My cousin is a LA County firefighter, living in Temecula and he’s been assigned to the Palisades fire since the first day. And living in the San Fernando Valley, I got alerts for both the West Hills fire and the one off the 118 near Granada Hills. It was nerve wracking.
That these fires are still raging all these days later has to be terrifying for everyone in this region. I really hope people escape the flames before they reach them. As for this content, it is clear through the false tears, lack of real empathy and forced expressions, plus, learning you were not at all impacted by what happened, that this is nothing more than a money grab and you are disgusting for putting something like this out.
My wife and I lived in Santa Barbara for 10 years and saw many fires over the years and completely understand the feelings and anxiety. Prayers and to everyone going through it. Stay safe and take care of each other.
I have lived all my life in California. I don’t understand why it keeps burning. First in 2017 the Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa fire. Then in 2018 the Carr fire in Redding, that’s where I live and the fire came to a mile from my house! Then the fire in Paradise that destroyed almost the whole town. Then the fires in Lake Tahoe and another one by Lake Almanor, it just keeps going on and on 😩😢😢 I was thinking of you both and Dylan and happy to you all are ok.

My family always remember Susan Summers House and always drive by when we're in the area. This has been a horrible event, so, so sad seeing people's homes burn to nothing. God bless our first responders! After the news got into PCH in the morning light, I know PCH will never look the same after this fire!
As a SoCal native I’ve never seen this much devastation from the Santa Ana’s ever. This was so much and so fast. I am reeling from this. Have friends who were directly affected from this and lost their homes. I thought of you guys when I got word that pch was now on fire. Then realized some of those restaurants we love and have memories at are engulfed. Tonight have others I know evacuated from Hollywood. This is so emotional for all of us. We all have to be there for everyone

I’m so sorry, it truly is so hard, I know personally how a fire can be devastating, my house caught on fire 19 years ago with me and my son inside, my son had gotten 3 degree burns on his hands and face because he thought he could put it out, he was 3 at the time, he is now 24 and fine, and we were able to repair our house. It’s just heartbreaking to see all the homes and people life’s destroyed, I’m sending love your way.

Last November, 2023, I flew from SFO to Anaheim and had plans to go to Disneyland, and when I looked out the window from the Pixar, I finally understood the "Santa Ann winds" people talk about. It was so windy I could barely cross the street. We just came home from NYE after visiting Disneyland and I was happy that we didn't get any rain but I was never concerned about the winds because we arrived the end of December. These winds going on now do not compare to the normal Santa Ana winds people experience in November. I can hear the sounds of concern in your voices and I hope everyone has a safe New Years.

Malibu & Palisades are not walking distance of each other, you could walk, it’s 11 miles on the pch. Wouldn’t call PP in the bubble of Malibu
