- Next on my list it to see if we can get the engine to turn over and run so we knw it all works. Once we know that we can start to strip the car to get it ready for bodywork and then paint!

Moving fast again now mate and its running happy days . Can't wait to see what colour your going. That wiring loom looked quite simple to be honest. Wiring is not my favourite either but looks like the bloke done a really good job on it . Keep the videos coming lad . Roll on next week. Dave

That's awesome news Dan... it lives!! but I would make some sort of bracket if you intend to keep the umm fuel tank on the roof also make a lid for the tank or each time you brake you will get your screen washed by petrol🧐😂😉

Fantastic stuff! You’ll probably want a ratchet strap over the fuel tank on the roof, you know, for safety and stuff 😆😆😆
Boat fuel tanks for outboard motors work well for a temporay set up. They are only about £50 for a 3 gallon one and ideal/safer for fuel system bypass/testing
Great episode mate! One question though. This is the 3rd one that shows for me "Episode 8" in the title description. Is this just me or is there something not working? I think episode numbers are a huge help as youtube seems to always mix up the episodes when watching them back to back.

Mate at this point you might as well just shove a standalone ecu in it haha. Probably easier and would look a lot better in the end without the standard dizzy and leads etc.
😂 this is a budget build. It doesn’t have a dizzy, it is all electronic ignition as it’s a modern engine. Fitting a stand alone ECU wouldn’t clean the bay up any more than it is 🤦🏼♂️

You will be better with a mk2 v-belt pulley adaptor easy enough to machine, iv got one on my hybrid 16v

whats going on no content on this anymore
Videos are getting too short with not a lot being shown ,there was far better content during the Mk1 golf build
Not going to lie, struggling a lot mentally right now and really have to kick myself to get out in the workshop.
