Dave’s brother Chris was sentenced to 18 years for a murder when Dave was like 11, the murder weapon was in his bag even though he didn’t actually do the stabbing. He was snitched on by Wale who got out of jail time by cooperating with the police. That’s who Dave’s talking about in the song
He was there when it happened tho so he was complicit in the murder even if he didn’t hold the knife.
