Maybe include “man hours” it takes to rebuild a car Dan, not so much a labour cost as such but it should give a good indication how much work and hours go into rebuilding a show car bud :)

Best way is pop a cheap year planner up on the wall, just add the hours to it on the days you work on the car. Tot it up at the end 👍

Your making really good progress on the Polo Dan, it's in pretty good condition for it's age as I'm surprised the floor doesn't need more work plus the front quarters around the lights have lasted really well from what I can see. It's good that you are taking it all back to metal so you can get rid of all the rot, looking forward to the next one👏👍

Cold Autumns day in Australia with a cuppa watching Dan smash it out. Does not get much better, keep it up mate.
Got to say, you're taking a chance having a polo on a spit and cutting this much out at once without any bracing. They are flexible cars even when they're complete. Love that you're putting the effort in to a Polo, and hope it goes well - just worried you're going to get to the end of it and not be able to shut the doors.

Well Dan, I have been looking to you for inspiration. The progress you make on your projects is very admirable. However my opinion of you has dropped somewhat when I saw you put the kettle on. You really need to upgrade to Yorkshire Tea and ditch the Tetley 😊

Quick question though, when are you going to clad the outside of the workshop? and can you please build/buy some racking to put the parts (body cuts) on , fantastic workshop space would hate to see it cluttered, sorry my tidiness thing kicking in there. 🤣
How is your welding coming on? There is no substitute for practice...and you've had your fair share! I've just bought an R-Tech welder to see if that can help me improve, yet to try it tho.

Will be timber when we get round to it.
Stuff you own add a rough price it’s worth so people have an idea of true cost for the build. Also don’t think should subtract stuff you sell for other cars, could be w footnote on the end but not taken off the cars build price or it’s not a true cost for the car build as a stand alone own build. Just my 2p

Dan to be fair, (to you) if you bought another parts car for say £500, took of some bits and then re-sold the remainder for £600 then your spending should show a minus £100…
But we will have made £100 profit....
