I'm so happy to have found your video! I have 2, four month old Juliana piglets that we had castrated 2 weeks ago. They have been testing us with mainly nipping behaviour. One more so than the other. I will definitely be trying the positive reinforcement techniques ❤

Hi Autumn! Our 5 month old pig isnt agressive but he is a pain in the ass when he's 'semi-alone'. I work from home and my desk is upstairs. Whenever i'm working and he's downstairs he really acts out (screaming, tipping over his drinking bowl, throwing with his puppy-trainer, peeing next to it just to piss me off,...) Whenever i'm with him he's the sweetest but i can't work downstairs or stay downstairs all the time. Any tips?
This is very common for pigs that aren’t taught to be content on their own from a young age. It’s so annoying to have a pig that is super attached to you. Take anything she uses to be annoying. Also, reward her when she is good and quiet. Do not respond at all besides taking away things when she is a brat. No food, no attention at all. Don’t yell or scold. When she is being good and quiet, give her treat balls, Whimzees or licki mats - something to keep her busy. It will take consistency but she will get it.
Just am wondering why my pig aka ( mis peaches ) respects me and does what ever I want her to do and she goes after my girlfriend and is aggressive towards her no matter what she does I would like to know some tip on how to control this situation
Your pig does this because they are herd animals. You are her herd and she is protecting you. She also may be jealous and want you all to herself. Have your girl friend start building a bond and trust with her. Pigs know their family by their smell so you could also give your pig one of your girl friends old shirts to sleep with. I have tons of tips in my podcast, courses, groups and guides!! I also offer consultations to help you work out a plan. stan.store/autumnacresminipetpigs
my last pig was a piglet that my wife and I rescued bc it was injured and we nursed it to health and a year later he died bc his epilepsy was so bad. we were devastated and as time went on we bought another piglet and he is a psycho pig that needs some serious intervention so thanks
I got mines yesterday and he'll be calm for a little while than he'll get really hyper and aggresive , sometimes i'll pop him on the butt and yell no and he stops but for about 5 minutes than he's back to chasing me lol
Interesting. I’d love to do a consultation with you. Bossy behavior is nothing to mess with. It needs to be handled correctly so it stops. Email me if you’re interested. Autumnacresminipetpigs@gmail.com
Adopted an adult female, she was well treated, but I don't know her whole story. I had to herd her through the house to get to the backyard and she wasn't happy about that. After that, I was very physically affectionate and she accepted that, but made those "go away" sounds. I've had pet pigs for 10 years and never had a bad one, sometimes adopted adults take longer than piglets to bond with. We (the pigs and I) maintain a clean sleeping area with Tractor Supply Stall matts and a generous supply of second hand heavy duty couch pillows and comforters. I need to have a "wrap my legs around smoochie snout kisses" relationship with a pig. I'm also married to a beautiful wife who is much younger and I fool around on the side, but it's my piggies that I long for.
I got a popbellly pig you can feed him but once you get the pin with him he gets real aggressive and chase you and try to hurt you..but the mom pig is gentle and real sweet.yeah not a friendly pig
My mini pig is one and he’s doing this more regularly now but he has a behavioral issue with peeing outside his litter box if not getting his way. For example if I don’t want him out of his room at the moment he’ll knock his litter box and pee. Any suggestions on what to do??
I would love to do a consultation with you. I have more questions that will help me get to the bottom of the issue. Let me know if you would like to schedule one.

I have tons of tips!! Try sitting down and letting your piglet climb in your lap. After a minute, hold him/her securely and stand up. Scratch her side and hold his/her feet securely to keep them calm.
My pig doesn’t bite at us he does sometimes do the head swipe but our biggest issue is the yelling he is constantly yelling at us. We have tried move the pig and he does back away but he yells while backing away. Any tips to correct the constant yelling?
I have so many questions. It could be stress or fear or it could be that he has a very strong Top Hog instinct. I would love to do a consultation to help you get to the bottom of it.
Hi!! I have a piggy too and he is super aggressive with my partner and any guests that come to the house. I have tried to help fix it but I don’t think i’ve helped with much change. Could I maybe get some advice?

also she bites and intimidates a lot inside especially near her bed, and doesnt walk far from it often, but when we are outside even tho she resist she never bites or attacks just complaines, even if I touch or grab her snout
Watching this video I’m realizing my mini pig never learned to come over when shes called lol I’m watching the video as I’m typing the more I hear the more I realize my princess thinks she’s the boss lol she does head swipe when I get in her personal space and I just move she also learned how to open the fridge about a month ago and that’s a huge issue she drops the trash too Wait so does that mean she’s aggressive?
That means that she is bossy and it is likely to get worse. It’s important to get a handle on it now. Please let me know if you’d like some help. I offer consultations via Zoom. They are $65.
I am struggling with my pet pig. He is a year and a half and living in a small town makes it difficult to get him fixed (the vet cancels appointments on me). Is there a step by step guide. For example, day one: five minutes do...
Jamilla Bailey hi. He definitely needs fixed. He is acting out because of all that testosterone surging through his body. It’s extremely frustrating and difficult to fix behavior problems when his hormones are controlling his actions. Your comment cut off. Try emailing me: autumnacresminipetpigs@gmail.con
I don't know why people call them mini pigs they don't stay little and when there adults they can knock you on your ass there full of muscle and fat my freinds freind had a potbelly pig that weights 50 pounds my friends friend weights 188 and that pig threw him like a rag doll and he needed 13 stitches from the pigs bite they can be incredibly dangerous
You’re so right! Even a 50 pound pig is extremely strong and intimidating. Many people don’t realize that the term “mini” is not a breed. It is a classification. And it means that they are smaller than a farm hog. Mini means less than 300 pounds. You’re right, they don’t stay tiny - and if they do, they are very unhealthy because they have been starved and/or inbred to keep them small. Small pigs only live about 2-3 years. There are NO teacup pigs.

I emailed you with how to handle this.
How do your correct them peeing on the floor
It depends on why they are peeing on the floor. Have you watched my videos on potty training? If so and you still can’t dignity out, I would love to do a consultation with me. I just need more information to help you figure it out.
HI Thank kyou so much. My son came home with a potbelly pig who is now 12 weeks I am trying to litter train but he eats the pans what can i do? is it ok to still feed the formula supplement he really enjoys it with some corn chex or cherios
Hi Jennifer. Congratulations on your new piglet!! At 12 weeks, he should be on pig pellets. The pellets have the nutritive needs at this age. The pellets will also keep him full longer. Try dropping pellets in the formula and slowly increasing them until it’s all pellets covered by water.
I’m sure you have no clue where to start with caring for this little guy. I have some courses that can really help. I also offer consultations via Zoom. Let me know if I can help!!

Awsome talk!
Thank you!!
My pig is mounting alotttt it has a stench its baaad he listens hes not too aggressive but my question is can they be mounting when they are castrated
How long ago was he castrated? It can take 6 weeks for their hormone levels to balance out. In that time, they will continue to mount and smell bad.
is 10 months too old to start?
I have my first pig he is a 4 week kunekune he is the sweetest thing ever.. he was actually one from our own litter.. but my problem is he keeps trying to bite or nip how do I stop this behavior
I would love to do a consultation. I need a little more back ground information to know exactly how to handle it. I charge $65 for a 1 hour session. Please email me to set it up.

Is there nothing you can do to fix the aggression while there in heat besides getting em spayed? My mini pig is almost 9 months and she’s normally really sweet but when she’s in heat she acts up but it’s too late to get her spayed.
Too late to get her spayed? I have a three year old pig I am getting spayed.
There is no way to out train hormones. She needs spayed by a knowledgeable vet.
Hello, my pig is 3 years old, so it’s pretty big. Sometimes, when I am petting him, he just turns really fast to my hand and try to bite it and then starts running away. He goes from 0 to 100 in a second. Also, every time you approach, when walking directly to it, he starts growling, and if you step too close, he bites you on the foot or leg and run away. I need help
This is common for a pig that has worked its way up to the top of the herd. I offer consultations if you are interested. Its way too much to write in a message.
@@autumnacresminipetpigs How can I get more info on this? :) Thanks!

Hi Autumn!
Our 5 month old pig isnt agressive but he is a pain in the ass when he's 'semi-alone'. I work from home and my desk is upstairs. Whenever i'm working and he's downstairs he really acts out (screaming, tipping over his drinking bowl, throwing with his puppy-trainer, peeing next to it just to piss me off,...)
Whenever i'm with him he's the sweetest but i can't work downstairs or stay downstairs all the time.
What age they start getting those “ hormones “ ? Thank you 🙏🏻
They begin very young, around 4 months for females. Males are sooner, around 2 months.

I also offer consultations to help you work out a plan.

my last pig was a piglet that my wife and I rescued bc it was injured and we nursed it to health and a year later he died bc his epilepsy was so bad. we were devastated and as time went on we bought another piglet and he is a psycho pig that needs some serious intervention so thanks
I have worked with many piglets like this. Please let me know if I can help!! If you’re interested, I can let you know what services I provide.

I'm also married to a beautiful wife who is much younger and I fool around on the side, but it's my piggies that I long for.
fool around on the side????
I got a popbellly pig you can feed him but once you get the pin with him he gets real aggressive and chase you and try to hurt you..but the mom pig is gentle and real sweet.yeah not a friendly pig
This is very common. Pigs have to trust you to be nice to you. If you need help with this, let me know. I have lots of tips to build trust with a pig.
Hi! Whenever i try and pick up my pig it Scream Do you have any tips ?
I know that they Dont like to be picked up but i want my pig to not be Screaming every time
I have tons of tips!!
Try sitting down and letting your piglet climb in your lap. After a minute, hold him/her securely and stand up. Scratch her side and hold his/her feet securely to keep them calm.
We have a slightly aggressive pig, he’s almost 6 months, would you still consider that a young pig
Yes. Six months old is still very young.
There could be several different things going on. I would love to do a consultation with you. It will help me get to the bottom of why this is happening and give you the tools to fix it. Check out what is involved on my website under Rates and Services.

I think my pig is blind and that might be reason she resists directions and goesbwhere i want hesitantly and rebels a lot.
also she bites and intimidates a lot inside especially near her bed, and doesnt walk far from it often, but when we are outside even tho she resist she never bites or attacks just complaines, even if I touch or grab her snout
It’s possible. Pigs don’t have great eye sights to begin with.
(Or has behavior issues)
The absolute and final solution of this problem is putting it on the grill and having a great time, o.k. ??
@@autumnacresminipetpigs yes very true but anyway keep up the good education videos for people who want a potbelly pig 😃👍
