As a console player I live vicariously through these mod videos and love when it goes in-depth into what all is possible out there…..one day I will be able to get a pic and mod all of my favorite games! This channel is so much fun to watch/listen while doing things around the house.
I've fallen down the modding rabbit hole since getting the steam version of Stardew. By far my favorite mod is the seasonal outfits. Spirits Eve is actually worth attending now
The mod adds the halloween outfits?? I installed it early and didn't realize. Though it's funny at the night market when somebody has a jacket because of the mod and tells the player "oh, man i wish i had a jacket" like yeah i fixed that for you
@@asiaspyroYES, IT DOES. The Spirits Eve costumes are FANTASTIC. I won’t spoil what they all are, but I would say my personal favorites are Linus, Kent, and Abigail. Counting SVE, I love Gunther’s costume.
"Seashells on the sea shore" is likely a reminder about the fact that Saturday is the last day to collect forage from various places including the beach before it is reset on Sunday.
So many good portrait mods out there, but I am eternally loyal to talkohlooeys' suite simply due to having variants to work with both SVE and seasonal outfits
hey sal! you probably already use some, but i highly recommend dialogue expansion mods for your modded playthrough, i think it helps with the immersion a lot! love your vids :3
I wish the notification mod was compatible with the To-Dew mod. Imagine if you walked outside and it automatically populated a to-do list based on what needs doing
WOW so many good mods. My favourite is dynamic reflections because it just has good vibes and the Mundane festival too. It gives you something to do while waiting and it gives depth to the shadow race (maybe the dwarves would have a similar festival for the day they crashed onto out planet?)
Even as someone who uses a generous amount of mods and browses through Nexus regularly, I still discovered some cool mods I didn't know about thanks to this list. Just goes to show how massive the Stardew Valley modding scene is. As for mod suggestions, I'll just be so cheeky as to recommend my own mod "Dateable Jodi" (or "datable" as I originally misspelled it). I know the Stardew modding scene has a bit of a... reputation, but I promise the mod is family-friendly. I don't mind being poked fun at though, as I realize the concept can be quite silly to some. No offense taken if it's not up to snuff though, there are so many quality mods out there that deserve a chance in the spotlight.
Tbh, on my first playthrough I wanted to date Jodi until I found out she was married lol. She's just so nice and it seems like she could have so much more personality if she was a bachelorette.
Man sameee, i absolutly LOVE nyapu's portraits, my favorite portrait mods, all portraits change and all look good(like, theres some that some characters look good but some others look weird) and they even made it for ridgeside and expended
Would really like to see a mod list about how you can change your family dynamics - multiple spouses, more dynamic children, etc. I would love to have Krobus as my roommate and then adopt kids, but I can't seem to find a mod that does it!
An aesthetic mod I use gives me the choice to have a Husky as my pet dog. In doing so, I've brought one of my beloved pets from the past with me to the farm, and watching her run about helps me remember the fun times we had.
3:20 OMG YES!! I'm a HUGE ORAS fan too, and when the bit with the stars in the water came up, I literally said "that's just like in ORAS" out loud AND THEN YOU TOO SAID IT-- ik it's silly, but I literally had to comment on it bc it made my day 🤧 tysm for showcasing the mods!!
Nyapu is probably the best portrait mod ive seen, i like Ohodavi's anime portraits but i think this one fits the game more for an anime artstyle, thanks for showing this!
I'm a bit biased, but check out the Better Horse Flute mod that I wrote. It's a pretty simple mod but it fixes a couple of annoyances with the Horse Flute by turning it into a Tool, which means it stays in a consistent spot in your inventory when you sort it (I keep it next to my Return Scepter) and it's much less likely to be accidentally triggered. Before it I would always accidentally call my horse when opening chests, using the minecarts, etc.
The single most impactful mod for me is Time Multiplier. It's hard to feel relaxed in Stardew Valley, when each day feels like a 14 minute speed run lololol.
TimeSpeed is so far my favorite. Absolutely useful if you just want to decorateyour farm or organizing your chests. I could finish it without wasting an entire week.
Those event notifications are impossible to miss he says. I miss them all the time, the only reason I go to the holidays is that I remember them, and look up their start times on the wiki, because I have been burned way too many times.
When I saw the reflections mod in one of your UA-cam shorts it reminded me of that game and place. Omogma ruby was my first game of pokemon that I started and beat.
my favorite portraits I've found are leyalluna's. I adore how they're still pixel art and fit the game, I love how they keep the charm/vibes of all the characters, and I think they are so cute. not the most extensive as I think (?)they were done before 1.5 and not updated since- but I can't give them up, lol. I love them too much!
the mod I've been using most is Timespeed, which lets you adjust how fast the in-game clock progresses. I know a big part of the game is figuring out what to spend your time on each day instead of doing everything, and that everything in the game repeats so you can never really miss anything... but being able to play at a slower pace and take my time with things is nice. the base game is like 14 minutes for 6am-2am but I have it set to take 2 hours of real time.
nyapu mention! they work so hard updating the mod even to this day! even if you don't like portrait mods, you gotta admire their dedication and love. that new festival is really cool tho, i might have to download it for my krobus roomie playthrough!
Haha, I saw the Pepper Rex with the saddle just chilling in the background early on in the video, and because you didn't mention it I assumed it was vanilla that maybe the dinosaurs were rideable, but it turned out it was a mod after all XD
I have yet to add cosmetic mods to my game but some QOL mods i very thoroughly enjoy are skip fishing ofcourse, which pairs well with fishing info. Then a mod that allows anything to be placed in the shipping bin(since items like weapons/rings have to be manually sold) and since things like the vista portrait or wall basket arent meant to be sellable they become worth 10k. Lastly coal nodes id say is a must have
I love these sorts of mod showcases! You always show off a ton of stuff i’ve never seen before :] It’s sort of mod-adjacent, but if you’re open to ideas I think a mod showcasing different custom farm maps would be cool! DaisyNiko, the creator of the Earthy Palette, has a ton of really cute cozy custom farms just to name one creator, but there are tons out there!!
That inventory management mod should genuinely be implemented into the game. It’s a great feature from Terraria, and I don’t see why ConcernedApe would oppose it
For anyone looking to play with mods and not having a pc, a steam deck is a great alternative. Cheaper than a full pc but can do just about anything on here. With minimal knowledge i was able to get SVE and around 10+ additional mods running perfect on deck. Took some tinkering but well worth it!
I've been looking for a mod like inconvenient inventory cus i mostly play terraria, and it felt weird not having that single button to put all my items in the chest. Thanks a lot, instant sub
wow the festival of the mundane looks so cool like the ancient doll decor is sending me also! could you do a video on the mod date night if you havent yet? it adds dates after marriage which is so cute. also what about the life cycle mod, and generally rival events?! i think they have new cool additions to stardew :3
I for one don't mind the look of the Silo, I don't build them away to hide it, I build it away because I want the area close to my farm that I normally go through to be used for things with a use.
Hey I've been super into these videos as of late since I've been on a sort of a Stardew Valley kick, so thank-you for making them! I'm curious if you're interested in doing a video cataloging all the Pop-culture and Media References in Stardew Valley! One of my favorites is that the one of the Rarecrows is actually a nod to the Scarecrow character from movie Howel's Moving Castle!

These mods are great because we have 1.6 coming out soon that will be helpful towards Modding itself! So, I've been looking back to research some mods to pick and chose from after I play a modded version aha~
For the portraits, I wouldn't shame anyone from changing them. Looking at the history of their changes in the wiki, there are few that I prefer the current ones over previous ones. It's amazing how much appearance of a character changes your perception of someone.
The portrait mod also covers the base version of east scarp now, and the author is workingon a few small npc mods plus some of the other esat scarp related mods, in its page there´s also mention that he might do Lunna, Downtown Zuzu, Adventurer's Guild Expanded, Boarding house and Seasonal costumes but no promises. from what I could gather hes an actual farmer and does the mod in is spare time. Its a really good portrait mod, especially if you liked the old harvest moon games.
I’d recommend checking out the Diverse Stardew Valley mod. It’s super customizable and the portraits stick really close to the original artstyle and in my opinion, actually look better
I wish someone would just make a mod to give all the portraits the same amount of quality as Hayley, Abigail, and Leah. Emily and Marnie especially look really rough in comparison
