Well to be fair, Jabbas sail barge is an 18+ set, hence why they are including slave leia because it’s not targeted for kids
That’s the thing, they do stuff like that behind an age rating but won’t make sets about Breaking Bad etc as an 18+ set 😭. I understand they wouldn’t want their company to be making stuff associated with drugs but still

@@J-146not just that, but they’re hesitant to make stuff with guns. Star Wars got a pass because it’s lazer guns, and fantasy. The founder was very anti-war, and group up in wartime europe. He didn’t like the idea of kids playing toy-soldiers, and I respect that.

It's nice how every year the UCS set comes out on my birthday(3rd). I usually stay at Disney so I always pick it up at their Lego store
I thought I had read somewhere that Leia won’t be referred to as slave Leia, but instead be referred to as Huttslayer Leia… hope so, and it would still be accurate.
I’m happy that the plans for the KT Astro fig didn’t get scrapped.
For this grown adult i have been anticipating and hoping for this Sail Barge for awhile now . I know its not but was hoping it is big which by the price it is likely just a bit bigger then then ones from the past which i already parted out , i need pics when released . To me bigger is better , just finished the Cavegod Sandcrawler and that thing is big and beautiful , 13,000 pieces 8 hours a day for two weeks . Lovin the channel Ryan , big fan .

AskMandR: Out of all the sets LEGO could possibly make for the 20th Anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, what do you think will be the best possible set? Also, do you think they will make a Jedi Temple UCS/Master Building Series set?
My only guess at the increase in price for a small UCS sail barge would be a motorized sale barge on some type of wheel arrangement, where the school kids could use it for the STEM Competitions!🤖

I hope the 3 and 3 on the anniversary is more like a battle pack to army build rebel troops than the original 55 dollar set is.

I feel like if the sail barge is only little bigger than the play set version, we will get some sort of terrain build to set the model on instead of the standard stand. If this is the case, it will probably also have a large hole in the terrain and open studs to place the sarlacc pit and desert skiff that are supposedly meant to pair with the set. Also the ucs plaque will probably be attached to the terrain build.

I think you're probably right on the stormtroopers and rebels set. I initially thought it screamed battle pack, but 383 pieces seems a bit high for a battle pack and I agree that it is probably an extension of the Tantive IV hallway.
Be cool for a jabbas palace patch but would they do it? Well guess my numbered limited cases for my 25th figs are going to need an upper fig box. Thanks for all the hard work and time you give us.

The Max Rebo patch will ensure the sail barge will be the best selling set of 2024
For ROTJ 30th anniversary there should be a UCS Jabba Palace with the complete characters that we saw in the movie and the entire Max Rebo band
The sail barge is about 24 inches long based on stud counting. They're clearly up selling the figs.
They can add a light pole in the slave Leia mech.
Bc I’m obsessed with Leia, I noticed in the Skywalker Saga that the Huttslayer Leia had dual-molded legs for the skirt instead of the print on flesh-colored legs. I’m hoping that’s what they’ll do with the figure.

in that same leak you were talking about, quite a few of the sets were actually much larger than they were in the leak, batman wall art, snow white cottage, and barad dur were considerably smaller and very different then what we got, since it's $500 i'm honestly expecting it to be minifig scale, since that should make it just a little shorter than the falcon
UCS Sail Barge looks to be very close to 30 studs longer than the last one. UCS is about 72 studs long if you're just counting the studs on the side. It's going to be slightly longer than 72 studs though if you go from tip to tip. I guess it depends, because the front side panels slant inward, shortening the length. So calculating actual length by studs won't be exact.

Yeah, it'll probably be a 300€ set with a 500€ price tag. And I have a BAD feeling regarding Slave-Leia...I have a feeling it'll be a censored version of the outfit. I'm almost willing to bet it'll be the version that's on the LEGO Skywalker Saga videogame model, where her skirt isn't a bikini with a long stripe of cloth on the front and on the back (as it is on the film) but rather printed all around as if it was an actual full-blown skirt.
If both price and this version of Leia are confirmed, it'll be a pass for me. Even if it's an OT UCS.
Me still waiting for a UCS U-Wing. I mean, I'd settle for another General Calrissian Minifig at this point

Again, I’ll probably get flak for this but I could not be less excited for this UCS set. So many other options they could’ve chosen but the Sail Barge is very bland and plain looking in my opinion. Not to mention it would be one you’d have to display with the interior exposed. That’s just weird to me.

Wish there were more Jabba Thugs in this set. It'd be a great way to get more aliens. The fact this one will have Klaatu and a Gamorrean only but the Skiff didn't come with a weequay or that red pants Klatoonian that gets eaten too. Would have looked cool to have them around, packing this scene that's so full of characters and chaos in the movie.
At least "Boba Fett's starship" Leia is making a comeback. You can't have the barge without her. People would riot and rightfully so.
I'll have to add my own when I display it, no longer regretting buying that boba fett throne set.
