Yeah, I always liked this one the best. It used to be called the jammin version. I looked for it for a long time back when I was lookin for music videos to download 20 years ago. It's just an awesome video. It focuses on the song, and not the trailer to some war movie. Which, as I wrote that, I remembered, it is an actual old war movie that they got the footage from. And it's actually a great premise for a movie, and it does really make you think.It used to make me angry and give me little panic attacks. I still like this better, but the other version has it's place. It's kinda like that concert/movie short that they did for Netflix called "Some Kind of Monster." I don't know if it's still on Netflix, but it's pretty awesome too.
It's possible to do the movie clips _without_ the movie sounds...... Isn't that what a "music video" is? The studio track over a video.... The distracting part is the movie dialogue and sound fx, which takes you out of the music.
I prefer the regular music video, but whenever I just want to admire James and the other guys, I just watch this. It's just peaceful despite the hardcore music.

The climax of the song, the main thrust of heroism is the possible ability to finally comit suicide. It inspires for me valiant action for no reward. The insane action in and of itself is its own reward.

You can't get into the song because the dialogue from the clips interrupts it.. It's poorly done. All they needed to do was just show the visual of the movie clips and not interrupt with the audio.
And justice for Jason version is better. Newstead is the 2nd best bassist in thrash history behind cliff Burton I'd put David ellefson of the other m band in 3rd place. Jason brought so much energy.
Still the best masterpiece of rock ever created, perfection at its highest level , although great violence and pushed to perfection, totally the eye of the hurricane, mastery at all levels and very much ❤alive in 2024 !
