1.) The stock exhaust looks perfect with the bodywork… the sound can be improved on with an aftermarket system, but you sacrifice cohesive looks with the bodywork…
2.) The quick shifter is perfect if you use it correctly (higher revs/in acceleration)
3.) The cruise control is golden once you get used to it.
4.) There is absolutely nothing wrong with the looks of this bike; best looking middleweight naked available
Agree, the stock exhaust probably does fit the bodywork of the bike, but looks are subjective. The quick shifter is good but not as good as the one on the Triumph Street Triple or BMW M1000R. Yes the cruise control works really well, I just think the toggle didn’t feel as study as I’d like, it’s the same one the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandelo, same issue. Thanks for watching and happy to hear you like your bike, all up it is a wonderful bike.
Nice one, this channel is going places! 😉
Thanks mate, we hope so!
Great review. I am a proud and happy owner of this amazing machine. It makes me happy every time I ride it. I would not change it for any other bike of its class.
The bike is pure joy.
They certainly are a whole heap of fun to ride
Thank you very much for this informative presentation of this wonderful machine.
Glad you liked it!
Great review from you two! Great engine. 100HP is in my opinion a sweet spot.
An Italian bike with a good turning circle is novel and welcoming. Ha!
Definitely a nice gamut of electronics, but like Tegan, I'd barely use them.
Those pilling footpads are futile with a "seat" like that.
Watching the video, the cheapness for me is those stickers. They look like they were applied while they were pushing them onto the ship.
Aprillias are always fun to ride. Yum yum!
Cheers man, I’d reckon you’d love it
A very solid review. I really think Aprila has a jit with this bike. Great job!
Thanks man, really enjoyed this bike.
picking mine up in early march :)
Nice one, it’s a wonderfully fun bike to ride
Great review. I’ve owned this bike for a few months now and agree all comments made are fair and a good summary. The quick shifter is a bit glitchy 1-2, 2-3 about town in dynamic. My gripe at the moment as I try to kit it out for weekend trips? Even though there is a great cargo or luggage plate standard, once you remove the pillion seat/rear cowl to use it actually unlocks the riders seat to flop around. There is an Aprilia part to fix the problem but you can’t actually buy it anywhere in Australia or internationally currently. Otherwise great bike and enjoying. Cheers
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. Good to hear from someone who owns one mostly agrees with our assessment. That’s odd about the rear cowl / riders seat issue
From someone who hasn't ridden since about 1987, and then on a BMW R1000RT down to the south of France, I really think this a great 'new' entry bike for me at 55yo.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 would make a great way to get back into motorcycling, just take it easy as it can be a bit of a weapon.
When I hit the Age Wall, I’m definitely switching to a middleweight ‘hyper naked’ like the Tuono 660
I own the RS660 version of this - I think I would've preferred the Tuono Factory for the street riding.
I haven’t ridden the RS660 but the Tuono is an absolute scream to ride
Love mine.
So you should, great bike
Bellissimo ❤👌
Thought you’d like this one.
The tech on the Aprilia’s is some of the best I have ever sampled (on the Tuareg). If it is the same on the Tuono, it would be money well spent.
Yes, agree, amazing tech. The only bikes with better tech that I’ve ridden are the BMW M1000R and S1000RR
That chain looks very loose ?
What is the gadget that appears and disappears on the left handlebar ?
Chain was fine, might just be camera angle. The gadget is a Beeline Moto, it’s a navigation unit that we sell
@@BikerTorque Ok, chain looked like it was flexing a lot, Not come across nav device, I will look it up.

hi, i have 5.4feet(164cm), my question is, it's fine to do long travel's with my height, Or will my back be too lean?
Best bet, take one for a test ride
I love my factory
So you should, they are a wonderful bike. Enjoy and thanks for watching.
How would you compare this to the KTM duke 890r? Maybe the Aprilia looks better but that KTM is an absolute machine. Would love to see those 2 compared. Can't decide between a 660, 890r and the street triple RS. Help me decide lol
Haven’t ridden the KTM but can say that the Street Triple RS is an absolute weapon, it would be my pick over the Aprilia.
@@BikerTorque thx. The KTM is a little sharper compared to the street triple and has more torque. The biggest difference is on the finish of the bike but i can look past that.
Tuono é mais rápida
No problem to get 300 km pr tank
Display is better when turned on to dark mode
Didn’t mind either mode, just that some of the text was too small for me to read, but really no big issue. We weren’t getting anywhere near 300kms to a tank, but we were also having some fun with it so not surprising. Thanks for watching.
Check...on mine
Mmmmm Cruise control. I do hope to have it on a bike some day.
Mmmmm, nouns.
@@BikerTorque hahahahahaha
Duke 790 look plastic😜not Tuono✊🔥
Agree the Duke does look plastic
Can't ever get an aprilia. It's a proper noun. Should be Aprilia.
You have a problem with proper nouns Chewie?
@@BikerTorque I’m very proper, as you know.
@@hachewie very indeed
Looks are very subjective.
Couldn’t agree more
