Hello Dan. I love your chanel but I am neither a nurse nor doctor but will like to become an injector. What do you advise I do? I await your response. Thank you.
Wow, I can't believe how much I just learned in a few minutes. I will definitely carry these tips with me going forward! I was hoping to hear about what depth you use around the eyes for crow's feet as there can be varying amounts of skin/fat/muscle in those areas
I'm doing my own injections, I like to hear all of the different preferences and techniques from all of you here in social media land❣️ thank you for sharing 😬
Thank you very much! I keep getting mixed messages about the corrugators injection from different demonstrators but now I know the reason why it should be deeper injections.
Monica Vater Haha! Thanks, I’ll be sure to let her know :) Let me know if there are any other topics that you would like to know more about. All the best! Dan
Monica Vater I would love to do a video on PDO threads but Canada hasn’t approved them yet. I haven’t personally worked with PRF, but when I do, I’ll be sure to make a video. Thanks for the requests! Dan
Exercise is fairly self-explanatory. “Nice” however is subjective. Oftentimes, I’m being nice when I tell people facts, but people don’t think I’m nice when they receive the facts. 🤔
Hi Dan, I'm Jamil(plastic surgeon) from Lebanon, I watched most of your videos and it's all educational, and its for pro, this is among the best learning videos I have ever seen , you and Mauricio de maio are the top, I hope that you visit lebanon one day, best wishes to you, and keep on walking.
it just amazes me how western doctors don't mind sharing their knowledge with everyone online, doctors in my country wouldn't even consider sharing their "secrets" if you don't pay them enough for it and even then they won't tell you everything you wanna learn. thank you so much doctor I'll definitely be a loyal subscriber!
Can you do a video on the forehead, from the eyebrows up please & where they should be injecting vs the danger zones are not to inject. Idk why but there are times I get eyelid droop, and I know I dont want the spock brow either. I have vertical lines. This way I can actually WATCH them and know. Love your videos.
Jacqueline Laguna 👋🏼 that was one of my first videos posted! Unfortunately Canada is pretty strict about advertising any prescription products, so I had to take it down. Danger zones address artery locations. Here are my tips: Make sure injections are 1.5-2cm above the eyebrows. Place a few units at the tail of each eyebrow and inject the corrugators to keep the eyebrows from dropping. Place one unit at each temple to prevent Spock Brow. Your injector should also follow the arch of the eyebrows to prevent them from flattening. Foreheads are one of the most difficult areas to treat properly with botox! I take my time to ensure I have it right. Hope this helps.
Hi Dan, another fantastic video I have learnt so much from you. I am still studying so not qualified yet but one question I can't seem to get an answer for is how deep is considered deep when injecting? Is the 8mm mark or very close to? I understand it may be different for everyone but on an average in patients under 40 what would it be? Also if it's not to much trouble to ask what sensation can you feel while injecting that indicates you are in the muscle? I have been told that you will feel some resistance while inserting the syringe then once that stops and it easily moves through the layers that is an indication that you are in the muscles. Is that correct in your experience? Thank you so much I can't wait to hear your response.
Thank you very much for making this video ..I’m doing all my research at mo to start injecting Botox ..I do my own threads so I thought why not my Botox saves me going every 3 months to get it done ...I know now where to go deep so a very big ty

Great video. So clear. I would be interested in a review of threads. Very popular but some doctors claim when the threads dissolve they produce unhealthy collagen which makes the tissue rigid.
I read they can cause scar tissue. would be nice to get an honest review on them... the doctors pushing to do them don't always talk about the negatives
when you say deep on the eyebrows - you mean you should go all down with the insulin needle ? and when superficial just insert half it? thank you! you are the best!
HI Doctor 🙋♀️ What about the *dilator naris posterior* ( nostril flare area) Whats the depth & should we use a smaller lenth needle or normal insulin sized one? Thanks
I would like clarification as well on how many mm is superficial. I would say prolly half of what u r using so 4mm or the 8mm or 5/16 inch needle we use. Also is 8mm sufficiently deep for everywhere else?(except the massetor as u stated you would change the needle. Maybe go with 12.7 mm or 1/2 inch here(for massetor only)? Let me know what you think doc!
@@Lily-iw5kn Great question , but they don't want to give us a straight answer. Please let me know if you find anyone who give u that information. Thanks!
So the only area that you would recommend longer than 8mm say maybe half inch 12mm is massetor ? For others mentioned( glabella corrugator dao and mentalis ) it’s safe to say 8mm would get u deep enough to not disperse into muscle on top?
Hello Dan! 9 days ago i toxed my frontalis, crows feet, glabella and DAOs. Lines are gone on the frontalis are frozen and crows feet are not showing! The glabella line is gone. But the DAOs. I injected deep. 8mm went straight in. But nothing! I see no change. My mouth have a little down turn that I wanted to fix. 4 units each side. Can you help me please! Your input on what you think I may have done wrong. And I love you! You are my go to when I need to solve a problem are before doing anything! I watch your videos 1st! Very informative! ❤️🙏🏽
Hi .. thank you so much for your videos, really interesting.. but may i know what is the best tips injection for gummy smile?i ever had inject in this area and not good for the result. Thank you .
I love your videos so much. Could you please let me know, if will it be fine to inject Botox in the chin if the client has dermal filler in their chin? Thanks 😊
When you say deep you mean push the 8mm tip all the way in? Then on the jaw clinching maester muscle you switch to a longer needle and go all the way in? Thx
DOA is the most superficial muscle of the face and should be injected superficially. Stand on the contralateral side of pt and inject superficially with the needle pointing towards the gonial angle. You can measure for the point of injection 1.5cm lateral and 1.5cm down from the oral commissure.
What an informative video! I heard that part of the other muscle goes underneath the DAO, so that if the needle goes deep it can hit the wrong muscle. Is that incorrect? I heard the same about the neck band muscles. That there's a muscle below the bands and if hit, can effect swallowing. Is this wrong?
Lita Burns Great questions! 1. The DLI does slide under the DAO, but mostly along the insertion point (along the jawline). Which is another reason why the 1cm over then 1cm down is a great way to keep me above the DLI. 2. Pinching the bands ensures that I’m injecting in the correct area. As we know, however, neuromodulators tend to spread up to 1-1.5cm and may come in contact with muscles involved with swallowing. For that reason, I always advise my clients of this potential side effect. Great points. All the best. Dan.
Hello I’m going to inject myself for first time ever. I’m tired of paying people that do not inject proper. So when you inject the elevens do you inject straight in and deep?
Such helpful information! Do you also pinch the DAO, Procerus, Corrugator, and Mentalis when going deep? In other words, is it a general rule of thumb to pinch anytime you inject deeply? Thanks again for the great video!

Hello there. I was watching your videos and wondering with the insulin needle used for the DAO's. Does it make a difference if you use a 50 or 100 u needle? I know to only inject like 2-3 units. But in terms of needle size. Will that make a difference when drawing up the units. Thank you. Wish you had more videos. 😊
Could u comment on the approximate depth for lateral corrugator injection point since it should be injected more superficially to avoid the frontalis that lies under it laterally, correct ?
Thank you so much for your videos! New subscriber here. I have two quick questions when you say superficial does that mean it’s just a pinch below the surface? Last question, if you go too deep on the superficial injections, would that cause any adverse effects?
