New system might provide a more exciting show, but it completely disregards who the televote believed in. In this case, no one remembered Italy getting 2nd or Russia getting 3rd (or acknowledging San Marino getting 10th in televote), and definitely not Norway being Europe's favourite of the night. If public’s favourite one is also one of juries’ fav, then in the old system, it would still be exiting. So it’s hard to tell which one is better based on just a single year. But I agree that entries received top televote should be easily known by the audience.
They also did North Macedonia dirty. Thanks to the stupid mistake in the voting, they didn’t get their jury winner moment and that’s something that won’t probably happen again to them in a long time.

The new system does bring excitement, but the public winner is lost in the blink of an eye. Televoters do want to see the ones they voted the most. This is why I still prefer the old 2016 type of announcement - each winner (jury, televote) gets known equally.
EBU was lucky that this year the system they used this year was the only one that would make it exciting... the 2012+ system NL would have even won with higher margin. the 2016(in this video) Norway must have gotten 450+ points(which is almost impossible). So good for them :P

In the old system presentation begins with country which gets the lowest number of points from televoting, no matter how much points it has from the juries. In the new system announcing begins with the country which is last after jury voting.
