Nobody can sing like Barbra. Hard to believe she is 81 years old now. I think the Guilty Album is one of her biggest selling albums ever. Some other suggestions from this album are Make it like a Memory, Promises, Life Story and The Love Inside.
I’m a retired chef- my very 1st year in a kitchen was 1980 and that year THIS song and Anne Murray’s Could I Have This Dance FILLED the airwaves! 💙💙💙🌸🌸🌸
Barry Gibb sings with Barbra on "What Kind of Fool" and "Guilty," both from the same album (named Guilty). The album was released in 1980 and its first 3 singles were big hits. "Woman In Love" topped the charts for 3 weeks in the fall of ‘80.
The single came out this week (!) in 1980 as the first single for the "Guilty" album. The song was number 1 for three weeks in Fall 1980 and the album followed suit. Her biggest international hit.
Barbra Streisand is not only an accomplished singing artist. She’s also one hell of an actress and has done a ton of movies most being with her singing in them even still, her acting is impeccable.❤🎉
@@kthor Believe me I know what EGOT is. I just think not enough people realize that Barbra was the very first entertainer to receive all 4 awards…and she did it by age 27. Remarkable!!
Her biggest global song and album. Hit #1 in over 22 countries. Was the #1 song of the year in France and #2 song of the year in the UK. Her best album. Every song could have been a single. There are 9 songs on the album and no album filler at all.
Guilty, the album was released in 1980. It was produced by Barry Gibb (pictured) and he also did some backing vocals and duets. This album as a whole paints a picture. I would recommend doing an album listen.
Yes it was. She is one of the greatest singer of all time. Everything she sings is a hit. She is great. Barry wrote the songs. Yes they were up for & won awards from every song.
I was SO lucky to be born in 1971 so grew up with GREAT music!!! I remember listening to this at my Auntie’s house and somehow at 7 or 8 knowing this is how love should feel. I forgot it for a long time but I’m obsessed now. Love seeing the reaction videos. That long note!!! How???????
Because of the big backlash with Disco the Bee Gees were writing a lot of great hits songs for other performers in the 1980s there are so many great songs
Beautiful song the Bee Gees wrote. Guilty is the twenty-second studio album by American singer Barbra Streisand released on September 23, 1980, by Columbia Records. It was produced by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and his group's regular production team of Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson.
The Bee Gees wrote this album and Barry Gibb (pictured) produced it. Barry is the eldest of the Bee Gee brothers and is a mastermind when it comes to music, along with his late brothers. Listen to the songs Guilty and What Kind of Fool...duets with Barbara and Barry. They also sing background, solo and as a group. ❤❤❤
All the awards, from Grammy’s, Tony’s, Oscar’s, Golden Globe’s, Lawrence Olivier awards, name it, Barbra had it all. Actress, singer, director, song writer, politician, philanthropist.,. Barbra is incomparable. No one close to her.
Cette chanson telle qu'elle est enregistrée sur cet album est la seule et première prise faite par Barbra d'après ce qu'avait dit Barry Gibb lors d'un interview. "Guilty" LP est ce qu'on peut appeler "l'album" ! This song as it is recorded on this album is the only and first taken made by Barbra according to what Barry Gibb had said during an interview. "Guilty" is what we can call “the album” !
Hey Ace- I think this was a big hit in 1981. It was #1 on the Billboard pop charts for 6 weeks. Of course the album Guilty was also a top 10 billboard album chart success. I am a child of the 70's, and growing up , knew Striesand as an actress in movies, and a singer. Alot of millenials only know her as an actress because of the Fockers movies-they don't know that she was originally a singer and Broadway star.
Hi Ace. Just wanted to let you know that this came out in 1981, I believe, and it was the #1Billboard pop single for 6 weeks. Hope that helps. Also the album was produced by Barry Gibb, of the BeeGees.
If you really want to know the vocal range and control that Ms. Streisand has, listen to "Absent Minded Me" from the "People" album. ( It's not a pop song)
Do yourself a favor and watch the 1976 classic A Star is Born.. the music is amazing the performances are amazing and it changed my life when I was just 10 years old... In the best way by the way my whole family loves me with all their hearts ❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️ my oldest sister and my brother-in-law took me to the show twice to see this because I was always with them because my dad died when I was young... They bought the soundtrack and I used to lay in front of the stereo console with my head against the speakers and my arms folded over a pillow for hours listening to the album over and over and over again.. What'll I do???
Ace Please dont start putting up the thumbnails like all the others ! These ghastly feigned looks of surprise or emotion ! Still one of my fav reactors !
I of course know this song but it was a hit before I was old enough to really get into pop music, which was early 1982. Also it was too slow for my taste at the time. Now I like it.
Barry Gibb wrote this perfect song for Barbara’s perfect voice! No auto tune, just pure, raw talent!!! 🔥 ❤
This song was EVERYWHERE - GLOBALLY! ❤️
She is the best singer of all time. This album is a Treasure. ❤

You don't Bring me Flowers....The Way We Were (Theme song of my high school graduation)
Written by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees ,fantastic song writer fantastic voice of Barbara Streisand !
This was a huge #1 hit in late 1980, I remember well. It's so beautiful and haunting and mysterious-sounding, and Barbra's vocals are amazing!!
She's absolutely brilliant.

#1 all over the world. Great album you need to check out other songs from this. She sings two duets with Barry Gibb.
YES, OF COURSE IT WAS A HIT . NO ONE CAN SING LIKE HER . LOVE UR REACTION . GREETINGS FROM STATEN ISLAND ✌️
With Barbra Streisand, it's not a question of if a song was a hit, just how big. And this was BIG.
The single came out this week (!) in 1980 as the first single for the "Guilty" album. The song was number 1 for three weeks in Fall 1980 and the album followed suit. Her biggest international hit.
Barry Gibb wrote songs for the Album and sang backup on Woman in Love. He also sang Duet with Her on Guilty and What Kind of Fool!.
Barbra Streisand is not only an accomplished singing artist. She’s also one hell of an actress and has done a ton of movies most being with her singing in them even still, her acting is impeccable.❤🎉
She's also what's known as an EGOT (winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony awards) and there aren't too many of them out there!🎶

This song was #1 for 3 weeks in September 1980. It was written by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees.

you really need to listen to tell him with celine dion omg its so beautiful the raw emotion in their voices is amazing.
At first, when you said, “that voice”. I thought, wait! ❤
Song written by The Bee Gees, and also produced by Barry Gibb, went to #1
Make it like a memory (from this album) is my favorite Streisand song.

I knew you would like this song. Who couldn't? I think this is her best song.
in 1980 Barbara Streisand and Aretha Franklin were considered the best female singers.
check out all her songs...you i believe will be pleased
Like they used to say on SNL, her voice is like butter, BUTTAH!
If you really want to know the vocal range and control that Ms. Streisand has, listen to "Absent Minded Me" from the "People" album. ( It's not a pop song)
🐐
If you listen you here Barry in the background
Barry didn’t do backup on this one. It’s three female backup singers.
@@leannmiller7153 It sounds like him thou 😀. The hi fulseto very simuluar 😎. But a great song. Barbaras voice is something else😎

How about "The Way We Were" by Ms Streisand. Can't believe nobody's requested it.

The Guilty album MUST, be played in vinyl. C.D. is not good enough. Believe Barry Gibb wrote it for her.
melody.....something lacking in todays music.
