- Part 2 of the interior build. In this one we make a start on actually building the side units. I try and explain all of the process and show what goes into making a set of bespoke cabinets.

"Fitting lino is an absolute nightmare"... Dan proceeds to fit lino with ease.
I was going to say the same thing. 😂👍
Cracking bit of furniture. That made me chuckle. Sort my life out. A proper midlands thing that 😂
A “can I just” from a perfectionist is always a few hours work. Nice job very patient even when you have to get it done. 👍
You really are a genius when it comes to the carpentry Dan, you ever consider doing it for a job 😉, all joking aside great work as usual,
Brilliant channel. Every video is worth the wait. Great up date. Wish I had access to the same machines that you had today.
Amazing job on the units Dan the design is perfect for a camper, you are very skilled at making cabinets and loved watching you make them as it bought back memories for me when I used to be a cabinet maker for a big mobile home company, I used to make the kitchen and some lounge units and did a lot of edge banding which as you say is very time consuming, looking forward to the next one🙏👍
Again a amazing job @Dan!!!!
Looking good Dan
Looks awesome Dan, great work and that colour looks so good 👍🏻
Quality Work as ever on show Dan.👌
Best day of the week! Thanks Dan ❤
Looking mint !!
Loving this build - floor looks good by the way!!! 🤙🏼
Very interesting video Dan
Great job Dan looks like a proper job....
Looks stunning
Floor looks great Dan
Great work and fab content! Love the dark blue against the wood and the flooring ties in well. Well done 😎👍🏻
Looking lovely man.. great colour choice for the laminate too!
Looking great Dan
Coming along nicely Dan , keep up the good work cant wait to see it finished take care mate
Amazing work on the cabinets for the camper, absolute attention to detail great job Dan.👍👊🔥🤟
The cabinets looks great in the van! 😀
Awesome job mate.. loving the t5 build 👌
great job nice finish.well done.
Bloody brilliant, nice to see a skilled craftsman work.
Dan - Mega! love the detail and thought that has gone into it. The van has come so far nice work mate
Of course there was no way this would be anything other than perfection 😎👍✅✅✅✅✅
Tidy, Dan. Really like the colour of the units and your usual attention to detail and pride in building them. This is an epic camper!🤙
Another epic video dude and looks amazing 👊🏻
Mate, that looks class. Those units are mint. Agree on the floor too, actually looks good. Making me question my decision to go with an expensive floor 🤣
Awesome 👏
Another great video Dan. It amazes me how many T4/T5/T6’s I see every time I’m in my truck… pretty sure I saw a DACI sticker on one yesterday although my eye don’t adjust quick enough these days for smaller letters and stuff.
Keep creating and maybe one day I’ll see your van out and about..
I’m looking forward to the bed build
I did the same with the lino flooring, I'm going to change it to vinyl flooring harder wearing. Your's is looking great and the furniture is fantastic 👍👍
Quietly joins queue to buy van when it’s done 👌🏻🤣
PERFECTIONIST… 👍🏼
Looks mint interested to see the seating/ bed as I'm looking to get rid of the RnR electric bed I have in mine
Looking 👌
Used the code for some SoLow NSL's, ta very much.
Most common phrase on just about every channel I watch: "...and the GoPro died, so..." lol
Ultra immaculate Dan, as well as the bench-bed that you are building, do the front seats recline fairly flat if you wanted to have a quick snooze on those?
👌👌👌lookingggggggg sweet
Dan, regarding the adjustments to the height of the units and the tapering adjustment on the work surface, will you adjust the CAD dimensions accordingly so the design can be repeated if necessary?
Great work, Dan! Is there anything that you can't do?!
The edge handing can be iron on..... A d trimmed using a Stanley blade paint scrapper.... Usedc.a g times in caravan industry.... As a finish even 800 grit...wet..
That is a way of doing it although it is very thin and doesn’t last very well. This is 0.8mm this ABS (plastic) edging that will take a bit of a beating and still look good.
@@DanChambersDAC we always did a dual adhesive. Found the edge banders are ok for some applications. However on others had to use a drum sander. Adapted. With a rubber pad. To push against. Made radius a dream and better adhesive grip... Ps on the abs
Never use anything cirtus based and anything like jif. That has micro beads. Always use a non citrus based product. I spent over three months investigating why so many, vans statics etc all had issues. Jesus the amount of shit and research I did on bloody caravans and statics motorhomes. Lol would drive anyone to loose the bloody plot. But it all changed things that people take for granted....
Great video, matey. Can i ask what wheels are on the V-Dub 😎🤙🏽they are sick
Dan did you get the inspiration for the look from the outside of your building? Looking at the reflection at 20:12 it matches up.
I love the build. Really making me rethink my units now.
Hi Dan, where did you get the lino flooring from? I like it a lot and need some for my T5.
Is there anything you cant turn your hand to Dan ? Very nice work
Can you tow a car with that? We don't get them over in the States, but this seems like it would be great for far away shows if you could drag a car behind it.
You wouldn’t know when those units are fitted the few hundred grands worth of equipment to make them 😂 lol
Are the units secured to the floor or walls???
Whats the added weight to the car with all these parts?
First👍🏻
Banding
The constant explanations are starting to get painful to watch. Is there not a better way to do that? I don't have an answer but thought best to say than not.
I could mime it instead if that helps?
@@DanChambersDAC come on Dan I'm trying to be constructive. I've heard you complaining about viewers comments, so I'm not just blindly having a go. I'm a mechanical engineer with many years experience but I can't follow your explanations without more visuals or context.
If you want to know more feel free to search for more in-depth tutorials on specific jobs you’re interested in.
This isn’t a how-to guide. More of a what I’m doing and this is what I mean by such and such.
There are other channels. Don’t change a thing Dan.
You’ve become painful, after just one comment! Thought it best to say than not!
