    School bus sunshine yellow. Easiest to see, saves your life, shows the world outside what you’re feeling inside. I had one 500cc. RIP Sunshine.

      Thanks I wish it was mine! This was actually a friends of mine that'd sat for a while and needed a few things to get going again. Hope to find one this nice in the future sometime for a cruiser though, it was a really fun bike to ride!

    Love that color and these bikes will surprise you on take off. Definitely what I’d call a muscle bike.

      Yeah this things power & higher revving nature definitely surprised me. Fun bike for sure!

    These Magnas are so great. I have a 2001 and it's just a pleasure to ride. A well-mannered cruiser below 5k, and a fast muscle bike above 6k. The brakes could be better but that's my only complaint.

      @WreckedRevival  3 місяці тому

      Couldn't agree more! Yeah complaints about the brakes are about the only bad things I've heard about them, shame they didn't keep the dual calipers from the earlier 80s models. Have wanted to get one for myself since I got this one going again for my buddy.

    I am 75 years old and I know where one of these is for sale.
    I love the style and the color "DAISEY MAE" might be her name.
    Anywho the sound that Honda whine was wonderful but the Peace and Quiet exhaust had me from startup.
    Thanks for the great video. We APPRECIATE YALL.

      Thank you I appreciate that! The sound of this bike and power really won me over, I love bikes like this that are quite and unsuspecting. It was a blast to ride and not being loud, less likely to make the neighbors mad for cracking back on the throttle LOL!

      Magnas are cool bikes for sure, have been keeping an eye out for an older vf65 1100 model we can fix up. 😎🤘

    Nice video, Brother. I like your reaction to this bike. Back in 89, I had a Honda V45 Sabre, which is basically the same motor and stance, except the Sabre was shaft driven. I guess this one is chain driven to get more HP out of it. I love that it is water cooled. I want to get myself one and put different wheels and forks on it in order to achieve dual disc brakes up front and a disc in the back. Otherwise, these bikes are great and you can find very nice examples of them for low prices. I'll have one this Spring. ;-)

      Appreciate it! I’ve definitely had the v45 sabres in mind since riding this Magna as well. I believe the 83-86 Magna v65 1100cc and 85-86 vf700c had dual disc brakes up front but not sure whether everything is interchangeable with newer models. Not having dual discs on the newer models is about the only complaint I’ve heard from Magna owners. Would likely be looking into doing the same and getting dual discs upfront if/when I get one lol. 🤙

      @WreckedRevival ,my 82 V45 Sabre had dual discs up front and a drum in the rear. I always dreamed of getting a really clean V65 Sabre because it is a beast. The Sabre was a second faster in the 1/4 mile than the Magna of the same years. I liked the look and stance of the Sabre better. Perhaps I'll get one instead of the 750 Magna.

    Muscle bound cloud.. if you ride one, you'll have to have one.. 80hp.. liquid cooled.. 12 sec 140mph.. V4 is a detuned championship racing motor. nimble and smooth. Still rated the best all around muscle cruiser ever built (no the vmax is not a cruiser). Quicker than the Valkyrie.

      Too true! I've been wanting to get one since fixing this one up for my buddy and test riding it. Was really surprised how much I liked it!

      I think they are 88 HP.

    Why wouldn't it run again?! lol. Man, these engines are amazing, and very under stressed on this bike. People think these are like V-twins, butthey have far more in common with an inline, as far as the hp and torque goes. Very fast bikes for being a 750 cruiser!

    • @WreckedRevival
      @WreckedRevival  Рік тому +1

      Pulse generator was way out of spec causing intermittent miss/backfire and no start but it also needed the carbs cleaned from sitting for a few years. I agree though the sound, higher revving nature, HP/TQ riding it it definitely felt more like an inline street bike engine in a cruiser chassis and made for a fun cruiser. 🤘

    Just got my grandfathers 96 cant get to idle starts flawlessly with choke wont throttle up any ideas?

    • @WreckedRevival
      @WreckedRevival  Рік тому

      Sounds like some of the jets may be clogged, could be due for a good carb clean but may be able to just pull the tank & top of the air box off to get access to and clean some of them. ✌️

    Hola amigos, ¡qué maravilla de moto, potente, rápida, segura, mágica, etc! Por favor, amo el Honda Magna. Creo que es superior a cualquier Harley de su misma cilindrada. Acá en mí país, esta maravilla de moto, el precio ronda los U$S11.000. Pero como es un país maravilloso, enorme, de gente trabajadora, también tenemos políticos basuras, como los ladrones peronistas/kirneristas hdrp chorros, que gobiernan en la actualidad. Hay un tremendo cepo cambiario, con una inflación del 110% anual. Por lo tanto no podes conseguir un puto dólar, ni robando un banco. Se darán cuenta que estoy hablando de Argentina. De lo contrario, tal vez podría comprarme éste tipo de moto. Compañeros moteros, les dejo un saludo desde Argentina, mí querida Patria. Creo que muy pronto la podremos liberar de éstos corruptos hdrp. Un saludo. 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷...

    No point whatsoever replacing pulled gjenerator. Clearly fuel carbs etc. Waste of money

    • @WreckedRevival
      @WreckedRevival  Рік тому

      I clearly state that it was more than likely just the fuel and gunked up carbs @2:30 ALSO that the pulse generator was out of the specified resistance range meaning it was just a matter of time before it stopped working. Some people would rather be safe than sorry and stuck out on the road, maybe not yourself but that's your opinion.
