First Rides On DarKoaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg | FAMILY VLOG 2023

When we visited Busch Gardens Williamsburg back in the spring, we missed the Member Preview of DarKoaster by FIVE days (talk about a huge bummer!) So, we OBVIOUSLY made plans to go back to Busch Gardens after DarKoaster opened to the public!
And, with the busy summer wedding season I had - the only weekend we could go make work to travel down to Williamsburg, VA was 4th of July weekend.
Theme parks are NOTORIOUSLY busy over Independence Day - but we decided that as long as we were able to get on DarKoaster - the trip would be a success. We lowered our "riding" standards VERY low, assuming that most of the coasters would have very long lines, and booked ourselves a really nice hotel that we could relax at if we needed a break from the crowds at the park.
Speaking of our hotel - we stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg (www.hilton.com/en/hotels/wbgk...) and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! The pool area alone was completely worth the stay! We probably logged around 12 hours in the pool area over the long weekend - it was just that good!
But back to the park - to our great surprise, while YES the park was VERY busy (there were people everywhere) - the lines for all the rides were VERY short! With the exception of DarKoaster (which got up to a 90+ minute wait within the first hour of the day and stayed there), we waited very minimally for every single ride - or simply walked right on. Talk about a huge, amazing surprise!
It was such a fun, relaxing weekend!
