He does a casual open palm strike against Alucard, with a bit more effort, and that is enough to send him flying. Dracula is just going through the motions, becoming increasingly more annoyed by the hunter trio. Alucard was never his equal, even this weakened form is beyond him.

We must assume Alucard put himself through the most enduring training and studies his father Sypha learned the best combat spells that would rival the Avatar And Trevor had the best weapons and knowledge And they barely won, he let them win basically Prime Dracula would had destroyed them effortlessly
I wouldn't say Alucard really trained for it. He confirmed that he slept in the coffin for a year straight after his first fight with Dracula. The only action we've seen from him before Dracula's Castle was his fight with Trevor after he woke up and against the night demons on their way to the Belmont estate.
Considering these guys aren't at their prime as well, I'd say it was a fair fight. I mean Trevor's ancestors solo fights Dracula so I wouldn't say he could effortlessly defeat 3 of them
0:07 that omega push is so hilarious, badass and humiliating at the same time. Also Alucard used the same push on Trevor when they were fighting for the first time. Love the details in this show!
Love the subtle symbolism of the way the three "form up" against Dracula's attack. It mirrors their roles throughout the rest of the show: Sypha is in the middle, because she is the heart of the group. Without her, Alucard and Trevor may have killed each other from their first meeting; certainly they wouldn't have teamed up. She is the core that brings - and holds - the three of them together; the bridge that helps Alucard and Trevor begin to understand each other, appropriately named a "Speaker." Trevor plants himself behind her because he is the group's strong base; the steady, reliable foundation that holds up under pressure. He keeps the other two grounded and takes care of the mundane details because someone *must.* It isn't a coincidence that the series starts with him either. You can't build something powerful without first establishing it's "base." Alucard is at the front because he is the "head" of the group. Not Leader, so much as Pointman. He makes his way to the front of every battle, knowing he can take the most punishment. His presence enables the others to do their jobs in situations they'd never get through by themselves, and his reason for going after Dracula is the most personal/immediate.
@@venicebeachsportsnetwork6677 - One could argue that because of Sypha's interference, Trevor wasn't fighting as all-out as he could have been. When he was using the whip, especially, there seemed to be a few points where he could have pressed his advantage more. He lands several significant blows before Alucard disarms him. Either way though, Sypha IS the one who convinces Alucard to spare Belmont.
“I am Vlad Dracule Teppesh, AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!” Gives me fucking chills every time. His voice actor is incredible. The representation of Dracula in this is amazing, and watching this cool collected character get pissed off is never not cool.
Too bad Belmont never spoke back to Dracula on here, you'd think he'd have something clever or funny to say to him. Then again you can't afford to waste words when you're fighting for your life.
Old comment but yeah I feel like because of the extreme threat dracula was, trevor isnt wasting even a ounce of energy with speaking or anything not necessary
At you can see how the wall is undamaged 0:19 behind Dracula yet at 0:33 it has a crater in it. This shows that drac was flung against the wall. Meaning during the few seconds of the dust explosion, he was flung against the wall, stood up and walked back, before only THEN falling over, true chad move
Throughout the fight, the main theme keeps intensifying but it never concludes, it stirs up as they get more and more coordinated, and then once they nail him down it finally concludes on trevor with the morning star whip, such an amazing scene, quite honestly one of my favorites from the whole series
I'm curious if Trevor had hit Dracula enough times with the Morningstar if it would've killed him. Yes Drac survived one hit, but it clearly affected him. After all, he did collapse for a moment before getting back up. Could've been he let his defenses down when the whip hit, or it did more damage than we thought.
it Absolutely could kill him yeah. it's the only thing that did any real damage. one hit sent him straight to his knees. but the problem is staying in one piece long enough to land any sustained assault on him.
To be fair, aiming a whip is extremely difficult, and are wildly inaccurate, and aiming for a small area, 20-30 feet away? Most would be considered lucky to have even HIT Dracula. Knowing whips and Trevor, he probably did try to hit the head, but... got the torso instead. Usually, that's all it would've taken for The Morningstar. But Dracula is no ordinary vampire.
in the game, Dracula gets hit with the whip a shit load of times. He got hit once in the anime and it winded him, so if they use the game strategy of keep whipping him with it, he'd have died eventually.
Its scary to think that throughout the whole fight, Dracula was still holding back significantly the entire time to prevent himself from killing his son. Only one he generally went all out on was Belmont and even then he still held back quite a bit.
Trevor and Dracula mirror each other here with stating their names before the group attacking them. Trevor was a drunken wretch, full of pride and anger towards the church and people who abandoned them. He knows he's powerful and wants people to understand that, not afraid to boast, "I'm Trevor fucking Belmont..." being one of his best lines before having his legs kicked out from under him. It shows that in his state he has nothing left to stand on - no Legacy, no acts of heroism; far as the people are concerned and in his state, he's not relevant anymore. Dracula here, however, is a beast simmering with rage. He's behaving like an animal, the thing he despised humans for doing because of the depression the death of his wife brought. You can hear the rage in his voice at 0:37 slowly building up, but he's trying his best to maintain his composure for his status, slowly letting his rage out before using a Dark Inferno. He believes he is above humans, that his status grants him some degree of power or authority, when in truth he no longer wishes to live because of what humans did. One had lost all his power, one had lost his will to live. One was unafraid to show his anger, one was trying to show he was above human 'animals'.
It would have been really cool of after being hit with the whip, Dracula would have fallen down, started to laugh painfully, and say something like "The Morningstar whip....Leon my old friend..." Just as an ode to Lament of Innocence and the fact that this Dracula was once bffs with Leon Belmont
1:01 Man Trevor had the biggest "oh crap" face at seeing Dark Inferno. Before Sypha showed up, he looked like he was just about ready to run. Compared to all the things seen in the show, this is still the largest scale magical attack shown.
I like the way they built this fight. Dracula is an all-powerful force of darkness, but they illustrate as subtext in multiple scenes that he hasn't fed and seemed entirely uninterested in fighting; then it's explained that he struggled with the realization that he probably wanted to die, in a sense. The remnants of his humanity made him vulnerable enough for the three to stand a chance. But even then, the scene with the Dark Inferno struggle seems to illustrate that no single person there to fight him - Trevor, Sypha, or even Alucard - was a match for him even in his weakened state. Only the three of them supporting each other were able to overcome the Dark Inferno; which symbolizes that only the three of them together could hope to defeat Dracula. As drawn-out or cheesy as it could be at times, they really did a fantastic job making this show more than just a schlocky B-movie action/horror animated series.
I love that the magic on display in the show is the same as Symphony of the Night Also that the glass falling in Slow-mo gives you an idea of how fast Dracula and Alucard are fighting in the scene
I like Vlads Terminator moment. Like when the smoke cleared and he was still standing, I was like: GTFO! Then he kneeled like he got the wind knocked out of him. Fool was looking like some Thanos PTSD:”all that for a drop of blood”
Man, seeing Alucard and Dracula going at each other in a brutal melee, with full-on levitation, flight, superspeed, ridiculous durability and strength, and even Dracula's transformation ability briefly making an appearance, really shows how far above those two are from other vampires. Even Carmilla at her strongest doesn't hold a candle to that--she was totally reliant on her super katana to fight against Isaac and the Night Creatures.
Throughout this scene i was worried for Sypha, at the same time i admired her courageous spirit, no matter how times she was knocked down by Dracula, she still got up.
I don't think the mirrors were hanging there by magic, I think they were floating there to show Alucard and Dracula fighting in superspeed so fast it looked like time was stopped. Their whole fight sequence might have lasted, in total, less than a second. Notice how when they smashed into stuff it didn't go flying it just sort of crumpled and stayed there.
I like how Dracula seems to almost be having fun fighting Trevor and Sypha. That “I am Vlad Dracula Tepes AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH” was definitely him getting into character again, just for a moment.
Best thing of this boss fight for me is how Dracula just keeps underestimating his opponents. The back and forth is extremely satisfyingly throughout. Love this series.
Always love it when Graham McTavish’s characters shout. Such an ear-splitting, guttural sound. Lazarevic, Loki, Savanti Romero, Sebastian Shaw and this here Dracula!
I would love to see The Dresden Files animated in this style. I mean, Harry Dresden is probably best described as all three of these characters put together. Fire magic specialty of Sypha. Rugged, fate punching bag-ness of Trevor Dark history and family lineage and reputation of Alucard.

Trevor plants himself behind her because he is the group's strong base; the steady, reliable foundation that holds up under pressure. He keeps the other two grounded and takes care of the mundane details because someone *must.* It isn't a coincidence that the series starts with him either. You can't build something powerful without first establishing it's "base."
Alucard is at the front because he is the "head" of the group. Not Leader, so much as Pointman. He makes his way to the front of every battle, knowing he can take the most punishment. His presence enables the others to do their jobs in situations they'd never get through by themselves, and his reason for going after Dracula is the most personal/immediate.
Didn't Alucard beat Belmont and spare his life in the first meet up?
@@venicebeachsportsnetwork6677 - One could argue that because of Sypha's interference, Trevor wasn't fighting as all-out as he could have been. When he was using the whip, especially, there seemed to be a few points where he could have pressed his advantage more. He lands several significant blows before Alucard disarms him. Either way though, Sypha IS the one who convinces Alucard to spare Belmont.
@@EmphaticNod thanks for the info and great original comment
Of course Trevor is the "base"
Castlevania, at it's core is the 1000 year story of the Belmont Family's war with Dracula.
Good analysis I like it.
It's like a mature version of Avatar the last Airbender, in the scene with the lava ball and sypha pushing back
Yes! I love that analogy! And Sypha is the BEST waterbender!!!
@@Liquifator No she is the Avatar
By any chance, is Trevor Sokka in this analogy?
Yes.
this isn't any more mature than Avatar the last airbender.
Dracula: "But I am no ordinary vampire... to be killed by your human magics..."
Also Dracula: **dies by being stabbed with a regular wooden stake**
Well... It wasn't human magic lmao
It was stabbed by stake, head chopped off, and burned by flames. It took all 3 ways to kill a vampire to kill him
Not many survive a stake to the heart to begin with.
“I am Vlad Dracule Teppesh, AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!”
Gives me fucking chills every time. His voice actor is incredible. The representation of Dracula in this is amazing, and watching this cool collected character get pissed off is never not cool.
*Tepes
0:20 the sound design in this series is amazing.
I've been searching for this music. Di you know it??
The voiceacting in this show is amazing! The way Dracula says Tepes with a hissing sound is perfect.
2:42 that cape animation was SEXY AS FUCK. That was so good.
Good thing Trevor took it as part of his wear
@@jedimojojojo1603 It took me a while to notice that. lol
2:10 Kryptonian Fightscene begin!!! :p
Considering that in the games it's one of the few things that COULD kill Dracula, yeah. But good luck surviving long enough to wear him down
it Absolutely could kill him yeah. it's the only thing that did any real damage. one hit sent him straight to his knees. but the problem is staying in one piece long enough to land any sustained assault on him.
the morning star whip is the shit, it literately sent Dracula to his knees (though he quickly recovered)
“I am Vlad Dracula Tepes and I AM FEELING A BIT UNDER THE WEATHER!”- Polite Castlevania
LOL! XD
I know why the whip didn’t work: Trevor didn’t aim for the head
To be fair, aiming a whip is extremely difficult, and are wildly inaccurate, and aiming for a small area, 20-30 feet away? Most would be considered lucky to have even HIT Dracula. Knowing whips and Trevor, he probably did try to hit the head, but... got the torso instead. Usually, that's all it would've taken for The Morningstar. But Dracula is no ordinary vampire.
Castlevania 1 and Infinity War. Well played
in the game, Dracula gets hit with the whip a shit load of times. He got hit once in the anime and it winded him, so if they use the game strategy of keep whipping him with it, he'd have died eventually.
@@jameslyon2338 yeah, The morning star is capable of killing dracula, but is trevor capable of constantly keeping that pace until he won
Oh, just in case you weren’t impressed before. Dracula hasn’t eaten for over a year. He’s malnourished , and he’s still kicking their asses.
Its scary to think that throughout the whole fight, Dracula was still holding back significantly the entire time to prevent himself from killing his son. Only one he generally went all out on was Belmont and even then he still held back quite a bit.
And he hasn't fed for almost 2 years( counting from Elisa's death) so he was at his weackest point, and was the stronger vampire in the show
I love how he just looks at the whip and lets himself get hit
He was stuck
that explosion sound from the whip is so good if u watch it with a good sorround system
Because humans are so fucking rude and all miserable piles of shits
@@TheWarmachine375 what make vampire any better they act like there so Superior to everyone else and treat humans like pets.
i like to think that those two looked at the burning hole in the wall and said lets take the stairs.
It would have been really cool of after being hit with the whip, Dracula would have fallen down, started to laugh painfully, and say something like "The Morningstar whip....Leon my old friend..."
Just as an ode to Lament of Innocence and the fact that this Dracula was once bffs with Leon Belmont
Gotta love that the Morning Star causes fucking Thermobaric explosions
1:12 Trevor literally "backing up" Sypha, that's adorable!
I love that the magic on display in the show is the same as Symphony of the Night
Also that the glass falling in Slow-mo gives you an idea of how fast Dracula and Alucard are fighting in the scene
Best anime of this year
Can’t wait for Devil May Cry. I hope they do that series in chronological order (OCD talking)
@Starscream91 Show me the link please
@Starscream91 Oh it's from 2013. I wanna see what Castlevania's animators handle Devil May Cry anime.
@Starscream91 Thanks anyway. I'll watch from Episode 1
Dracula was more than just a vampire. Dude was a damn force of nature.
0:55: Final boss going into his next stage.
*Black Night starts playing*
Trevor having Sypha’s back literally is the epitome of couple goals 💖
I like Vlads Terminator moment.
Like when the smoke cleared and he was still standing, I was like: GTFO!
Then he kneeled like he got the wind knocked out of him.
Fool was looking like some Thanos PTSD:”all that for a drop of blood”
Pretty sure the Morning Star hurt a bit more than the drop of blood scene.
Honestly that whip had dracula shook. I bet he could only take so many hits from it
The two most powerful vampires of all time and they’re punching the crap out of each other. Epic fight
0:08 I can’t breathe🤣🤣 the way he screams too
0:50 That part was awesome!!!!
"I am Vlad Dracula Tepesschshsssh" and then he ree's
.....is that a JoJo reference?!
@bdidbw Fun fact: Dracula's VA from the video games is the same as Dio's.
0:53 That Voice acting O.O
Jago Nexus hellishly devine
That palm attack on Alucard 🤯
I just realized that Dracula still has his wedding ring from when he married Lisa
0:52 *I am Vlad Dracula Tepes and I have had ENOUGH!*
The voice acting for Dracula is soooo good
I love when Dracula says his name and just the sheer amount of Trevor standing there going I'm fucked
Phenomenal. The voice acting, the animation, the entire show. Just phenomenal
I can just watch 0:13 over and again.
The animation on Trevor and his whips might be the best thing about this show. And that's saying a lot.
Throughout this scene i was worried for Sypha, at the same time i admired her courageous spirit, no matter how times she was knocked down by Dracula, she still got up.
You see Belmont you're not dealing with the average Vampire Warrior, I am A SUPER Saya- I mean super Vampire.
and then he uses...FIRE SPIRIT BOMB!!!
I.love the animation for this fight and the way alucard and dracula punches affects the areas around them
If nothing else, it is important to acknowledge that Dracula has fantastic fashion sense.
I like how Dracula seems to almost be having fun fighting Trevor and Sypha.
That “I am Vlad Dracula Tepes AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH” was definitely him getting into character again, just for a moment.
Belmont: I have the morning star! What do you have?
Dracula: WTF!?!? Don't you know who I am?
Keep in mind, this is Dracula at his *weakest*.
Just imagine what it would've been like if he were at the PEAK of his power.
They would have been freaking annihilated
Best thing of this boss fight for me is how Dracula just keeps underestimating his opponents.
The back and forth is extremely satisfyingly throughout. Love this series.
Underestimating hell, the *only* threat in the room is Alucard, and he *would* have killed him if Alucard was literally any other person.
Only reason they beat him is because he hasn't been feeding
Alucard here: stands up to Dracula tanks alot of hits and lands some decent blows too
Alucard in s4: struggle against minor minions
0:38 Makes me think of Oberon on Gargoyles. "You have hurt me...hurting me was a mistake!"
Always love it when Graham McTavish’s characters shout. Such an ear-splitting, guttural sound. Lazarevic, Loki, Savanti Romero, Sebastian Shaw and this here Dracula!
Me while watching with my friend who has never even played a Castlevania game: "Heyyy, I recognize that ball thing!" :D
I would love to see The Dresden Files animated in this style. I mean, Harry Dresden is probably best described as all three of these characters put together.
Fire magic specialty of Sypha.
Rugged, fate punching bag-ness of Trevor
Dark history and family lineage and reputation of Alucard.
Yes. SO MUCH YES.
Trevor, Sypha and Alucard were clearly WAAAY under leveled for this fight.
2:05 The way Dracula's son was looking at him, he must had been very disappointed in his father for what he has become......
I love a voice that can be both silky sexy and also brutally powerful.
See this, Twilight. This is how you make a Badass Vampire Fight!
The large magma ball? Nice nod to Sympathy of the Night.
What a wholesome father/son bonding moment.
10/10 for voice overs in this series
