Crystal clear video, crisp and loud audio. Amazing close ups!
paid 20 bucks for a ticket to this show...17 and my first time seeing Metallica...they kicked so much ass
yup...i still have the ticket stub...think i paid 75 the last time i saw them in 09
+monsterGAUZ 20$ back then is about 70-90$ right now, keep that in mind.
now the want over 300 bucks to see them
@@badass6300 thats some real crazy inflation
@@GeniousVideos1 well it's just a compounding effect, the inflation since 1990 to 2019 has been very steady.
Otherwise things like housing, transport, clothes, electricity and many other costs have scaled way past inflation.
47:34 you won’t be disappointed
That interlude in 3rds instead of 5ths makes it more mysterious and interesting.
You're right, thanks, man;)

Funny how my dad was a security at this concert
was your dad into Metallica
It's hilarious
Lucky boy!!!!!!
Lars kinda killing here isn't he??
ATM Rise Absofuckinglutely!!
YES 👊🏻🤘🏻
From 1983-1994 those were Lars' best years then once they downtuned he regressed because he felt he didn't need to practice
@@bruceprophet8367 He was very good in 1996-97 as well; while playing a slower pace with the rest of the band. People seem to think he wasn't because of the Load era - but he was probably the standout member in that period on those records.
@@ryuhayabaker yeah he was still inspired, mature and very tight during the mid / late 90's
Good old days no phones nothing but to enjoy the MUSIC
1:23:22 james attempting to play raining blood on drums
1:17:10 and people say Lars coudnt play Dyers Eve back then
MANTIS I'm totally agree with you but at that time he was a true metalhead who loved playing in metal drummin style. After little by little he become lazy and with a rockstar sindrome so he haven't practice a lot anymore. In the past maybe we could have see Metallica play Dyers Eve in its true version (and sadly they've never done it because of James stubbornness) now he sadly cut away his more difficult parts with the drums...
Coke
@@joerumppe5969 Cocainum....
Sounds like an intro for "You could be mine" song.. you know by whom.
He never was able to do it.
1:16:49 Woah, Lars used to play drums
Vladmir Vladstorf No he used to destroy drums 1:17:42 😂
I was at this concert and it was incredible...I was 17 and this show only cost $20
AC/DC and Metallica on tour for a while, that was AWESOME!
Thank you, UA-cam, for allowing me to experience this again. :)
Amazing video! Love it!
The Metallica I grew up with. They are still killing it today, but man ... Were they on fire back then!!
Thanx for sharing!
The fact that this was 24 years ago.. wow
+omar chafee Fuck I feel old.
Bro!!! I saw them the show right before this in Hampton Virginia...man was it sweet!! They killed it, but yeah, the fact that I was 16 then and I'm 43 now!! Lol!!💪👌😎
One of their best recorded concerts for sure. It sure looks like they're having fun, making music more brutal 👊🏻 and damn that part of James & Lars on drums was epic 🤘🏻
You can hear the first signs of Jame's voice starting to blow-out here, sadly never to recover :(
He can still sing like this but doesn't choose to because it could fuck up his vocals agian
Some of the shows in 93 his voice was very strong.
@@zhp500 yes like mexico city, and milton keynes. Listen harvester of sarrow at milton keynes😏
I could listen to this whole show with just Hetfield's guitar isolated. The crunch from his guitar from the 90's is unlike any other. Love it.
So fucking good, love this man, thank u!!
Jason’s vocals! He’s a beast!!
3 hrs of pure metal. They gave all they could to their fans, my god... Metallica fucking rox!
THIS is the tallica that changed my life! 🤘👍
That snare, damn!
I was there.. awesome show
how was the crowd
Bill Edwards How sick is Harvester live??
Pretty much any performance from '88-'93 of Harvester kicked so much fucking ass \m/
So fast and unpolished. Just the way I remember and love! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
This was just when Het's voice was going. Hard to believe they toured right through 93 as well and it only got worse because of it. Respect for the road ethic but his voice sounded completely different from the beginning to the end of this run.
3 hour sets for the better part of 2 years, almost 3.
Kay Bizzy - Yea, I bet they got sick of it too... The success of the album made them tour for fucking ever, even though that is an opportunity and experience of a lifetime you're not going to say no to, it does wear on a person. - It's no wonder that they dropped the Metal-image, cut off the endless long hair and turned to more Country inspired Hard Rock to take off the strain of the music and performing and so on. - Literally the year after this tour they went like "fuck it" and just switched. I bet it was a whole "load" (ba-dum-tss) off their shoulders.
Michael Angelo H. Ha
@@michaelangeloh.5383 just look at Pantera who were so road hard by 2001 their days were numbered. Case in point look at Phil today vs James.
By 94/95 it was definitely gone.
Those 3 hour sets and lifestyles they were living really did a number on them all. Even James
I was at this show. Went to the Philadelphia show on this tour too.
Youre so lucky
Every single song on this tour is a fucking banger. Wish I was old enough....
Awesome gig
1:23:20
Super awesome for you and family.
It sucks that I was 4 years old when metallica was in my hometown at this arena. I would kill to see these guys in concert with Jason.
Best times of my life
Drums Battle is insane
Man I wish I got to see these guys in their prime tearing it up!For the short time in 92 when they were touring with Guns IMO that would be the best duo ever to share a stage..Too bad Axl was off his meds back then.
Metallica rocks ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
so good
I play there songs on guitar let me tell you at of every band that I've covered there songs are so fun to play and fast I always have a great time when I play a Metallica song
that’s a big part of their success. hetfield makes catchy riffs
I’m laughing so hard I’m coughing and my eyes are watering
Why are you laughing??
@@Magmabbx probably at the fail at 54:01
Great !!!
A sad feeling of nevermore... :'(
Steve you're wrong man !!! Are you really a Metallica Fan ??? Don't think dude !!! They were the fucking masters from '89 to '93. But they are be the greatest thrash metal band of all time.
+Sergio Arévalo Absolutely
+Sergio Arévalo '81 to '93
‘84-‘89
Brian Talbot, I agree 100%, but bear in mind that most of the comments come from kids who ween't even born until the early to late 90's. We were lucky enough to see and hear Metallica during that '84 - 89 period. They have to witness everything through UA-cam, WE wer'e there, I suppose that makes us 40 somethings living history now!
I was at this show!!! Oh my god!
I saw this Tour in New York!! I was 16 years old oh how we miss this Metallica!! Jason signing creeping death!!! No fancy cat-walks, no special seating for VIP guests in the Snake pit!! Whenever you click on a Metallica video and you see that white TAMA Drum Kit with the Monkey stuffed animal, and the black bottom drum skins!!! -you know you are watching Metallica in their prime and at their BEST!!!! I SAW THEM 7 TIMES WITH JASON NEWSTEAD!!! BEST LINEUP IN METALLICA HISTORY!!! MISS THOSE 3 PLUS HOUR SHOWS!!! YOUR LUCKY IF YOU GET A FULL 90 MINUTES FROM THEM POST 2012!!! THEY ARE JUST IN IT FOR THE MONEY NOW!!
"NOTHING ELSE MATTERS" PUN INTENDED!! JASON LEFT AT EXACTLY THE PERFECT MOMENT!!!! THEY FUCKED HIM OVER SOO BAD ITS SICKENING!! JAMES COULDNT DEAL WITH ANYONE BEING MORE FAMOUS THAN HIM!! ECO-BRAIN WAS THE SHIT AND JAMES SHUT THAT POOR BAND DOWN JUST TO SPITE JASON!!! HES A DIRTBAG!!
I saw Metallica here in '86 with Cliff warming up for Ozzy, then in '89 with Queensryche, then this show in '92. How spoiled we were back then, all the top bands played here every tour cycle and tickets were amazingly cheap.
2:22:28
There's something great about how they performed Nothing Else Matters back in early 1992. I certainly prefer it to how they play it today. James used to sing lower in choruses, and of course those harmonies with Jason's vocals were so damn good...
He used to sing low cause Jason did the high harmonies, now he has to sing high so Rob can sing low
what's the riff Kirk starts at 1:31:30?
"Marche funèbre d'une marionnette" - Charles Gounod.
I never knew that James did the end solo on Nothing Else Matters
almost makes ya wanna cry really..i rember this
to see them now almost ready for retirement omg
welp all good things must come to an end i guess.
it’s ok cause the youtube time machine can take you back 30 years ago to watch this
'Did you beat up your mom?'
'What?'

Could be worse I was born 14 years later it’s very depressing
What was the name of the Deep Purple song they played between the drum and guitar solo?
Mistreated
Which one man? They rip everyone one off. Lol. But they do a great job of it!

Watch Mexico City '93 or MIlton Keynes '93 and then you must to shut up !!!!
There are better ones than these two imo but yeah they are awesome, especially Keynes, on fire they were there, although Het's voice cracked big time.
