I rarely partake in anything new be it shows, movies, or games because it has been almost all terrible.
I'm really annoyed at all the boomers and/or weirdos who are turned off by TF: One for the stupidest reasons. TF: One actually looks amazingly awesome! Its super cool, beautiful, and has alot of potential! And, the characters and humor look/are really cool and good (Humor, for the most part)! I'm only listening to the director cuz he actually sounds like he wants to tell a good story and create something special. Lorenzo really doesn't know want hes talking abt; its complete nonsense. I really can't wait to watch TF: One when it comes out! I have hope for TF: One cuz the trailer was a great first impression, and the last 2 movies (BBM & ROTB) we got were exceptional! They really were!
And, if Lorenzo thinks TTFTM was "dark" and a "downer" movie, then he never seen it. Its a cool, awesome, fun adventure with awesome characters; new and old. Yes, many characters unfortunately died, and it was really sad, but thats not really what the movie's abt. Its main story/plot is abt a young bot who goes on an adventure in space, on different planets; a journey to grow and become a great, new leader for his people, while also, with the help from his friends, destroy evil [hopefully] for good. I hope that makes sense. I bet Lorenzo only watched a couple of clips of some death scenes [from the movie].
Also, abt the figures, which I already stated my opinions on a later video: I really, really like Quake. Everything abt him is perfect! Yes, even the tankmode! And Slipstream is actually really good! She could _definitely_ be better, especially accuracy-wise, but at least shes a cool version of the character. Same with Chromia. Preferably, Slipstream would have practically her whole upper-body retooled (new head, chest, wings, forearms, shoulders), but as is, shes still really cool. I actually like the jetmode and think it works pretty well, albeit not the best, for her. Slipstream (& Chromia) and Quake are definite pick ups.
LEGO Bee looks awesome, when LEGO eventually makes Prime’s trailer they should add Huffer with it.
