The reason the typical doctor tends to brush their patients off, is because they simply doesn't know enough about TRT to properly prescribe it. Its just easier for them, to just dismiss it altogether rather than learn something new. They are learning though, slowly but surely.
IN any event, people tend to forget that doctors are medicine men by profession . They prescribe medicines to cure, prevent, and treat ailments.

All of these videos about TRT are usually referring to steroid type cycles of testosterone not TRT. I wish everyone would make clear distinctions between the two because they're two totally different things. Guys that are only taking small, legitimate levels of test for TRT which doesn't give you super physiological levels of testosterone shouldn't expect to see "body building" type results from simply having normal levels of testosterone.
But to me, all of these podcasts sorta conflate the two during their discussions which makes it confusing for the average man.
Btw, upper 300mg doses of test are cycles not TRT lol
Most TRT doses never even break 200mg per week

After being on and off of T a few times, I learned a lot.
It’s a tool you need to use to help your body get where it needs to get. Just being on it and not doing anything for your health isn’t going to do much. I was up to 950 at one point. Sure my libido was outstanding but I never worked out. I was drinking lots of alcohol, eating whatever. Not sleeping much. I’m a singer and one thing it did do was mess up my voice. So I got off it for five years and a result my T has gone down to 150. I’m 59 years old and been feeling like a absolute hell.
Just got back on it. I’m taking 0.5 ml once a week now and keeping it chill because I need my voice. It’s what I use to make a living. But I will definitely be working out now and watching my diet and keeping the booze down to minimum if at all.

i think most of the people oversees testosterone replacement: meaning they aspect this hormone to change their life but for 90% of the people it’s not like that. Maybe there are some incredible responders, but there’s a reason why most of the people that are on steroids you see in the gym you won’t even say they lift weights!!
for me: i had very very low testosterone levels… that’s the reason why i started: i thought and hope it would have change my life! but it hasn’t!!
going from 150mg per week to 1,7 GRAMS per week didn’t change so much in terms of mood, motivation, eneregy during the day, body composition… not that much of a difference!!🙁🙁

Ok, replying one year later, but I'm here now! They are the ones that address the elephant in the room. I have made my own meta analysis of the matter at hand, and what I concluded is that the one culprit behind heart disease, increase in body fat index and obesity, diabetes, lower testosterone and decreased longevity longevity - linking them all together, none other than VEGETABLE OILS!!! Yeah, it should not be in our food. It's not sugar (to that much of a degree as advertised), because we had it in our diets from fruit for hundreds of thousands of years. We also have agriculture for tens of thousands of years. So we are used to ingesting sugars. But vegetable oil is a way for companies to make money from waste product of agriculture, and shove it in all of our products, replacing natural animal fats, that we are used to process. Yes, some vegetables have fats, but not in that insane amount we are now getting everyday. Look it up. Please, spread this message. Stop eating that crap.

I was an avid gym guy for about 15 years focusing on lifting as well as running. Towards the end my diet was not what it had been. I have a serious sweet tooth! I started trt continued with the same exercise regimen and did not clean up my diet. I truly thought therapeutic doses of testosterone would only improve libido and mood. After about eight weeks I started looking more like a filled-out superhero. Six pack ABS striations. But... you can't just take testosterone, not workout and be lean and muscular. Unless you started out that way or extremely close.

Increasing his calories at this point makes zero sense. He'll gain weight. If he's at maintenance and now he's on trt in theory the newfound energy and training should put him in a deficit which will cause him to trim down. His goal was to lose weight, not gain weight. Telling this guy to eat more makes zero sense.
