With the pull up, giving someone a rewind is a big sign of respect in the UK scene from the club MC days. Basically saying it's so good I need to hear it again
Last bar was.. "See how did they expect musicians to stay afloat when all our sails (sells - album sales) keep going down the stream (music streaming)."
The whole scheme is set up way before that "Tidal's got the whole world going crazy" (as in the new music streaming project by Jay-z/Beyonce, but also a tidal wave) "its like they rather free spotify playlists, its messed up like this cops on the day shift, who can't stop and search without Tazing, shit seems shocking (like a tazer, but also surprising) when u reading about it... then he goes back into the layers of water wordplay... ending with "I can't swim but i'll be the anchor for the scene (as in rap scene), how do they expect musicians to stay afloat when all our sales keep going down the stream as u say here... The whole thing is outrageous
There's also the idiom of "loose lips sink ships". He says he's not a snitch (i.e., no loose lips), so the Titanic (sinking ship) isn't going down because of him. Perfectly links the real life story back to the water world play on an additional level.

I know this video's 3 months old but idk if anyone mentioned the context for that BRITs line; at the time this aired there were almost no Black artists playing at the BRITs and grime was basically ignored by the establishment, it didn't get airplay on the main BBC radio stations and got overlooked for awards. Dizzee was popular from the mid 2000s but, aside from him, Black artists just weren't given the breaks they needed in the UK to mainstream. In your free time watch tower block dreams ep 1 it’s a documentary about the youth of the uK and has Charlie in it as a teen age ( almost down and out teenager) Charlie is a rags to riches story
Tidals got the whole world moving crazy (Jay Zs streaming platform but also like a Tidal wave) it’s like they all want a free Spotify playlist…. Through to the anchor for the scene (grime scene) bars then finishing the tie in with how do they expect musicians to stay afloat when all of our sails or sales keep flowing down the stream (or streaming platforms) As in the streaming platforms replacing album sales will damage rappers ability to make money. "We all want bars but no one here's a brewer like bringing sandwich to the beach in the hope of finding tuna"
Wretch is a joke 🔥🔥🔥
Should react to Showkey Blackbox, he raps about his best friend being murder and then he got murdered after it at such a young age 15 a think. Such a young talent taken away at a young age😢

Kano fire in the booth a must
Ghetts fire in the desert!!
Americans love lyrics it’s fun to watch
Americans don’t always get the re-load !!! It comes from UK/ Jamaican DJ / MC culture.. when something sounds so fire it calls for a re load!!! In your free time watch tower block dreams ep 1 it’s a documentary about the youth of the uK and has Charlie in it as a teen age ( almost down and out teenager) Charlie is a rags to riches story
K koke fire in the booth is the best one you gotta listen to that one cuhzo
Check out avelino -magick , or avelino ft Dave - Cassius clay (VERY bar heavy on both sides)
This was all one whole tie in, doubles, triples, you name it, Wretch done it in this verse
Casius Klay - Dave and Avelino
This will blow your minds!!
Lowkey and Mic righteous's fire in the booths are legendary too.
You gotta listen to more wretch32 he is one of the best lyricists in the uk
Check out avelino and Dave Cassius clay
