Notes and comments:
This show is primarily stage shot with a tripod from the taper's section, filmed pretty close using one of the best cameras and external mics at the time.

I didn't get to go, we were in Panama City when they came. Sucks but at least I wasn't just at home in Tallahassee just sitting. We had a fun time at the beach. I would have traded it in a heartbeat to see Metallica though!!!!

I wish James could still sing like this
Ryan Timmel Me too.. but aint gonna happen. Is years and years of shows, he screamed a lot too, plus he is old now and when u get old your voice get old too naturally.. so that is why, enjoy this shows my friend and their current shows cause despite james voice and lars druming Metallica still put some really good shows
So true @@conspiracionesy
Cedericoco Santorini you mean sad but true
Here he has already fucked up his voice. His voice started to weakening in the middle of 1992
This was my first Metallica show. Left the Michigan winter and went to visit my cousin in Tallahassee. I was in the 2nd row left of the stage. At the end if the show, they were throwing guitar picks and drum sticks. I caught the last pick thrown (I believe by Jason). Epic show! Very cool that it's recorded too.
I'm curious to know one thing: does the video (here) actually "feel" the same as your experience of the show (if you remember) ?
@@cedericocosantorini8013 dumb question, how could you EVER compare such??? You've obviously NEVER been to a live concert of 30 plus thousand people!!! LOLOLOLOL!! I guess if you've never been, how would you know, but jeez dude! Lol!
Well this was the first boot I listened back in the day, it was this shitty tape and now we got it here in all it's early 90's footage glory.
It was also the final show on the black album tour...so I likely got the final pick thrown on that tour... Blue pick, says Metallica, and has the coiled snake. I need to find out what I did with it
My first time was in 1992
How about James with the double neck during Fade To Black? 1:26:47
Full Metal Geo pretty badass if you ask me!!
I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the wonderful uploads! Prolific!
Can't believe I found this. I was there for this concert. I would have been off to the cameraman's left about halfway up. Thanks for uploading this.
I saw them twice on this same tour. Pensacola '92 and this show. Seemed like they toured forever.
Hey Mike - we were there with you at the concerts, Ryan and me! Great concerts!
@@beverlym5465 Yep. I remember it well. Good times!!!
They seemed burnt-out here
I was there. There happened to be a boat show going on in the coliseum earlier that day. We went to the boat show trying to find a way into the arena, hoping to see the band. We saw a long hall and at the end was a door. Out walks this long haired hippie. So, we just simply walked to the door, opened it, and walked in to the arena floor where they were building the stage. It was crazy that we were able to just walk right in. We then saw a buddy who's dad happened to be the Tallahassee concert promoter for the arena, John Boyle. Unfortunately he was not able to get us to meet the band but did upgrade our seats to stage left, much better than what we had. This was a great show. This was Metallica concert #4 or 5 for me.
Jeff Rice I was there too! Stage left row 2. Caught the last pick thrown by Jason newstead at the end. I was a fan for several years prior but it was my first Metallica concert.
Maybe you could have gotten in for free, just from the boat show and stayed there until the concert.
Harvester of Sorrow and TTTSNB are the closest to doom metal Metallica ever created!
That is the power of our Lord Cthulhu!
Leper Messiah & the Thing that should not be...running a close second🤘
What is the definition of Doom Metal?
Is that more heavy then Heavy Metal?
Awesome, great show. Interaction with the crowd during S&D, just magic!
I was there!! \m/ While standing in line outside, a cop told me to put my beer down. I finished it and sat it on the sidewalk. He just walked away.
I was there. My first real concert.
I was here! The show originally was supposed to be several months earlier but Jaymz got burned by pyros at a show in Canada I think it was. Saw them in Orlando with GnR and Faith No More when he couldnt play and they had John Marshall playing his parts. They came back to Tallahassee and made good on the cancelled show. Kicked ASS!! awesome show!!
Missed them near my hometown close to Tally. But caught the tour in Austin,Tx. Was busy Soldiering🤘at Ft. Hood. Also caught some other ass-kicking shows in Austin that year. White Zombie,Pantera,Septura,Suicidal Tendencies,Prong,Fight & others. It was a good year for metal. But would have been great to see this show! Thanks for posting it, assuming this is at the Leon County civic center
I was there! my first real concert!
Ive been to over 200 since. 👍
they were unstoppable machine back in 90's no one could stop them. !

When Metallica ruled the world, I absolutely couldn't get enough of them back then.
This is how you put on a FKN ROCK SHOW!! Doesnt get any better than this.

Lars looked badass with the beard!!💪🏼
Newkid on fire (edit: each of them, actually...)
by that point in the tour the band sounded tighter than ever, but james' voice really was really stsarting to suffer
