Thx, I really didn't wanna be searching for the good rules. Here's hoping the monster manual is better, cuz it does seem like it is a jump in quality

I recently heard a creator describe players who create those disruptively powerful characters as “hiding behind the rules” - really spoke to me

I used to be one of these. I dunno what happened to change it, but anymore I insist on building for support, rolling 3d6 for stats, and I get giddy when I see the 8s and 9s and wonder what fun problems they'll cause. It's so much more fun to work around your weaknesses.

Fighting style feats drive me crazy only classes who get Fighting styles can take them

1:00 Most loopholes are closed when multi classing isn't allowed...
Also, it's 5.24. We're doing the years now because we all know they are going to do this again in ten years...
7:24 I like the UA version of exhaustion much better. The one with 10 points, and the character dies upon reaching 11 points. The one the each level is a -1 per level of exhaustion to and any d20 rolls, and reduces any DC -1 per level of exhaustion (Now included in all those weapon masteries...) I like the reduced speed that they added in 5.24. I might add that somehow...

I agree that UA exhaustion is easier to remember and will be house ruling that. Though I disagree with the multiclass ban as I made great story and gameplay use as a player and it hasn't been a problem once I became a DM

The new surprise rules are dumb. You can surprise someone and they could go before you do. That's not surprising someone.
No, you could not hide while being observed. Rogues can hide as a bonus action, meaning it doesn't take an action. It does not remove all restrictions on hiding.

have you ever actually played D&D with a rogue before? They always be hiding.

"Use you action and the healing potion restores maximum value without rolling"
this never makes sense to me. You drink the potion. The potion does what it does. Having the potion work better/worse depending on if you used your action or bonus action (or reaction if there's a trigger) is just nonsense to me.

@@wizardsling Please explain what makes sense. How? Why? What is being done differently by the character using their action that isn't being done by the character using their bonus action?
Whether you use your action or bonus action; the narrative is identical; you drink the potion, the potion has gone from the bottle to being in your stomach within that same 6sec window.
      Zero narrative difference.
