I prefer the half because I find it much easier to keep the opponent on their back due to the twisting effect it has on the opponent's neck and shoulders. I did not invent the crab-ride, but I spent 20 years developing it. I've named many small details/tricks that I picked up over the years.

Most guys will stay flat, but this is a good way to secure a takedown when your opponent quad-pods to avoid being taken down.
