While the RC controller gets lots of attention the N1 does allow you to use third party flying apps to take advantage of what developers do with the sdk which will get you things such as follow me and waypoints. The newest firmware update opened up to the same resolution as the 3 pro for picture mode. Not bad at all.
I have a the mavic 3 classic, got the mini 3 as well for when i travel to country with a lot of drone restrictions. I am really happy with the mini 3 as well, even having the quality of the mavic 3 classic.
This is the 3rd video I've watched from you and I like the new & fresh kind of your videos, you definitly bring fresh wind into the tech reviews! e.g. you have been the only one of only 2 youtubers who investigated into the wind noise problem of the new rode video mircro II, no other one has mentioned this problem... very well done! so continue, but only one recomandation: give your audiance a little bit of more hard facts and more concrete final conclusions and recomendations... your channel belongs now to my favorite sources of reviews for new equipment... great work, love it!

I love my mini 3. Glad you are not banging on about the pro. I keep away from structures. So obstacles are not an issue. Great camera. The remote with screen is fantastic. Also get the flymo with two extra batteries. So three in total. More than enough for a day out. Great drone. Loads of fun.
The mini 3 shoots 48mp raw files now of course ,since the firmware update a couple of months ago ,whichfor me is a game changer .I started off with a mini 2 se ,the 2.7k video was fine but the 12 mp stills were a bit under whelming.Just ordered a mini 3 and the larger raw filws along with the 1.7 lens as opposed to 2.8 makes it a no brainer at £340 drone only .I'll use my rc-n1 controller for now and get the rc with built in screen in a month or 2 ,it will be nice to not fiddle about with my phone .Nice video made me certain I'd made the right move .Cheers!

Great video Tamara & nice to see a female vlogger for a change in this area of tech. I'm receiving my mini 3 & smart controller in a few hours, it will be my fourth dji drone. I don't have the others anymore although I do really miss my air 2s maybe I will get another one day 😂
I just did a warranty swap/upgrade from the Mini 2 to the Mini 3: the RC N1 controller stopped charging, Currys don't do repairs, they just do a replace, but will always try to sell you an upgrade. I was ready to upgrade so here I am with a brand new Mini 3. One thing that is immediately noticeable with the new screen integrated controller is that it sucks battery like there's no tomorrow. Previously I did about 3 controller charges in the 6 months till the controller died. One evening out with the new one, and it sucked half the battery already, so I'll have to charge the controller every other time out. Though mind you it is now doing the work of the Mobile Phone with Fly App, as well as controlling the drone, plus the only download mode is wireless and that sucks battery too. Hoping this is a sufficiently good upgrade from the 2 to justify my not getting the Pro.
I have an original Mavic and Spark that I haven't flown in ages. I'm seriously considering getting a Mini 3 and getting back in the game. Great video. I can listen to UK women talking all day ❤ lol
Don't forget the PLUS battery that enables the Mini 3 to remain aloft for over 40 minutes. That is the primary reason I have a Mini 3 on order right now. The other reason I'm buying a Mini 3 is that DJI is about to release the SDK for the Mini 3 that will enable Litchi to give the Mini 3 "special powers" whereby it can fly waypoint missions far beyond the reach of the controller. Finally, it is great to see a young woman interested in drones. Makes such a nice change from all the nerdy guys who fly drones haha.

The only point I cannot agree on is the RC remote, while it is convenient and looks better in hand, the basic android performance it has compared to today's smartphone performances and the possibility to upgrade the screen as the years go by makes the controller + phone combo a better pic in my personal opinion.
Thank you Tamara, I have the DJI Mini 3 Pro and the DJI Mavic 3 Classic, but am still very much a beginner so your videos help very much. I was amazed how you had the courage just to pull up on the road side and film the church settings. I am not confident enough to do that yet - too many 'non-drone pilots complaining people' out there!....
When I first started flying maybe about 5 years ago or so, I was definitely very self-conscious. I had a bigger drone then (Phantom 3 Professional) so I had to go to fairly secluded places where there weren’t many people because of the drone rules, it was also very load, haha, but I think because I’ve had a few people come up to me quite curious rather than annoyed that I was flying, I got a lot more confident flying where more people could see me when I got the Mini 2, but now because I’ve flown a lot I’m not so bothered. I get a lot of looks haha, but most of the time people are just very curious and ask questions or ask to see what I can see, which I don’t mind. It also helps that the Mini 3 Pro is so quiet, when I fly the Avata, that’s a different story! 😆

I have the Mini 3 Pro and it is incredible. I shot a waterfall up so close that I expected to get it wet. I shoot 4k@24 fps 1/15 (with ND filter). My other channel has some great stuff from the Mini 3 Pro. So I would expect you could do as well with the new version.

On paper, yes, it's worth the upgrade. But from experience I couldn't say as I haven't personally used it the first gen Mini. However, I would say it's an upgrade from the Mini 2.

I’d say so as it’s easy to fly, but you have to be aware that there isn’t any obstacle avoidance so you’ll just have to be careful when flying close to things.
The mini 3 pro will most likely replace my phantom 3 pro in the near future lol. The longer flight times of these newer gimbals is definitely a plus! 👍🏾

I bought a DJI mini 3 RC because I thought I could use it without a cell phone, turns out that I need to download the DJI fly app into a cell phone to be able to use it properly . I don't have a cell phone so I had to return it, what a waste of time. I'm well pissed.

Always carry a power bank in your bag as any tech with a screen sucks batteries quickly.

They aren’t issues that I’ve noticed myself. The quality of the footage from the Pro is high quality when I shoot with it.

My mini 2 replaced my phantom 3. Phantom 3 is junk compared to even the mini 2
It’s just older, things have evolved since.
