  • "In the north, where the Manitoba Lowlands and Precambrian Shield meet, there is a river that runs wild. The Grass River plunges almost 12 metres through a series of falls and rapids known as Wekusko Falls. An area full of natural wonder and cultural heritage, the Wekusko Falls campground flanks the river. In the 1700s, this area was part of the Upper Track fur trade route, while the lure of gold brought people back to the area in the 1900s. Its presence is marked on the maps of great explorers like Samuel Hearne, its role critical to the history of the fur trade. Today, the park is visited by those seeking a true wilderness adventure or looking to get away from it all."

I enjoyed my visit to Wekusko Falls Provincial Park and the visit to the town of Snow Lake Manitoba. In Snow Lake Manitoba my wife and child went to the Snow Lake Motor Inn which has been in business since 1949. The food was awesome and the staff at the restaurant connected to the Inn were friendly and very awesome to talk to.
EDIT: I sat here a day after uploading this video thinking about how I do my best to showcase the different locations close to my home. I remember a moment last year when my mother was alive and she made this comment that stuck with me. My mother said "I'm glad you are able to capture these locations on film with your drone. I am unable to get to these places but for you to film them and create a video makes me feel as I am there and it means a lot to me". I enjoy exploring locations as much as I can. I enjoy going back to the spots that are my inspiration. I am by no means a professional photographer/videographer but I do my best and love what I do. Take care and I hope you all enjoyed the views of Wekusko Falls Provincial Park in early spring. :)

Very nice! I really enjoy low and slow flying over water like you did here. And the relaxing music made it all very pleasent. 😊 Have a great weekend, my friend!

Thank you my friend for watching and commenting. I liked the visit to the falls but my only wish is that next time I go I find a better time of day to fly. It was later in the afternoon but the sun was still very bright. I really need to work on ND filters for the little drone. :)

Hi Terry, I am glad you liked the video of Wekusko Falls. I did not find enough time to capture some of the Snow Lake community but I will in the Spring/Summer when it is a lot greener and not so much snow. :) Have a great day and thank you for commenting and watching my video.

I'm glad you liked it. :) For being about an hour and a half from my hometown I had never visited the park and falls until a few days ago. Sometimes the hidden gems are right in ones backyard. :) Thank you for watching and commenting my friend. Have a great weekend. :)
