The underrated gem from the Jugulator album. Priest can deny this era all they want but Cathedral can stand with their classic material really well. Great reaction!!
Its a shame they have almost erased Jugulator, I think that's a true hidden gem of Judas Priest and much better than Demolition which still gets mentions over Jugulator.
This song is EPIC , absolute amazing. When I first heard it, I was in shock for several days. In 1998. I was 17 ... I met Judas Priest in an unusual way.
Tim Ripper Owens is insane and did Priest proud during his time . Like it's been said it's a bloody shame that the band shun his efforts and albums ! He kept the band alive and produce awesome music which took Priest into another realm . Bullet Train, and subterfuge, and the crazy insane Burn In Hell are a must. Tims version of Diamonds n Rust from Live in London is a Jaw dropper , along with his version of Radid Fire from live metal meltdown 98 are INSANE ! I feel he took Rob songs and actually Smashed them out of the park ! Well worth a look at a mans time in the band ! Peace n love from down under ! The Armchair Head Banger \m/\m/
Appreciate y’all reacting to this song. As a life long Priest fan I actually love this album. Too bad Priest will never acknowledge that it exists. This album should have followed Painkiller. Keep up the good work!!!
Dude, Jugulator is the album that comes after Painkiller; just released 7 years later. Also, it is pretty fukd up that Priest will never do any Ripper songs live.
@@alexojeda9048 Rob and Tim sound very different and I think that it just wouldn't really sound the same. It's like when Bruce tries to perform Di'Ano era songs.
Nice to see a reaction to Tim "Ripper" Owens. Seen him with his own band a couple of times and they were tremendous. He is very under rated in my opinion so pleased to see and hear you recognising his ability. Love your reactions too btw
You'll be hard pressed to find a copy of this album now, not even on streaming sites, seems to be a disowned album by Priest which is a real shame as it is a great album I got it the day it was released as wasn't disappointed.
Always loved the Alice in Chains influence in this track. Just works beautifully with the classic Priest elements of pummeling riffs and soaring melodies.
Another person I was told who was being looked at as Rob's replacement was Ralf Scheepers. Even if not true you should check his work out both solo and with Primal Fear.
Suzi, If you want to hear a singer who has a vocal range of 4 to 5 octaves with Falsetto. I know Halloween over last weekend. Singer's name is Geoff Castellucci. Geoff is baritone/bass singer of Acapella group called Voiceplay. Geoff can hit low notes such as harmonics like an E1. Most vocal teachers and coaches are amazed of his vocal range.
By the way, this is not Rob Halford who is singing this song. Singer's name is Tim "Ripper" Owens. Tim got his nickname, "Ripper" from Judas Priest's Ripper. He is singer for British Steel , Judas Priest tribute band. He stepped in for Halford when Halford wasn't available. Tim recorded two albums plus two live albums.
You guys should totally listen to Metal Messiah. Again, Tim Owens lends his pipes to Judas Priest in this epic tune of how the churches preach false salvation, but will get their dues just like everyone else does.
Sadly the band has pretty much written off the Ripper Owens-era albums. Not sure why. When Rob Halford returned to JP, the split from Owens was amicable.
Rob has stated he'd sing this, and others from Ripper's era live, but the fan response was so negative to his material, that they just choose to avoid it.

ripper never got the respect he deserved. this is a borderline top 5 JP album. Sad Wings, Sin After Sin & Painkiller top it, but for me, I'd round out my JP top 5 with Firepower and Jugulator. (And just saying it.. British Steel is one of the most overrated JP albums ever. Intentionally dumbed down for catching Radio Play. Sorry, not sorry. Might be in the top 10, but only just)
I Like ripper . Now is when i get the hate, but please hear me out. He is a truly great vocalist and could have been greater. but a bad decision to try to clone Rob Halford instead of letting him rip in his own way ruined it. if priest had done like ac/dc and just let the leadsinger be himself and not a copy of bon scott. things may have been different. as i say a great vocalist who could be up there with the best, but wasted by trying to shoehorn him into something he wasn't. this decision made a lot of Judas Priest fans at the time see him as a cheap knock off and not give him his merit where it was due. That is just my opinion and we're all allowed to have one. jugulator is a great disc ,one of the best but just not Priest for many fans at the time.
The underrated gem from the Jugulator album. Priest can deny this era all they want but Cathedral can stand with their classic material really well. Great reaction!!
This song easily stands among the best things Judas Priest ever released. In my opinion.
I've been a Priest fan for 40 years and I love me some Rob, but Ripper did an amazing job. Jugulator and Demolition are beyond heavy.
Its a shame they have almost erased Jugulator, I think that's a true hidden gem of Judas Priest and much better than Demolition which still gets mentions over Jugulator.
Agreed
This song is EPIC , absolute amazing. When I first heard it, I was in shock for several days. In 1998. I was 17 ... I met Judas Priest in an unusual way.
I'll never get tired of seeing people's smiles as Ripper does his thing.
Great song from an underrated album, Tim Ripper Owens was great in Jugulator.

Tim's work with Priest and Iced Earth is pretty awesome
Been waiting to see this song get some love. It's a real shame Priest pretty much denies its existence.
It's the best song they ever wrote
Epic Priest song. They can try and bury it but Tim Ripper kicks ass on this one. One of priest best songs
It's always an event when Ripper finds that extra gear in his voice. MAGIC.
I'm a die hard Rob Halford fan and I think this is one of Priest's best works. Tim Owens is severely underrated and so is the whole Jugulator album.
23 years old and it sounds as fresh as the year it came out. So yeah, timeless...
Appreciate y’all reacting to this song. As a life long Priest fan I actually love this album. Too bad Priest will never acknowledge that it exists. This album should have followed Painkiller. Keep up the good work!!!
You ever notice how Nightcrawler is almost like a preview of Jugulator? The intro, then the clean guitar intro, then the whole band comes in.
Well, now KK and Ripper will play together so we might get the chance to hear it after all!
@@EZ-vm1up But when Bruce does Blaze Bayley era stuff it's epic as hell
Judulator album is the one of their best album ever!!!
Absolutely thank you for reacting to this song. It's an underrated gem.
It more than justifies Tim's inclusion to the band. Such a shame it's been damn near erased by the band.
Nice to see a reaction to Tim "Ripper" Owens. Seen him with his own band a couple of times and they were tremendous. He is very under rated in my opinion so pleased to see and hear you recognising his ability. Love your reactions too btw
For all the negativity that surrounds this era of Judas Priest, Cathedral Spires is legitimately one of their best songs, which is saying a lot.
Thanks for great reaction! Judas Priest is a perfect heavy metal band.Tim have a big voice.
P.S. lady, you're a beaty❤️
Probably my favorite song off of Jugulator.
You should check out Ripper in Iced Earth. 10,000 Strong or the Gettysburg Suite (3 songs) from the Glorious Burden.
Hit the song Blood Staind now!!!
That's the groove that, as a drummer, I have been using for soundcheck FOR YEARS
Hell yeah
There are more great songs on Jugulator as well and some on the follow up Demolition
oh yeah, shame Priest has kind of let those be forgotten, on purpose I'm sure
F***ng right!
The "Jugulator" album is AKNF.
Well done 😎🤘 now listen blood stained from this álbum or feed on me from demolition... Cheers from Argentina
I approve this song!

Great shame if that's the case, but glad I got a copy of it back in the 90's when it came out.
The first time I heard this when Ripper goes high at the end the hair on my neck stood up
you should listen to Ian Gillan high notes on child in time by deep purple

@@michellebedard6933 Oh I have
I love Tim's voice... He's great...
I remember learning this on guitar.. Still Killer!
Only way to describe Tim Ripper's voice FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE 🤘🤘
Always loved the Alice in Chains influence in this track. Just works beautifully with the classic Priest elements of pummeling riffs and soaring melodies.
Also the Pantera influence is strong in this song and in the whole Jugulator album.
Tim also sang in iced earth another great metal band on one of two albums
Another person I was told who was being looked at as Rob's replacement was Ralf Scheepers. Even if not true you should check his work out both solo and with Primal Fear.
He wanted to. And his Judas Priest audition was the reason why he left Gamma Ray in the first place.
Yeah, you like screams check out Primal Fear's Metal is Forever or Sign of Fear; Ralf at his best.
Tim Owens was underrated as a singer the movie rockstar was based loosely on his joining Judas Priest
Tim "THE RIPPER" Owens!!!
Heavy duty song as usual from PRIEST! Everything went in different directions when KK left. Band politics and people ageing makes a difference.
Kk and Glenn wrote the music and lyrics to this whole album..to note they also did all of Demolition as well.
I'm spiraling to the refrigerator and eat some inspiring d'lites yeah song will make you hungry
Thats some heavy shit right there.
Now you absolutely have to do Robs band FIGHT!!! Contortion and Kill It are 2 of my personal favorites! Actually start with Into The Pit!
My second favorite song featuring Tim Ripper Owens on vocals. My favorite song by Judas Priest with Tim Owens on vocals is Subterfuge.
Tim Owens, great singer, great song
Tim owens and kk downing are now in kk’s priest
I wish Halford sang this one too he is the master of judas priest
Listen to Metal Meltdown from Painkiller!
Thank you for appreciating the ripper era
This song is so great ....another song was bullet train and metal massiah hell I's home was awesome too
I believe Tipton wrote the lyrics to the album.
Kinda wish they would have rerecorded the album with Rob. Would buy both versions.
Hallows Eve- Speed Freak
Album wasn’t that bad. Love Cathedral Spires
K k’s priest is the new band with kk downing and Tim on vocals
You should check out Queens Ryche , "Take hold of the flame" !🤘😃

And this is not falsetto .
Its mixed voice with high larynx technique
I had a goth girlfriend when I was a teenager back in the the day you remind me of her alot. I cant elaborate anymore 😂😂
Song is chug tastic btw 🤟
Jugulator, Burn in Hell, Blood Stained, Death Row and Abductors off same album
You need to watch the movie rockstar it is based on tim Owens and Judas priest and how they found him in a priest cover band.
You guys should totally listen to Metal Messiah. Again, Tim Owens lends his pipes to Judas Priest in this epic tune of how the churches preach false salvation, but will get their dues just like everyone else does.
el que siente el arte se nota tanto, el tipo del lado es una esponja...
I believe Tipton wrote most of the lyrics.
You need to have a look at Loch Ness as well...totally underrated Masterpiece
KK is Judas Priest these days. Facts.
React Dream Theater: in the name of god
Live at budokan pleeeeeeaaase
Best song...Death row
Tim "the rippers"Owens...
God, the memories of this track and Diablo 2.

Could be wrong but I believe Ian Hill wrote most music in priest if wrong let me know. 🤘🏻
Ian and Glenn mostly
Ty
Listen diamonds AND rust by Tim Ripper Owens
haha FFFFirst :)
Tim Owens era Priest, interesting choice. Not much with Priest and Owens. Just two albums.
Bulletrain
If you like Tim's singing you should try out Iced Earth when he was singing for them🤘
This is my own opinion but they are sounding so much like metallic , tim sounds so much like James....
