After a certain point, when you're able to comfortably reach to 30+ reps in each position and not even feel the burn, adding resistance is the ONLY way this would work :)
Fairly low impact even for beginners, so you could start with the classic, 2-3 sets, 3-5 times/week (maybe rest 2 days in a row as a beginner, if you're sore)
Even a light resistance band could help you don't have to go Too crazy with adding heavy ankle weighs unless they're like 2 pounds or a light resistance band this is assuming that you're a beginner.
