- Due to the full, country-by-country split results not being released, I have shown the points/rankings in two blocks.
A recreation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 voting using the new format introduced by SVT for the 2016 contest. With this format, two sets of points are given out; the jury and the televoting.

It was so annoying how they didn't release the full split results this year points-wise. Interesting how the top-10 remains largely unaffected, with Belgium significantly dropping down the board and Ireland leaping from last to 21st.

So in conclusion
- the winner doesn’t change
- Italy dropped from the 7th to the 9th place
- Germany is 22nd
- Iceland 14th
- Norway is still 4th
- and Sweden is 11th

With the system 2015 Ireland was 26th, but with the system 2016 Ireland is in 21st.
I felt really sorry for Ireland in 2013 as Spain did worse in both the televote and the jury vote and yet they were still higher than Ireland
@@ESCMattUK88 I was just looking at that, kind of wacky to me that a song could come 14th in the public televote and then 23rd in the jury vote and then come last. (I guess that's why they changed the voting system!)

Wait. So how the actual fuck did Ireland come 21st with the Jury and 14th with the televote but somehow came 26th in the real thing
To put it simply: the mixed voting that was one set of 1-8, 10, 12.
The mixed voting back then really messed with placements. I'm not a fan of the juries, but the split system makes the placings much more accurate.

Put it simply: they never revealed the points but what the averages were. They have said that due to the rules of the contest at that time, they will never be released because it breaks the rules of the contest then. Why they can't just release them, I don't know. It's not like the results will change.

An entry that gets votes from televoting (Million of voters) is never overrated !! -_-
San Marino should've qualified from the Semis this year. Greece stole their spot. Greece received the Curse of San Marino and since 2013 has yet to place in the Top 18.

Great video, but I would suggest if you do another video like this one to add the two percentages together and divide them by 2 finding the average of the two percentages.

This is a projection of the points each country would have recieved according to the new system, on basis of the pourcentage and average rank we got.
Everything is ok, but you made a mistake in placing the countries from 14th to 18th place. So, Belgium should be 14th not 16th, Iceland 15th instead of 14th, Georgia 16th, UK 17th and finally Armenia on 18th place.
How so?
TOMMY Let's take a look. Romania is 13th with an average score of 25.31. Then we have Iceland with 26.49 followed by Armenia with 29.55. Next is Belgium with 25.95, Georgia with 29.18, UK 29.49, Belarus 30.26... And that's why.

Tommy O'Donnell look at 4:04 at Armenia and Belgium. Armenia has 29.55 and it higher that Belgium, who has 25.95.?!?!? And also look at Georgia. It has 29.18!!!

Every country (juries+televote) put all the countries in an order from their favorite till their least favorite. This numbers are the averages of televoting and juries for each country. The only thing he does is to add and fin the country with lowest one (that is the winner)

Germany 10.00 in televote= The medium of the position that have Germany is 10.00 in televote
Germany 20.00 in televote= The medium of the position that have Germany is 20.00 in jury

Rrr Hhh No we can't. Ant this number doesn't reflect the real positions. Let's take for example
Belgium and Romania. If Belgium has 16.00 and Romania 17.00 it's obvious that Belgium is higher than Romania. But, what if Belgium was 14-18 in every televote country (the average would be around 16) they have 0 points in the real contest. And Romania receives 12 from Moldova, 12 from Italy , 10 from Spain and the rest of the countries put it last (the average will be around 17), but they will have 34 points. So even if Belgium is higher than Romania, in the real contest they would have less points. This was just an example, I didn't use real numbers. So, we can't convert this number into points.

well i guess in the nearby future: say 2025-2026 they might change the lenghth of the songs, Let's say instead of 3 minutes to five minutes. This would be a perfect voting system for that. Longer songs, perhaps more time with props being removed due to only longer postcards probably. Longer better Interval Acts. Who knows? Tho i have to say this system kinda confuses the HELL out of me. We would only have a voting segment in ten minutes. Tho that means, No more good evening europe! No more Douze Points, No more excitement between how large the gap is between the countries with POINTS. Just the host announcing the results and we have already a winner. It might just happen... you never know.
