Take early morning sunshine every day for vitamin D. Eat vegetables of different colours. Using paraben-free and fragrance free hair shampoo and gently massaging two times per week with hair oil from litttleextra cocooonion oil. One of my best friends: she bleaches her hair every month, does the keratin relaxer every other month, blowdries plus flatirons her hair after every wash. She’s done that for at least 5 years now. And she has the thickest and longest hair I’ve ever seen. Her hair is so thick, many people think she wears extensions. I do literally nothing to my hair and I don’t even have a quarter of her thickness. At some point you just start questioning life...

It's funny, my hair actually grew a lot thicker after I got my hair high-lifted. I had done literally nothing to my hair until 2016 (when I cut it mid length for the first time and it has never been long since), and it was the thinnest and unhealthiest hair, but when I started cutting it and adding highlights and then high-lift coloured it, it grew much thicker and healthier.

During the summer of 2018 i had hair that barely reached my shoulders. Now, in january 2021 my hair has reached my lower back!!
My hair used to be so thin and barely grew before i tried these tips❤️:
    - Braid your hair into pigtails before sleeping (to avoid breakage)
    - Take biotin and silica daily (this really kickstarted my hairgrowth, and i dont use it anymore - it truly worked for me!)
    - Be gentle and PATIENT and your fingers to work through knots and tangles.
    - Use a good hair oil and leave in conditioners after washing your hair (hair oil also helps to soften tight knots)
    - Rinse with cold water (i do it in the sink) after shampoo to close cuticles
    - Use hairties without those metal pieces on them
    - Spend time finding split ends and cut them off so the split doesn’t split any further and weaken the hair strand
    - Always try to avoid heat styling and blowdrying
    - Avoid too much stress and anxiety, as it fucks up your hormones (as mentioned in the video)
Hope your hair grows all the way down to your ass. Amen 😘

My hair is still pretty fine in texture, but it seems like theres just more hair follicles now 😅 my mom (now age 53) used to have many bald spots and thats caused her to have very, very thin hair now... when you’re 48 your body is most likely entering/or in the middle of menopause, so i’d definitely suggest you speak to your doctor about the hair loss ❤️ many women (40+) start losing hair due to hormonal changes. @@Hari-bz1mh yeah i LOVE Biosilk Silk therapy 😭 i bought a small 15 ml bottle that lasted me 2 months and i used it after washing ny hair, while its damp. You wanna apply hair products while your hair is damp because the hair cuticles will be opened and able to take in all the nutrients of the product ❤️ completely wet hair will not absorb oil because as we know, water and oil wont mix. biosilk can be super pricy and small bottles may be hard to find, so Revlon Uniq 1 (one) leave in is also amazing, same goes for Syoss beauty elixir. I’ve tried numerous oils during my hair growth journey, and these oils truly help SO much when it comes to detangling your hair with your fingers. Yes! Although I wanna site something. She mentions silk satin hair protectors and those are actually toxic to your skin it turns out and can lead to hair loss and skin damage. You can do further investigation if you’re curious about why this is exactly, but I’m sure that was something she threw in and wasn’t included in the text. I always assumed it was the best considering the silky material. I have about 5 feet of hair for example and I only use scrunchies, but I was using silk and satin hair covers, pillows, scrunchies until I recently experienced some really upsetting shedding.
Cotton is apparently better for the skin.

i’m a hairstylist and pretty much everything you said in this video is something that we learned in beauty school !! it makes me so happy to see that you put so much work and research into this video and that you’re not spewing the same things that every hair care brand tells everyone ! always remember that if you’re getting information from a company, they likely are not telling the whole truth because their end goal is SALES, not necessarily actually telling you what is best for your hair ❣️

My doctor recommended swimming for my back problems, and I would wet hair before going into the pool, cover hair with conditioner, place a lycra cap over my hair, and then a rubber cap over that. When I got out of the pool my hair was better conditioned than when I went in. You then immediately rinse your hair, wash it once and reapply conditioner.

YES, most of the time it’s just people talking about THEIR hair type, which is okay, but they never acknowledge that all hair is different, so they somehow expect us to get the same results which at times can be quite frustrating, especially for different people who may be new to hair care and don’t know any better. IE: when I first started hair care I washed it everyday and practically ripped out my curly locks because I thought that’s how it should be and I’m happy now that we’re able to just go to videos like this and get help, boy I wished I had this when I started my hair journey😃

I am a male aged 64 now and have long blonde hair about the same length as yours in this UA-cam video and light blonde . The age off my hair would be over 35 years and my beard over 20 years . I do like watching hair videos and listening to peoples hair journeys . Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more UA-cam videos on hair .

Fun fact, you can see end peak force with ribbons! They shed like crazy when you cut them straight across and stay perfect when cut on an angle. Similar to cutting fabric on a bias when sewing :D

Wow, after many years of looking for videos on UA-cam on how to grow long hair, I have finally found the absolute perfect video! Scientifically informative and makes so much more sense! And the comment at the end not to become overly obsessed with it! Really great, thanks so much!

This is actually pretty interesting. So many of these types of videos end up giving out inaccurate info, but this seems very straightforward and backed up by science and studies. My hair is about to hit classic length and I’ll hopefully hit thigh length sometime next year. It’s not quick though! My hair grows quicker than the average person and it still took me 4 years to get it down to my butt from a pixie cut !

I love the reminder to not compare your hair to others, and to take in all that information for when looking at products and doing stuff to your hair, but not to follow it strictly because that could very much negatively impact your wellbeing.
And if I could have my hair any length, I'd definitely want to have it Rapunzel's length. And if I could cut it short and magically grow it straight away again, that would be perfect. Oh, and I'd love to be able to dye it any colour without damaging it, too. Then I wouldn't need to buy wigs XD

I'm 60 and my hair is currently waist length. Helped by the pandemic and not wanting to hassle with it. Since I didn't really need to. So I've been doing a lot of these things that you suggest, unwittingly. I want my hair to be butt length and not thin on the ends. I have had one great hairdresser with long hair who was all about cutting my hair to keep it long. She worked for a Supercuts and now I'll probably never find her again. New subscriber.

my hair has big curls and they're shoulder length (AND i have an undercut) so i'm pretty ok but it still takes two hours so when i heard four i was like "that's... it???" like sis got ten times my hair and they complain about only four hours??

I like that you have long hair ...what tends to happen is folks with extremely short and broken hair be telling folks how to grow hair. I be like " really...my hair is healthier than yours...duh" but you walk the walk while talking the talk.

Thank you for your video! as someone who has indeed googled how to grow long hair, it's really nice to finally have someone who really did research :) I would also be interested in a video on shampoo bars and which is the best for hair growth. I tried using some brands wanting to help the environment and felt that they really ruined my hair
