Linnea, I have to tell you. I have been following and watching you grow from the very beginning. I am a widow, my husband passed 8 years ago and I have kids your age. I have heard stories of your dad and I see my kids in you and the way you speak of him. But I never had the urge to message or comment on your videos till now! After watching this video, I couldn’t help but feel this sense of pride in you and how proud I’m SURE your dad is of you. Not for the UA-cam channel, money, or whatever you accomplish professionally but because of the young woman you have become! For having an innate the sense of self, the courage to discover who you are and the determination to be a better you! The moment when you finished your fence and lifted up your hands with gratitude and pride just made me smile and filled me with pride as if I was looking at my own kids! My kids always wonder what their dad would say to them in particular in certain times in their lives and I can imagine you feel the same way. So I just wanted to tell you! He’s proud of you for being true to you and being courageous enough to not give up and go on ! ❤ Keep it up sweetie!!!!
@@leticiamorales4372 that is what Life is really all about, the sparkling waters of the great goodness in Living and Loving Life. Wonderful message, your words.
Oh wow. I lost my mom at 18 and I wonder about this all the time. What a gift you gave her. I hope she sees this comment ❤❤❤ Also, sending you so much love!
AMEN🙏🙏🙏
Hello Linnea. I'm a new viewer and just came across your video. I don't know what happened to you to to need a therapist. Please don't be upset if I asked you why. When I was younger, I drove a big rig cross country. My therapist was the open road and being one with God's beautiful country, AMERICA. THERE'S no better therapy than that. I've been trying to convince my wife to get rid of all the garbage. Or put it all in storage. I'm 70 now, and somewhat disabled, So having an RV and traveling this land again is my dream now. No schedule, just go, stop, and go again when I want to. God bless you Linnnea, just keep on keeping on!
The dogs running around the truck like 2 small children was the best!!! 😂❤
I know right! Beautiful!❤
Was about to comment that it made me chuckle!
You are an absolute inspiration to all women who want to create, build, and tackle their dreams into reality. I look forward to watching your homestead grow.
Wow thank you so much!
The fence looks great! This 68 year old woman admires you so very much!
Thank you so much!
@@Linneaandakela you can turn your neighbor on to me cuz because I'm 67. I have a couple acres out in the woods (Blue Ridge Mtns) by myself. It's very pretty out there. I'm a photographer & a nature lover. You're doing good work out there. Look up PictorialSonatas. Stay safe.
Girl!! You work whilst you are young!!! Bc when you get older you have no energy....this is why we do what we can when we have the energy, so we can care for ourselves towards the end.
The top rails will help discourage deer from jumping over your fence. Love the gate!! If you bury rocks under the gate it will help discourage small animals from digging under.
Love this supportive and helpful advice!
Great ideas!
The smiles and joy and laughter are so fun. The luxury of water, right?! From watching the dogs splashing and joyous in the pool to the ability to grow a garden in the middle of a desert. So amazing. I started watching your channel when you first bought Togo and it's just so fun to see the the life changes you've made. While others watch the Kardashians, I'm over here like, "What are Linnea, Chris, Akela, and Kobuk up to this week?!" The fence looks amazing. You need a little chair in the garden so you can sit and enjoy the fruits of your labors. As always, thanks for giving us a peek into your life. Take care.
The pure joy I get seeing the pups play….this channel has inspired me to downsize and step out of my comfort zone. Counting down the days to moving
Aw I'm so happy to hear that. And YES to downsizing and simplifying!
Linnea!! You are just so freakin talented and hard working. I love your videos.
Thank you so much!
There is such a sense of romanticism nostalgia to your journey. Your filming style lately has been charming & soothing to the soul.
Aw thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback. :)
Next year get you some old pane windows, like out of an old house. You can use them on top of your raised beds early in the year. They create a greenhouse for you to start your plants much earlier. ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤
I am an avid gardener and I am so happy to see you, so happy and in your element with the plants!!!
I remember your very first video, so exciting to see you become a beautiful lady, inside and out!!! ♥ Thank you!!!!
I am not a gardener. So, your advice to build a cold frame using old windows on raised beds sounds like genius to me. I love reading comments because there is so much to learn.
What a beautiful idea! Thank you, Amanda!
Loved the dog having fun playing in the pool and chasing each other. Such cute and sweet babes.💜
Your Light is Very Bright, what a Compliment Life Should Be when All The World Shines So Bright
If you ever thought about making a second channel with purely videos of the environment, no words, no vlog, natural sounds and either time lapse or real time of different parts of your property to watch nature do as she does best (exist) I feel it would be so soothing! Even if you did short videos of campfires, the dogs running silly and playing etc. A channel where it's real raw 100% unedited footage.
You are such a cool chick Linnea! I'm in my 50's but you are such an inspiration! I love watching your videos! The dogs, the cinematography, the music...you have the best quality videos out here. Thank you for sharing everything you do!
Aw thank you so much! :)
The hour glass design on the garden gate represents 'time' 'patience' 'anticipation'
Aw I love that!
Linea, great job building your garden. I commend you for being a hardworking independent woman. Sometime next year, I will hit the road full time. I would like to meet you both. Good job.
Aw that's amazing - congrats. I'm so so excited for your next chapter!
Young lady, you are very adiment about getting your dreams done with a flair! You are not at all lazy, or iffy about what you need and want. A hard working gal is what you need to be and smart too, so you have all of those things within you, to finish anything. Since you are also artistic, you can see what a lot of us cant vision. I love the dogs. Look up; you've got this in spades. Admiration is coming from Central Oklahoma.
Beautiful fencing. Loved the dogs chasing each other.
Thank you! Aren't they the best??
I used 6” landscape staples around the bottom of my chicken wire fence to keep the bunnies out. So far, it’s working. It looks great! You did an amazing job.
That's great news! Good work!
Wow such hard glorious work you have done! Looking forward to more! Love your pottery!
Thank you!
Great job on designing your garden fence!!! Watching the pups chasing each other was fun!! ❤
Thank you so much!
Every video just gets better and better. Great music, content, scenery, talent. You must be so proud of yourself at the end of each day. This 69 yr old is proud of you and enjoys watching you build your home space /compound❤
Aw thank you so much!
Your sense of accomplishment must be off the charts!! It is a feeling like no other. You are living YOUR dream. Best Wishes from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you so much! It's definitely satisfying work!
"Look what you have created!" Can't wait to see what you harvest 1st year out... Autumn is right around the corner, leaves are starting to change towards the north of you 💯🌞❤️
Enjoy the fruits of your labor
Congratulations
The fence looks awesome
❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Tara!
Linnea, I love, love it! Awesome job. You should be so proud of your garden and your fence. It's rustic and adorable. I also love how you recapped and said what you learned, what you'd have done differently. Smart girl. :) I wanted to let you know that you have been a huge motivator in my own journey! I sold my house and bought a BUS, and I'm headed on my first adventure, with my two dogs, later this week. I'm in WA now and will head to CO to see old friends and family, and I'll wander the west for the next month or so. I'm so excited! Keep up the videos. Your videos have taken on a more "cinematic" quality, and I really enjoy them! I can't wait to see more on your MT trip. It looks like it was a very spiritual journey for you. ♥
Make sure you have extra money for repairs and a cell phone,be safe, good luck, have fun.
The Fence Looks Amazing 💥
Thank you!
Nice job! I know deer could still jump it, but to discourage them further (and add a flourish) place a top rail connecting each post, to make it the same height as your gate. Notch the ends of the logs to end mid-post. Love it!
Great idea - thanks!
The pups in the pool made my heart smile. What a beautiful broad sky you have. Your fence and great gate turned out s o well. You’ll be glad you cross braced the gate. That will keep it strong. Your garden is really looking good! ✌️❤️🌾
Thank you so much! :)
You never disappoint!! You done a fantastic job on the fence and the dogs playing chase around that truck was just too funny! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next video 😊
Aw I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
@@Linneaandakela you haven't put out content that I have watched yet that I didn't like. I wish all the best for you. I pray for you often. You are a very kind soul.
Take care Linnea 🥰🙏
Determination! You're hard work is so rewarding,' not only for you, but us as well.
Couldn't agree more!
Your fence looks absolutely amazing - very cute, and yes, so you. Well done Linnea - enjoy it and bask in knowing you have done it.
Thank you so much!
Always love your background music, but your relationship with your pups is the best 🐾🦴🐾🦴
They are so wonderful!
Beautiful job Linnea! A corral for the donkey next?😂
Hahaha maybe so!
As someone who’s been watching since u were building out Togo, it’s so lovely to see the “project format” come back :) getting to see you go from conceptualizing to putting in the final screw just makes for a dang satisfying video lol
Gotta have a pup pool. Ooh and I suggest a stock tank pool for you and your guy! Yes, and a fence will protect those precious veggies from the bunnies about. Beautiful skyline you have.
Thank you!
Another beautiful video, Linnea! The footage of the clouds, the editing and the fence are all awesome. Thank you for sharing with us! Always a good day when you post a video.
Aw I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
Congratulations! You should be so proud of your hard work and creativity. You are such a delight, how you live and enjoy life. I love your videos. I'm 71 and appreciate your independence and creativity.
Sunset in the desert is just spectacular 😊
They're so amazing!
Linnea, that looks amazing. Also, I could watch Akela and Kobuk play with each other for hours. Good job, and thank you for the video
Same! They're the best!
I Love watching the kiddos chasing around the truck 😂🤣 I love when my dogs play so wholeheartedly 💕
GREAT Fence!!😁 Isn't it THE BEST feeling of accomplishment? I LOVE that feeling. Breathing it all in☺️ Sure makes it all seem even more REAL. Nicely done 😁
It is the absolute BEST feeling! Such satisfying work. Thank you so much!
It’s good to dig the wire down. But…. Moles, ground squirrels etc can dig. IF in future you see your veggies disappearing down into the bed, gophers etc are living there , literally sucking them down. The Next spring you can dig out your bed. Lay the 1/4 mesh( I’ve sewn it together with wires to make a fully tight seam. & pan out of the mesh that fits it’s use the bed. Usually in high desert, beds are not raised but sunken to save on evaporation. It’s not the Midwest. ( I’m was born in Michigan).
Smiling big time. You’re such a beautiful person and your dogs are so precious.
Aw thank you so much! :)
That is the most beautiful garden fence I have seen. You should be proud. You did a great job.
Thank you so much!
The fence is awesome!!!! It is so cute how hot tired out doggies can turn into water loving pups in seconds :) Gives them so much energy :)
Yes the puppy pool is the best! :)
I love how and through your photography in your Story Projects you allow Nature to be on display to display the story. You position yourself, Linnea into the backdrop of the whole story therefore allowing a presentation of balance between the resiliency of the human spirit offsetting the grandeur, glory and power of Nature! This allows for the viewer to see a clearer perspective of the whole story. The strategies of moving in closer for the intricacies and details while also panning out to see a more expansive perspective. Excellent Job!!

That fence looks awesome!!! Do you ever consider having yourself a storm shelter/cellar dug? You're such a hard worker. Your garden space looks so good.
More please! Every moment is a joy especially seeing the dogs have fun. Thank you so,much.
Aw I'm so glad you enjoyed!
Linnea, have you considered making an Earthship home? Totally cool, meant for off grid living and you can grow food year round. Plus it would blend into your gorgeous surroundings. Loved the dogs❤
Glad to see that I'm not the only one that starts new projects before I have finished the other 3 first!! 😂😂 Great job, looks marvelous!!
Hahaha I feel that. There's so much to do! :D
The fence looks great. I'm loving the thunder storms you are working around.
The dogs were so happy for the swimming pool. It was so heart warming to watch them run around and around your truck and have fun chasing each other.
As always sending vibes of Blessings and Love for your continued adventures on your journey.
The Elephant Whisperer! So good! I also listened to the audiobook and mostly on walks. There were multiple points where I was walking around my neighborhood trying not to ugly cry while I listened.
I am currently hiking the Colorado Trail so I am behind in video's but I have to say, your music choices do not go unnoticed! Excellent! That first sunset was epic. Thank you for sharing.
FYI... If you set your corner posts first then you can run a string to line the line post up with
I have just found your channel and am starting to watch your videos. Today feels like my lucky day. I have an opportunity to watch a lovely brave girl living her best life !! I will look forward to each video!! 😃🤩🏔🌤
Just found ur channel! I love it! Keep it up. Nothing like working off grid with no one around!
When I buukt my garden I just my truck to help pull the fencing tight, just tie it to ur hitch and slowly pull forward then when it's tight, nail the furthest corner to the furthest post and then fill in the blank. It's something my dad taught me. I was like oh that's how you do it. Figured I'd share it.
No matter it's looks good to me. Hard work is amazing and it looks like ur living ur best life!
As someone who's experienced in building animal barrier fencing, I felt I should give you some info. Rabbits and coyotes etc, you want to dig down at least 6 inches. As for inside or outside the posts, it's outside, because inside just takes a push and the dogs can pop the chicken wire off the fence staples or nails (whichever you used.) if it's on the outside, it's harder to get in.
I admire your willingness to try new things and work hard on these projects.
That is the cutest fence, I love LOVE your little garden oasis 🥰👌
Great video👊
Thank you so much!
Great Job (Most Joyous) when a Job is Finished
That sun set ...... OMG !!!! Kudos on that fence job ... must be hard digging out them holes .... Respect !!! 💯❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Thank you so much! Hard work is so satisfying!
You are a hard working young lady. Glad you have your dogs for protection.
👏👏👏 great job! My husband and I are also desert, off grid living in NM. And he is typically at work most days, so I'm usually doing things like this on my own too. You're doing a great job even if it gets frustrating or questionable at times. Keep up the great work!
How cool! Congrats on living such a cool life as well. :)
@Linneaandakela thank you! It's fun and frustrating but I wouldn't trade it. 🙃
Solar panels, drip irrigation and timers. You have a well. Water is life. You can continue to live in the van but you can also build things for your garden, the dogs, etc. you don’t have to live the hardest life you can. You have water. With water you can plant trees that can survive the desert. They will help the land and help the aquifer. Native grasses will also improve the land and aquifer. The logs will last longer if you remove the bark.
Wow!!! You did a great job young lady!!
You are such a good inspiration for young ladies, you let them know they Can do whatever they set their minds too!!
I've always said, "how do you know you can't do something?? Have you really tried??"
Everything is possible, if you give it time and try it a few times.😊
Blessings to you sweet girl!!
🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🫰💜💜💜
Linnea, love the fence! You did an awesome job, as always. I, too, so enjoyed the dogs running around the truck. How nice they have each other. Looking forward to your next video!
Thank you so much! :)
Hi Linnea,
Great job you did with the fence, it looks real nice.
If I may, usually you should place the fence on the side the ''threat'' is coming from, the reason is that in this way the poles helps the nails to hold and support the fence.
The easiest way will be to wrap the fence around the poles and secure it with nails, it also be fastest.
You are courageous woman, cheers.
Linnea, you are amazing!! Your fence is so beautiful and I am sure you were a pioneer woman in another life -- 😂!! Listen to your heart and do what makes YOU happiest - good for you on your self care!! My grandma’s heart was saying to you - “you work too hard”!!
Love & blessings until next time!
PS - I LOVED the video with you & your Mom.
❤️🙏🏻
You are such a inspiring young woman, such full of energy. When you were building the fence I was thinking the same ideas and then you made the same decision. I love watching your video's. You are a shining star (in the desert).
I see both the dogs are so happy now you’ve filled a paddling pool of water in that hot sun 🌞
They love it!
@@Linneaandakela Yes I can see that from your video, 👍❤️
Absolutely love the fence and it is indeed super cute 🥰 Great job!
Thank you!
ASAP get a rain catchment system in place. Use it to water the garden, bathing, cleaning and if filtered well, for cooking and drinking. ❤
The music was perfect, man.
It is sooo incredibly cute! And it is an amazing feeling to accomplish such a task and be proud of what you’ve done. What a great feeling. It’s nice to see you just soak it all in. I’m also like you as far as enjoying projects and the satisfaction that comes from doing them yourself. Lovely video!
In my opinion, I think that you are so wise making good life choices . I'm impressed
There he is theres Chris helping with the door!😁
How blessed it is to have that skill of building ! I am jealous of the fence and the help you have... Good job girl !
I can't do this fence i guess cause of the leach field I have ... I am going to move my garden .... I started on the wrong square lol 🤣 I am so inspired by you it makes me want to leave and start over lol 😂 I should probably call that better help place ....
Also need to put your wire up on the outside so you can stretch it tight around the using come along on the corner posts gives much better fence
Ooommmgggg those dogs fill my heart with joy. Also videos like this are very inspirational, motivational and empowering for sooooo many reason❤❤❤❤
So glad!
Looking nearly done wow you really got it sorted and it looks great , you did that with a little help from Chris bless him yes you did a great job and when your plants get bigger then you can smile and be proud of what you did 👍❤
The other thing I wanted to say was that you can use chicken wire on the outside of your garden fence. If your chicken wire is laid down flat outside of your garden fence, you can pull it up onto your garden fence a foot or so. Bend it at the ground level. Add an extra piece at the corners to cover open ground. Do this all around your fence. You can lay rocks at the outer edge. Any animal that comes up to your fence can't DIG under because they will hit the chicken wire. In time, you can make a flower bed in areas around your garden. The only place you can't do this is at your gate. That could use some stones on the inside of the gate. You wouldn't have to dig down to bury fencing around your garden that way. I use this method on my place. I have clay soil here in TN. Digging isn't easy. The grass can grow through the chicken wire, which camouflages the wire. It's just a thought. GOD bless
You are an absolute star ,I look forward to your videos so much and admire all that you are accomplishing in your life .
Thank you Christine Wales 🏴
Aw thank you so much, Christine!
You have done a marvelous job on the garden fence, it looks FANTASTIC.

Hands up for praising your owne work while doing it 🙌 I love it 👌 We should all do that more often 💪
Agree! Celebrate all the little steps. :)
