- In our quest to try and get the polo as low as possible we have stumbled upon a possible solution. In this episode we set out to install Mk1 Golf hubs, Trailer wheel bearings, Subaru Impreza coilovers and some custom fabricated parts. Does it all work?

Some great content in this episode Dan it amazes me how you seem to design these parts in your head then make them with no plans in front of you, it would be interesting to have a rummage around inside your brain to see what makes you tick, I'm sure it would be mind blowing🤯🧐😂
This yoke is gonna be savage 👌🏻💯
Great update. Your smashing through this
Dan I can do a bit of simple engine work (and have some race rally engine building experience as a youngster) but I’ve never touched suspension mods. Your Ackerman jig was a revelation using those bits from around the workshop and my respect for your technical expertise is through the roof mate…👌👍
Technical stuff Dan! I can't get my head around stuff like this. Wish I could. To think people do this on their drives is mental! Keep it coming mate, gonna be a sick little Dub!
Gotta love 9am on a sunday!! Cars gonna look awesome! Thanks for your content Dan!
Now that is dedication! Fingers crossed it all comes together and the ride is sweet. Nice one Dan
Absolutely love the content on this one. With stuff like this. A little lathe would be a great addition to your workshop
You’ve got some serious skill doing this mate! Looking forward to seeing it finished 😍
Absolutely the best with Sundays!!! ❤
Dan you really need to get a floor standing pillar drill with a good vice for doing the sort of drilling you do, also been looking at a desk top high pressure water jet cutting machine by Denford, looks a good bit of kit and would work well for cutting certain parts like pattern pieces, shims and spacers.
Amazing progress on
Love that you’re getting into some backyard engineering
Loving all the curve balls that keep coming your way but you keep knocking out of the park 👊🏻
nice job done and amazing how you fit bits from other cars to build your car love it 🙂
Wicked episode and progress Dan.. loving the build.
Top skills, Dan. Making great progress on this. Looking forward to the colour reveal.
Great meeting you today mate, loving the channel
Nice work man, good videos too
Great work as ever Dan. Polo is coming alone now . Loving how low you have got and the engineering going into making it all work proper headache but it will be worth it in the end. Proper buzzed to see what colour your going to do this one aswell as what your going to do with the interior . Good luck with the rest of it roll on next Sunday for the update . Dave
Excellent work. Some clever engineering going on. Stance will be perfect 😎👌🛠
Maxspeeding rods also do wicked diesel heaters
Always look forward to your video on a Sunday morning 🤙
doing well there pal gona be a stunner wgen shes done
Great stuff
Allot of work there mate, fair play👍😎
I see you’re enjoying the Audi suspension.
Awesome watch mate.. watch John ludwick channel as well. The porsche on his channel is schweet! Loving all the fabrication work into this one as well. 😊
👍 👍 👍
how you getting on with the polo
May the coil stil be for sell ? 🫣
If you took the labour rates out, it would be cheaper to fit air.
ua-cam.com/video/dS4EGODmV-A/v-deo.html I'm a bit concerned about the alignment of the hole on that top nut 👀
What's happening with the bungalow mate?
😂 at this point it would have been cheaper to just get air ride
I enjoy your videos mate, but the bodges and workarounds on that front suspension make my teeth itch..
😂 Bodges and workarounds, What because I didn't open a box and bolt them straight on?
@@DanChambersDAC it's not personal mate so please don't take it that way.. but I am a professional mechanical engineer so it's not just because you didn't 'bolt it on' the top mount arrangement is concerning, there's a lot of load going into a weakened strut top, with no rubber damping and being held together with a weak drilled out nut. The spacers between the upright and damper are sub optimal and ugly but not dangerous, ball joint extenders are a bodge. I understand you're trying to show what can be done on a budget, but safety should be paramount.
nice work but there is a lot of talk in the video 🤙🤙
I am trying to explain what is going on as it isn’t just a case of opening a box and bolting parts on. Could do it silent and people can guess what parts I am fitting 🤷🏼♂️
@@DanChambersDAC Thanks for taking the comment into consideration and replying, just a suggestion.
