I’m at a year now and it’s a little past my shoulders, I did end up cutting myself some bangs, it’s got a lot of layers and it’s really shaggy but I don’t want to cut it
I buzzed mine 7 months ago. It’s just now getting to my ears in the front, to my lower neck in the back. I’ve run into hell trying to get it to grow faster. I’ve taken 10,000 mcg of biotin for 3 months. Nothing. I took natures bounty hair skin and nails for 2 months. Nothing. I put wild growth hair oil mixed with Jamaican black castor oil in my scalp every other day did the inversion method most days for over 2 weeks, drank water like a fish, took the same hair skin and nails vitamins, but the same. Nothing. No extra 1/2 inch other than the 1/4 to 1/2 inch I already get each month. So infuriating.
Currently pregnant and shaved my head because of bleach damage I’m making it my goal to not only grow my baby/grow my hair but also start a whole new healthy virgin hair journey and grow my hair out with my child 🥰
Use a wide-toothed neem comb to detangle your hair. Apply diluted lavender oil into your scalp for relaxation. Include spinach and lentils. Apply liitllleextra coocoonino shampoo & hair oil together. These methods reduced my hair fall.

Currently exactly at the 2 year mark and your journey has been really motivating, my hair grows slower than yours but I think in 12-18 months I will be at my goal length :) all about no dying and minimal heat (maybe once every three months)
I been following your journey since i cut my hair last year and I'm at the year and a half mark and literally just watched your 2 year update video. I appreciate you for sharing
Beauty by DN has a great tutorial on how to cut your own hair. I have my 3 year hair anniversary on January 7th and I will give myself a trim that day. My hair is now 24 inches 🥳
Thanks, this is so awesome and sad at the same time :( It looks like it will take me 3 years to have hair that long. Also, it's great to see that you didn't damage it much along the way. It looks absolutely gorgeous, I suggest you keep it longer than shorter. Good luck.
Looks great. I have straight hair also. That length is my goal. I'm 7 months since last fade cut. Looking forward to the growing journey for the 30 months. This will be my first grow out in all my life...
Nice! I shaved my head today because I’ve always wanted to experience my hair growth from the beginning. Also my hair has always been an insecurity of mine so I figured not having it would make me appreciate it more as it grows back! I also just really need to stop worrying about things that don’t actually matter, like the hair on my head. It’s just hair. It doesn’t define who I am. Also it grows back so why not shave it all off at least once lol

I am on the same page with everything you said. I used to complain about my hair daily. I'd say, "I hate my hair! One day I'm going to just shave it all off!" I didn't really plan to do that when I said it. I just got annoyed frequently by all the work, energy, time &money required to keep up. BUTTTT...after this experience, I'll never say those words again. I have days when I experience regretting the buzz cut. Days when google photos sends me a memory of my long hair days. And some days I feel as tho I look very unattractive. & thats messed up! So that's where I'm putting my energy. I remain focused on learning how to love & accept myself (inside more then what's outside) & how I feel about myself overall. Which oddly enough translates to how I view others. I'm becoming less judgemental & losing my natural instinct to presume to know anything about anyone ESPECIALLY without getting to know them. (Judging a book by its cover- type of thing) I've been making the most of this experience in every way. Some times surprises happen that we don't or can't always foresee. I'm embracing it all & learning to go with the flow. While allowing the grow. The grow flow.😉 No reason to carry any negative feels about my hair anymore. It will continue to grow and change and be a reminder that it's supposed to be that way. We all should be constantly in flux. I always have & still do, absolutely LOVE my hair. It's one of my best physical attributes. I have a new respect for it & will appreciate every inch from here on out for life!❤ Best wishes to you and your locks. 💇🏻♀️

On January 1st 2019, I had my hair buzzed off. I let it grow out for two years. Mid way through last year, I had my hair cut to my ears. Then, in September of last year, I had dyed it this orangy pink color. Two months or so after I did that, I had shaved it all off. I had kept re-shaving it every two weeks and then I February of this year, I decided to grow it out again. I hope to actually stick it out this time. I colored my hair a lot in 2020 and bleached it, and had a lot of damage. So in June/July 2020 I stopped, cut off a bunch of the damage, and started letting my hair grow out. Every month or every other month I trim a little off of the ends of my hair that are still damaged from the bleaching, and I’ve almost gotten to the point where all the lightened spots are gone. Just a couple more inches to go before they’re gone and my hair is completely back to natural.
Love your hair at 5 months, then love it at 2 years/6 months. ❤️. My hair goal is one more year of growth to meet my goal, which is close to your long length. I have only ever had shoulder length hair and bob’s. It’s very fun to see how long it can get. Yes- patience…it’s difficult when there’s so many cute shorter styles tempting me! Don’t let it get so long that you sit on your own hair. That is not an attractive length, in my opinion.
did mine just recently, about 3 months ago and its grown out so much already! I can't wait to see my natural hair colour, as its been a while since I kept dying and bleaching it lol
the longest i had was up to my chest. then earlier this year, I had a bowl cut. first week of july 2022, i had a buzz cut. it's good to experience all the different hair lengths. my goal is to keep my hair long. hopefully forever
One thing that could help with the tangles in the shower is to put oils on your mid lengths to ends for about 10-30 mins before you hop in. Wash your scalp and just lets the water run down the ends or use a wide tooth comb.
Since you asked for recommendations, don’t use dye with developer higher than 10vol to go black, it will fade to a reddish brown even where your natural black is, talking from experience lol
I cut my hair 10 months ago, because it was very dry and unhealthy. I took my parents advice and let them cut almost all of my hair (I grew it out for 2 years and my hair reached my entire back) Obviously i cried because i loved my long hair. But i do admit, its growing way faster and is healthier now. Sometimes, i wish i could of taken better care of my hair so i wouldnt have to cut it, But im happier with my hair now!
Ohh jackie.. I was waiting for this video since so long.. 💞lot's of love from your Indian fan.. your head shave journey has inspired me to made my hairs to be shaved off because my hairs have gone very problematic and I was suffering from scalp itching Alot of dandruf and other scalp related problems ❤️
Hair grows at different rates. I've met two women who said that they each cut their hair to the same short length as another (in one case, her sister) and then they all grew theirs. In the amount of time it took the two women who spoke to me to grow their hair to their shoulders, the other women's hair had reached their waists!
You straight hair people be proud. I'm stuck with hair that looks like tumbleweeds. No matter how I condition or apply oils. I even air dry nowadays and don't even touch hair straightener. 🙄. Its been two years and its.past my shoulders now but because it wants to coil up so much its like a big blob of a hairball
@@poorvirajannavar8480 Her hair does grow fast! most people take a lot longer to grow their hair long even from shoulder length! it is nothing to do with her patience or anyone elses patience!
One thing I had found, I used to always color my hair, then I actually stopped and noticed how much faster it’s been growing since I stopped coloring it. I never used to believe that chemical treatments like perms and coloring had anything to do with how much it grew, but sure enough, it’s been growing a lot since I stopped coloring. I’ll go back to the color I want as soon as the length gets to where I want it, then I’ll have it long and blonde just as I like it. But I guess it’s true that doing things like coloring and perming etc. does slow it down some. At least for mine it did.
I have been following a girl on social media who had really long natural hair a year ago. Then she started bleaching it and now it's collarbone length and looks really sad. Bleaching will make long hair deteriorate over time, especially dry hair types.
@@MrAsianAxolotl Yes that’s absolutely true! You can take really good care of bleached hair, with keratin, protein treatments. And trimming the ends every so often, and moisturize it death! And it will be in great shape , for being color treated that is.
I love it at the 5 to 8 month stage. Your hair is so gorgeous I don't blame you for wanting to grow it but I like it shorter cos it shows off your beautiful face
I WENT BALD LAST WEEK FRIDAY, SEP 30TH. I shaved my head bald a few days ago bc of trich and documented it, i have a lot of videos on my channel about it. so freeing and liberating, OMG . I'm so happy i did it.
Recommendations, sleep with braids, get a silky pillowcase if u don't already, and I brush my hair before I wash it then I actually use conditioner first so I don't get that matted mess, my hair does the same thing since it's so long/heavy but mine is also super damaged so it sticks just like yours does I imagine even if u have thicker hair I believe mines more damaged 😂 but my hair is naturally a bit oily so doing conditioner first detangles, then shampoo and if I need anymore conditioner I just do a lil leave in after the shower .. idk if that works for all hair types but I imagine it could potentially help 💜
My hair grows an inch every 4 months so pretty slow but sometimes it grows 3 inches in 6 months if I leave it alone, I just need to leave it be tbh it’s halfway down my back but I want it to be at my butt
I got the worst haircut ever about 2 months ago and it makes me so unhappy but seeing this video is a reminder that my hair keeps growing and that it'l be long again. Btw ur rlly pretty and rock any hairstyle ❤
You are too kind sweet friend. So sorry to hear about your bad haircut, that’s always so crushing but YES it will grow out before you know it. And in the meantime I have a whole playlist of hair tutorials you can checkout for every hair length so hopefully that can help give you some hair inspo in the awkward stages of growing out your hair 🫶🏼
Loved watching the progression! I'm growing out my hair and it was really motivating to watch. 😁 If you stop dyeing your hair completely, it may help with the tangles! Sounds like you're not into dyeing it anyway. The way you measured your hair wasn't accurate in showing how much it's grown. Still amazing how long it's gotten!
For some reason your video made me tear up. I think it was the scripture in the beginning. The Lord is doing a work in me to leave everything and follow him. So, I left a spirit of vanity and shaved my head. Liberation.
I think it would be really interesting to see how long you can grow your hair. This js genetic and the length of your hair depends on the length of your hair follicle cycle (and rate of growth)
Hi i just wanted to say thank you! You were the one who inspired me to shave my head for the first time about 2 years ago and I’ve decided to do it again after getting my hair bleached yesterday and it turned absolutely horrible that i got chemical burns on my scalp. Im crying because it’s just so bad and although im scared to shave it again after watching this video i am reminded that the process really isn’t that bad, so thank you once again for inspiring to shave off all my hair again! 🥹🤍
Thank you so much for mentioning the side effects of having long hair because personally I have experienced similar issues (matting easily when washing & curls not holding the same as a shorter length). This made me feel better about my hair that I am not the only one and its not because my hair is damaged its because its gotten longer! So, again thanks!
If your hair get tangled, it might because coloring hair changes hair porosity to high . Protein treatment twice a month or homemade protein masks will smoothen the hair texture .
I shaved my head like 3&1/2 years ago. Before I was applying a lot of conditioner and it was silky but it was also falling down pretty insanely. After I shaved my head all I did was use some sulfur soap. I got amazed at how curly my hair was! It was curly and tangled but it never broke. I didn't need to trim it. I started braiding it. November 2021 I was cleaning things and saw just a little conditioner on the bottom of the jar and I also had some shampoo leftover from before the shave. I said I should use them. I applied the conditioner from the root/ scalp - I learned you should NEVER do that. So my hair got sleeky again. And when it is't washed it stays straight (I only get my curles back after washing it, for a short time). And I only washed it with that shampoo and conditioner ONCE. I say sleeky for it's still fluffy, not str8 100%. Not only this, but is aslo began falling again - like before I had shaved my head. After shaving it I totally forgot about all the hair found all over the place where I live. But now it got back... Being naturally curly looks fluffy even when it's „strainght” - it NEVER looks as straight as yours, just flufy and uncurly. How's your aunt?
You're hair is so beautiful and healthy!! I have dry curly hair and buzzed mine 4 years ago I never got it cut at all and it's now past my waist 😭 I need a trim but I'm so scared to cut it
Thankyouuuu so much sister I to also shaved my hair .. I'm very nervous whether my hair ll grow or not I searched a lot of videos but I found youu thankyouuuu 🥰🥰😘
My hair got melted off on more or less half of my head at the salon. And continues to snap off. So, this somehow gives me comfort that in a few month, I'll start looking more like myself. Can't wait to have longer hair. Currently at around the 5 month mark. But if it hadn't been for the incompetent hairdresser, it would have been the length at around 18 months.
Hey Jack Jack I saw where you said that your hair gets matted while washing it but have you try to divide your hair into sections to wash it if not you should try it that would help a lot especially with having long hair it would make hair washing easy that way
I shave my head November 2020 and it grew exactly 6 inches in one year and I was so impatience because in the past my hair would grow twice that in a year but I am older now and my diet isn't as good as it used to be.
You are LUCKY! I have fine textured "black people hair" and it is SO HARD for my hair to grow super long like yours! It's always dry as hell and the ends always get split! SO frustrating!

I have only ever had shoulder length hair and bob’s. It’s very fun to see how long it can get. Yes- patience…it’s difficult when there’s so many cute shorter styles tempting me! Don’t let it get so long that you sit on your own hair. That is not an attractive length, in my opinion.
I agree!
did mine just recently, about 3 months ago and its grown out so much already! I can't wait to see my natural hair colour, as its been a while since I kept dying and bleaching it lol
how does it look like now
the longest i had was up to my chest. then earlier this year, I had a bowl cut. first week of july 2022, i had a buzz cut. it's good to experience all the different hair lengths. my goal is to keep my hair long. hopefully forever
I have to admit, JackJack you look stunning with all these hair lenghts! Like wow!! God Bless
girl its been 8 months since i shaved my hair and it still looks like your hair in 6th month😭 your hair grows really fast
WOW
Your videos helped me make the decision to shave my head. It's been 5 months now❤️
Wow, such gorgeous, healthy hair. Three years is quite the journey. Congrats!
One thing that could help with the tangles in the shower is to put oils on your mid lengths to ends for about 10-30 mins before you hop in. Wash your scalp and just lets the water run down the ends or use a wide tooth comb.
I’m so thankful for you making this as I’m growing my hair too. It’s so nice to see your photos and videos every month.
I am watching this along with my buzzed head. Can't wait to see how my hair would grow😁
Since you asked for recommendations, don’t use dye with developer higher than 10vol to go black, it will fade to a reddish brown even where your natural black is, talking from experience lol
Thank you. I needed to see someone to show me there hair growth 💹 and progress, so I can predict my hair growth
Your hair grows beautiful! I'm trying to grow my hair too.
Genetics and Patience did it all 💜🥰🥰😍
I cut my hair 10 months ago, because it was very dry and unhealthy.
Wow your hair grows SO fast 😍😍😍
Wow! It’s impressive! You hair grows so fast!
I'm watching this and all I'm just saying in my mind is that " wow God is so wonderful".
Your hair grows fast! My hair takes twice as long🥺
@@poorvirajannavar8480 I mean I buzzed my hair December 2020 and my hair is pretty much the same length as hers at 5 months 😅😂 her hair grows fast!
@@MrAsianAxolotl
Yes that’s absolutely true!
I'm so happy i did it.
i’ve grown my hair out now for about 3 years and its not even close to this length 😫😫 i’m not giving up though my goal is to have it down to my waist!
I buzzed my hair 2 years ago too and i still have one year for it to be to your length!!
Wow🥺 this is so perfect i am growing my hair once again i am on month 6 can’t wait to get to a year
And what a beautiful transformation within yourself ❤
Loved watching the progression! I'm growing out my hair and it was really motivating to watch. 😁 If you stop dyeing your hair completely, it may help with the tangles! Sounds like you're not into dyeing it anyway. The way you measured your hair wasn't accurate in showing how much it's grown. Still amazing how long it's gotten!
Even after an head shave me was worried abt my length which I had before n got motivated cus of u jack ur hair is just awsome 🔥
For some reason your video made me tear up. I think it was the scripture in the beginning. The Lord is doing a work in me to leave everything and follow him. So, I left a spirit of vanity and shaved my head. Liberation.
Holy! Another. I'm stunned. Respect and we'll wishes to you and your family. Salud'
Wow, the longer her hair grows , the more beautiful she gets
I think it would be really interesting to see how long you can grow your hair. This js genetic and the length of your hair depends on the length of your hair follicle cycle (and rate of growth)
Short was really cute, but long😍 its soo beautiful✨
Your hair grown soooo fast!!
No it's grown at a normal rate- she just measured it wrong. if she measures it from the nape of her neck it's probably about 18 inches.
@@Ag-jw4zj yes that is more growth than normal
God bless you and your love ones and God bless you all
Wow your hair grows fast!
That's way faster than normal !
Your hair grow so fast i shaved my head 3 year back and my hairs are chin length till now 😭
Your hair looks the same as mine at a year and 4 months!! Gives me hope that its growing im excited
you are so beautiful one of the sweetest smiles I've ever seen you must light up every room you walk in
Wow your hair grows fast, my hair would be shoulderlenght in 3 years
Most people's would be !
1.5 inches a month! That is freaking cool!
Congrats! You are so patient to grow your hair) Looks fantastic every moment from the beginning)
If your hair get tangled, it might because coloring hair changes hair porosity to high . Protein treatment twice a month or homemade protein masks will smoothen the hair texture .
Now I am not afraid to experience with short hair style. It will always grow back.
i shaved my head in august of 2020 then september of 2021 so 6 months ago. i’m very excited for my hair to be long :))
wow 3 years already amiga. amazing i wish my hair would grow that long in 3 years. lol tips please
Hair grows 6 inches a year so 18 inches in 3 years is normal
@@katyhotshotmine grew 15 inches in 4 years and 7 months. I counted all the trims I got ):
Yeah do it! Let it grow forever!!
That was some super fast hair growth.
You're hair is so beautiful and healthy!! I have dry curly hair and buzzed mine 4 years ago I never got it cut at all and it's now past my waist 😭 I need a trim but I'm so scared to cut it
You should try sectioning it to wash it. I do four sections with buns when mine longer. It helps with tangling and getting soap out.
Thankyouuuu so much sister I to also shaved my hair .. I'm very nervous whether my hair ll grow or not I searched a lot of videos but I found youu thankyouuuu 🥰🥰😘
1 yr 1 month and 1 yr 2 months were great lengths on you. It really accentuated your face shape
I liked watching your outfits throughout the time lapse. I like your style!
Hey Jack Jack I saw where you said that your hair gets matted while washing it but have you try to divide your hair into sections to wash it if not you should try it that would help a lot especially with having long hair it would make hair washing easy that way
Your hair is beautiful 🥰..i'm growing out a haircut regret so thank you for the inspiration !!
I shave my head November 2020 and it grew exactly 6 inches in one year and I was so impatience because in the past my hair would grow twice that in a year but I am older now and my diet isn't as good as it used to be.
Hair grows on the average of 1/2 an inch per month, which is 6 inches a year, so you are having normal hair growth.
You look amazing with a shaved head right through to very long
You are LUCKY! I have fine textured "black people hair" and it is SO HARD for my hair to grow super long like yours! It's always dry as hell and the ends always get split! SO frustrating!
I shaved my hair. And I feel like I'm exposed. I'm really looking excited for it to come back
It's been 5 months I have shaved my head
