I almost forgot to say how nice your mobile coop turned out. And Tori, you do real 👍 good with that drill motor tool. Keep up the great efforts. You guys have quite the flock!
Automatic doors are a life saver on the weekends. With me waking up early in the morning and long commutes during the week. I like to sleep in a little on the weekends and these automatic doors helps me out
Nice overview and install on that chicken coop door, Tory. We get those slithering surprises in our garden occasionally too. Multiple Four Letter Words Are Said! 😂🤣😃
@TheNakidGardeners no, I don't raise chickens. I actually trap stray & feral cats and have them spayed and nutered through a rescue. If they are adoptable, they are kept, but if they are to feral, they are returned to my property, which is about the size of a postage stamp, but they go back into the community. It's all done voluntarily. I wish I had companies send me free items to test. I was thinking the door might be good for my cat house but I'm not sure if it would work. The feral cats are pretty strong.
We have this automatic door and another one for quite some time and has worked wonders without any issues. If you have it on the inside it would be harder for it to sense sunlight. I think that would cause more issues than having it outside.
Rotational grazing promotes soil help by not having the animals not heavily producing nitrogen on the soil. It allows the area to rest and regrow. Allow the animals to eat and forage in an area so they can get fresh grass eat day and week.

This is a great door, keep the bottom rail clean it will prevent the door from closing if dirt builds up.

We haven't had any issues on this door. We are actually going to do a follow-up on this door since we have it for 30 days now
@@TheNakidGardeners Ok, thanks for the response! 👍🏼

Wouldn’t you want to keep the controls on the inside to keep out of the weather? Especially in a permanent chicken house???

Could a racoon or other animal pry the closed door open at night?
Possibly. But they would have to go thru our electrified poultry netting.
Why do you move them around? Je
We pasture raise our animals for their health and to fertilize our pasture....it's a symbiotic relationship.
